The gems of
the school once again illumined the contest with their sparkle.
The Times of
India organised the Times NIE Newsmakers Meet 2019-20 on January 29, 2020 . Pearl
Babbar of XI C and Shubhangi Patni of IX A competed with 150 other aspiring
reporters from renowned schools of Delhi & NCR in the contest. Shubhangi
Patni aced the two rounds by the dint of her general knowledge and writing
skills. She made it to the top 10 Star Correspondents by clinching the coveted V
Position along with complimentary vouchers and gifts galore.
All the
participants were briefed about the
upcoming events from TOI before the competition took a kick start. The students
were assessed in two rounds Quiz Round and Story Writing Round to test their
general awareness levels, creativity and other associated skills. Students also
got an opportunity to witness the Press Conference with delegates like Mr. Surinder
Khanna, Dr. Sameer Parikh and Mr. Aditya Patani. The students asked various
questions to them and the best question got gift vouchers.
