Class Assembly: Baisakhi & Ambedkar Jayanti

"Gratitude is the foundation of happiness, and equality is the soul of justice."

With these timeless values, the students of Class V D conducted a special assembly on April 15, 2025 to celebrate Baisakhi and Ambedkar Jayanti, blending culture with learning and festivity with reflection. The assembly began with the school prayer, pledge, school song, thought for the day, and news headlines, followed by a message introducing the day’s themes. Students shared the significance of Baisakhi—a harvest festival that reminds us to be grateful, hardworking, and rooted in tradition. The importance of Ambedkar Jayanti was also presented with reverence. Students paid tribute to Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, emphasizing his role in building the Indian Constitution and promoting equality, justice, and education. To add a cultural touch, students in traditional Punjabi attire performed a vibrant Baisakhi dance, spreading joy and energy.

The assembly concluded with inspiring words from Madam Kiran Rawat, highlighting the importance of these celebrations in shaping the values and cultural understanding of young learners. The assembly was not only informative and joyous but also instilled lasting values, leaving everyone inspired to honour both heritage and humanity in their daily lives. In the spirit of creativity and celebration, Class III students also participated in art and craft activity, where they joyfully created colourful paper Dhols. Class IV students showcased their creativity and enthusiasm by composing and presenting self-composed poems that beautifully captured the spirit of Baisakhi. Meanwhile, Class V students delivered thoughtful presentations on the valuable lessons they learned from the life and work of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar.

ORIENTATION PROGRAMME FOR CLASSES VI - IX

Orientation Programme for classes VI- IX was held at Blue Bells Model School on April 5, 2025, with the aim of showcasing the vision, curriculum, and holistic development opportunities the school offers to its students.

A special highlight of the session was the introduction of the school's Health & Wellness Programme, which focuses on the physical, emotional, and mental well-being of students. Parents were briefed on the various initiatives under this programme that promote a balanced and supportive learning environment.

Through interactive, hands-on activities, parents actively participated in their children's learning journey, gaining a deeper understanding of the concept of self-awareness. They also explored strategies and benefits related to self-awareness and emotional regulation, and learned how these would be the central themes for April. The session highlighted the integration of mindfulness practices twice daily—once in the morning and again after lunch.

The 'Know Yourself' segment captivated the parents, encouraging enthusiastic participation and reflection. The session proved to be an enriching and memorable experience, earning widespread appreciation.

Orientation Programme for Classes VI-IX

"When parents understand the school’s vision, they become essential partners in helping students achieve success." Education is a partnership, and orientation helps parents become active participants in the educational journey of their children. Clear and consistent communication with parents leads to positive results for students, parents, and teachers alike. To foster greater parental involvement in their child's development, the school organized an Orientation Programme for parents of classes VI-IX on April 5, 2025. The session provided valuable information about the teaching-learning process, equipping parents to actively contribute to their child's academic success and overall growth. Parents were provided with an overview of the school curriculum, which included updates on students' board results, the school's achievements in various educational areas, life skills training, and the code of conduct. The examination criteria for the academic session were also discussed. Furthermore, parents were informed about the introduction of innovative teaching methods, along with the integration of vocational education and skill-based clubs and subjects. They were also briefed on the use of ICT and the launch of the Metaverse 360 VR program for classes VI-VIII. To foster a holistic approach to education, the Health and Wellness Programme engaged parents in activities that highlighted the significance of physical and mental well-being, under the visionary mentorship of Dr. Alka Saxena, Deputy Director, Health & Wellness, BBGS. Parents explored key initiatives of the Health and Wellness Programme and participated in an experiential session to develop essential skills for emotional regulation, self-awareness, and effective decision-making. To extend this learning, parents received a handout, "Mind Matters" as a practical guide to thought, feeling and behaviour cycle, highlighting the impact of mindful parenting on a child’s well-being. The parents were informed about the initiatives taken by the Learning and Development Cell to enhance students' academic progress. This comprehensive orientation session provided them with a better understanding of the school’s curriculum strategy, ensuring their children have a fulfilling educational journey. The program emphasized the vital role of collaboration between parents and teachers in nurturing a child's growth, helping them develop the self-assurance and determination to overcome any obstacle in life.

PRIMARY WING ASTRONOMY SESSION

“Astronomy is not only about looking up; it’s about expanding our vision of the universe.” An engaging and enlightening Astronomy Club Orientation Session was conducted on April 4, 2025, for students of Classes III to V in JD Hall led by a resource person from Navars Edutech. The session aimed to spark curiosity, expand young minds, and introduce students to the wonders of the cosmos. The session commenced with an interactive Q&A, stimulating curiosity and assessing students' knowledge about space. This was followed by an insightful discussion on the significance of astronomy in daily life. The resource person unveiled an exciting lineup of activities, including Be an Astronaut for a Day, Space Champ, and Junior Galileo, designed to foster hands-on learning and scientific exploration. A moment of immense pride for the school was the recognition of students who excelled in astronomy, as they were awarded gold medals in the NASO Olympiad. Their outstanding achievement highlights their dedication and passion for space science. The session ignited a sense of wonder, with many students expressing a keen interest in delving deeper into astronomy. Their enthusiastic participation reflected their eagerness to explore the universe beyond our blue planet. Overall, it was an inspiring and enriching experience, leaving students motivated to embark on their journey of cosmic discovery.

A notable event segment was an interactive session titled ‘Mind Matters: Encourage Positive Thinking’, led by Ms. Chetna Vashisht, Associate Psychologist from My Peegu, under the aegis of the Health & Wellness Programme. The session aimed to empower parents with strategies to foster self-esteem, emotional well-being, and long-term success in children. The session provided parents with strategies to support their children’s emotional well-being and resilience, promoting a deeper connection between academic success and mental health.

The Parents' Orientation Programme, held on March 29, 2025, was a momentous occasion, marking the beginning of a beautiful journey. The programme commenced with a heartfelt invocation, seeking the blessings of the Almighty. The school Principal, Madam Alka Singh warmly welcomed parents, emphasizing the significance of collaboration between parents and school. The school is more than just a place of learning, she emphasized. It's a community, a family that nurtures, supports, and empowers our students to become the best version of themselves. The school’s dedicated faculty from the Primary Wing took the stage, providing a comprehensive overview of the school's system, facilities, curriculum, rules, and regulations. They provided insightful details of the teaching methodologies, co-scholastic activities, and infrastructure, highlighting the efforts to create a supportive and inclusive environment that fosters academic excellence, creativity, and character development. The Parents were acquainted with the school's vibrant culture, from hands-on learning experiences to socio-emotional empowerment. The parents were briefed about the various subjects and activities that would be undertaken in the year ahead, giving them a glimpse into the exciting journey that lay ahead. The co-scholastic activities were also showcased, demonstrating school’s commitment to providing a self-directed curriculum that encourages hands-on learning, creativity, and critical thinking. They were impressed by school's commitment to academic excellence, as well as the emphasis on socio-emotional empowerment, along with cognitive and ethical development of the students through well-regulated Health & Wellness Programs a part of the school curriculum. These programs are designed to promote the overall well-being of the students, helping them develop into confident, compassionate, and responsible individuals. Grade 3 Welcome Assembly

But don't forget to enjoy the journey." —Michael Josephson As the new academic session begins, Blue Bells Model School, Sector-4, welcomed its Grade 3 students with open arms, ushering them into a fresh journey of discovery and growth. The first day of school is always a momentous occasion, filled with excitement, anticipation, and a hint of nervousness. For our young students, it marked the beginning of a new chapter, one that would be filled with new experiences, new friendships, and new lessons to learn. To seek divine blessings and to give an auspicious start to our new session, a havan was performed. Our students and teachers participated with great fervour, seeking the blessings of the divine for a successful and fulfilling academic year. A special assembly that followed was a grand celebration, it showcased the creativity, talent, and enthusiasm of our teachers and students. The programme began with a heartfelt prayer, seeking the blessings of the Almighty. Our teachers then welcomed our Grade 3 students with a beautiful song that echoed the sentiments of the day. The highlights of the assembly were the dance and storytelling sessions. As the assembly ended, our School Principal, Ms Alka Singh, welcomed our Grade 3 students with her remarkable words, showering her blessings on them for a bright and successful future. Our Primary Wing Leader, Ms Kiran Rawat, motivated our students to spare no stone unturned in their pursuit of excellence, urging them to dream big, work hard, and never give up on their aspirations.

Building a strong partnership between passionate educators, enthused students, and supportive parents is key to a student's educational success. Effective communication with parents consistently results in positive outcomes for all involved—students, parents, and teachers. To encourage parents' active participation in their child's development, the school hosted an Orientation Programme for parents of classes X and XII on March 29, 2025. The session offered valuable insights into the teaching-learning process, empowering parents to play an active role in their child's growth and academic achievement. The parents were informed about the school curriculum, which included an update on students' board result, the school’s accomplishments across various educational fields, life skills training, and the code of conduct. Additionally, the examination criteria for the entire session were discussed. Parents were furthermore briefed on the adoption of innovative teaching approaches alongside the incorporation of vocational education and skill-based subjects. They were briefed about the ICT which has strengthened lesson plans, language lab and Maths Lab modules, smart classes, and digital content, enabling teachers to better explain and clarify concepts. The faculty members outlined the school's vision and highlighted significant efforts made under the Health and Wellness Program. A session on ' Mind Matters: Encourage Positive Thinking’ was organised under the aegis of Health & Wellness Programme to empower parents with strategies to foster self-esteem, emotional well-being, and long-term success in children. The session was conducted by Ms. Chetna Vashisht', an Associate Psychologist of My Peegu organisation. The efforts made by the Learning and Development Cell to support students' academic progress were communicated to the parents. This thorough orientation program helped them gain a clearer understanding of the school's curriculum approach, ensuring a rewarding educational experience for their children. Training Session on National Curriculum Framework

Blue Bells Model School hosted an enriching in-house training session for its teachers on the National Curriculum Framework (NCF), organized by DIET, on 24th March 2025. The session was led by Ms. Shunil Tripathi, a renowned Visionary Career Coach and Financial Mentor and Ms. Sona Yadav, Lecturer, DIET English, who served as the resource persons. Mr. Muniram, DEEO, Gurugram, also graced the occasion. Teachers from Pole Star Public School and M.M Public School also attended, making it a collaborative learning experience. The training provided valuable insights into the NCF, empowering educators with essential tools and strategies to enhance their teaching practices in line with national standards.

The students explored the campus, visited the Chemical Engineering Department, and interacted with senior students. They observed research projects, viewed prominent hostels, and explored sports facilities. The visit provided a deeper understanding of academic excellence and technological advancements, inspiring students towards their future goals.
