LAUNCH OF CBSE BAKING MANUAL

“If baking is any labour at all, it’s a labour of love. A love that gets passed down from generation to generation.” 

In an increasingly globalized world and a changing paradigm of urban life, the demand for bakery items has been steadily increasing over the years, and the trend is expected to continue in the foreseeable future. This demand is driven by several factors, including changing consumer preferences, an increase in disposable income, and the growing popularity of healthy and organic baked goods. In this ever-growing field, it has become necessary to provide competent professional training.

It gives immense pleasure to announce that Blue Bells Model School in association with Learning and Development Department - The Learning Space, Blue Bells Group of Schools has launched the CBSE Baking Manual for Classes VI-VIII on 3rd May 2023. The CBSE Baking Manual was released and presented by Ms Soumya Gulati, Deputy Director, Academic Development and Innovation, Blue Bells Group of Schools, Ms Alka Singh, Principal, Blue Bells Model School, Sector -04 Gurugram, Ms Payal Uppal, Ms Kavita Jangra, Mr Parmanand Choudhary and Ms Mona Sharma.

Student Handbook Baking Manual aims to describe the aims and objectives of the bakery, hygiene, bread making, bakery, initiating start- ups and becoming of great entrepreneurs.  This book uses simple language and has many pictorial illustrations. The baking manual provides a structured approach to baking, which can be especially helpful for beginners. It can help students understand the basics of baking, including ingredient selection, measuring, and mixing.

Ms Mona Sharma, the master mind behind the baking Manual says that this baking manual can be a valuable tool for students who are interested in learning how to bake. It can provide a structured approach, help develop skills, encourage creativity, build confidence, and serve as a reference guide for future baking endeavours.

Patience, persistence and perseverance are the keys to success The zeal, exuberance and vibrancy were palpable as a felicitation ceremony was organized at Blue Bells Model School, Sector -04 Gurugram on 21st April 2023 to acknowledge the remarkable performance of Anurag Sangwan, an academically brilliant student of Class XII who brought laurels for the school by securing the top most position in the UPSC National Defence Academy and Naval Academy Examination (II) 2022. Dr Saroj Suman Gulati, Director, Blue Bells Group of Schools graced the occasion and felicitated Anurag Sangwan with a Silver Plate, trophy, and a cheque of Rs 51,000/-. The ceremony was witnessed by his proud grandparents and parents.

Anurag shared his success story with the juniors and addressed their queries. He mentioned that a dedicated study of 10-12 hours made him qualify for the written examination amongst 2 lakh candidates who appeared in the exam last year. From the 8000 written qualified candidates, he still had to go through interviews and various physical and medical examinations conducted under SSB. The day of joy, 17th April 2023 served the news of his name being in the final merit list released by UPSC with other 534 selected candidates. Dedicating his success in the NDA examination, he thanked Director Ma’am for her unflinching guidance, Principal Ms. Alka Singh, and mentors for providing an atmosphere for holistic development for the students. Anurag’s grandfather addressed the school and thanked for unflinching guidance.

Director Ma’am congratulated the school and the staff under the dynamic leadership of the principal on the accomplishment. She expressed that the school has carved its niche on the educational map of India. She added that to be the future citizens and leaders of the world one must be curious to learn new skills and have the courage to take a stand. She urged the students to be courageous as it helps to decide, explore, and to execute.

 The Principal, Ms. Alka Singh was elated and said “It is very heartening to see the students giving their best in the journey that we take together as educators and learners.” She congratulated the honest efforts put in by the icon for the exceptional and extraordinary result and wished him a bright future ahead.

Anurag Sangwan of Blue Bells Model School, Sector 4 Gurugram topped the UPSC National Defence Academy and Naval Academy Examination (II) 2022. Anurag with sound academic excellence has projected the notion of "Dreams seen with eyes wide open do come true". Dr Saroj Suman Gulati, Director Blue Bells Group of Schools and Ms Alka Singh, Principal, Blue Bells Model School congratulated Anurag for his remarkable performance and success in one of the most prestigious exams.

He mentioned that a dedicated study of 10-12 hours made him qualify for the written examination amongst 2 lakh candidates who appeared in the exam last year. From the 8000 written qualified candidates, he still had to go through interviews and various physical and medical examinations conducted under SSB. The day of joy, 17th April 2023 served the news of his name being in the final merit list released by UPSC with other 534 selected candidates. 

In an interaction, Anurag accepted his inclination for the service to the nation and the official notification of the NDA examination in 2022 was Clarion’s call destined to make him live his dreams. Dedicating his success in the NDA examination, he thanked the school management, Principal Ms Alka Singh and mentors for providing an atmosphere for holistic development for the students.
