WORLD NATURE CONSERVATION DAY- SPECIAL ASSEMBLY

“Nature is not a place to visit, it is home.”

A special assembly on World Nature Conservation Day was held at Blue Bells Model School, emphasizing the urgent need to preserve and protect our environment. The assembly was thoughtfully presented by the enthusiastic students of Grade III A, reflecting their awareness and concern for Mother Nature.

The morning assembly continued with the daily proceedings, after which students expressed their love for nature through a delightful song that celebrated the beauty of Earth. Thoughtfully designed posters and slogans made by the children conveyed meaningful messages about sustainability and eco-conscious living.

A captivating skit portraying the effects of deforestation and pollution was performed, urging everyone to adopt greener habits. The event concluded with a rhythmic dance performance inspired by the elements of nature, bringing alive the spirit of conservation.

The assembly was graced by Ms. Alka Singh, Principal, and Ms. Kiran Rawat, Wing-In charge, who commended the students for their spirited efforts and spoke about the importance of individual responsibility in protecting our planet. The celebration served as a meaningful reminder of our duty towards nature and the power of small actions in creating a greener, more sustainable world.

SPECIAL ASSEMBLY ON RAKSHA BANDHAN

The assembly on Raksha Bandhan was conducted by Grade 3C on August 11,2025 celebrating the bond of love, protection, and togetherness between siblings. The program began with a prayer, the national pledge, and the school song, setting a respectful and unified tone.

A thoughtful quote and vocabulary words in both English and Hindi were shared to inspire and educate. The significance of the festival was beautifully explained, highlighting the core values of mutual respect, emotional support, and strong family bonds. A heartfelt Hindi poem added emotional depth, bringing alive the sentiments of the occasion. The assembly concluded with a joyful dance performance that reflected the happiness and love shared between siblings.

To conclude the program, the Class Teacher , Ms Himanshi delivered a warm Vote of Thanks, expressing gratitude to all students for their enthusiastic participation and to the audience for their encouragement.

The Wing In charge, Ms Kiran Rawat also appreciated the class for presenting a meaningful and value-based assembly, and highlighted how festivals like Raksha Bandhan teach us the importance of caring, protecting, and nurturing our relationships.

Overall, the assembly was a delightful blend of learning, emotion, and celebration, truly honouring the spirit of Raksha Bandhan.

SPECIAL ASSEMBLY ON FRIENDSHIP DAY

“Truly great friends are hard to find, difficult to leave, and impossible to forget.”

A true friend is a blessing; indeed, whether it is to share a laugh or to wipe a tear, the presence of an understanding confident friend can make the world a better place. To celebrate Friendship Day, the students of Class III B conducted a heartwarming assembly on August 7, 2025.

The students initiated the assembly with a solemn prayer, followed by a pledge, the school song, and the sharing of the current events through the National and International News. To enlighten and brighten the morning, a beautiful thought on “Friendship” was shared by a student highlighting the theme of the day.

Students then explained the significance of celebrating friendship by narrating the touching story of Krishna and Sudama, reminding the audience that true friendship sees no barriers of wealth or status. A heartfelt poem on friendship was recited, which received a warm round of applause.

A lively Friendship Fashion Parade added charm to the celebration, where students confidently walked on the ramp hand-in-hand in coordinated outfits symbolizing unity and togetherness. Each pair represented a unique value of friendship—trust, loyalty, kindness, and joy—making the parade both meaningful and fun.

The program continued with an energetic dance performance to a melodious song, emphasizing the true spirit of friendship. The assembly concluded with inspirational words by the Primary Wing Leader, Ms. Kiran Rawat, who appreciated the efforts of the students’ and encouraged everyone to nurture the bonds of friendship in their lives.

Metaverse Session 2

An enriching Metaverse session was conducted for students of Classes III to VIII in last week of July 25, offering a unique learning experience through VR360° technology. The immersive sessions were designed to cater to different age groups, with Classes III to V exploring the theme “Discover the World: UNESCO Heritage Sites” and Classes VI to VIII engaging with the critical topic of “Climate Change: Saving the Planet.”

For the students of Classes III to V, the journey through world heritage sites was nothing short of magical. They virtually visited pre-historic locations, marvelled at the elegance of English heritage, discovered the diversity of Incredible India, explored the magnificence of royal palaces, and admired the beauty of natural world heritage. The experience ignited their curiosity about the past and helped them understand the value of preserving cultural and natural treasures.

The students of Classes VI to VIII, were taken through a powerful visual exploration of the planet’s changing climate. They witnessed the alarming melting of glaciers, the frequency of devastating storms and floods, the destruction caused by wildfires, and the profound impact of climate change on marine life. The virtual journey helped them understand the vital signs of our planet and instilled a sense of responsibility toward environmental conservation.

This pioneering initiative showcased how advanced technology can transform learning by making it engaging, memorable, and meaningful. The VR360° sessions expanded the students' knowledge and inspired them to think critically about the world they live in. It was a remarkable step towards integrating innovation with education, making complex topics accessible and exciting for young minds.

STAGE-O-RAMA: A Celebration of Theatre and History

Blue Bells Model School hosted the Stage-O-Rama Theatre Festival, themed “Twist of the Bard : Classic Tales, Recast and Rewritten” and “From Grit to Glory: The Journey of a Sports Icon” on 1st and 2nd August 2025. Conceptualized by Ms. Soumya Gulati, Deputy Director of Academic Development and Innovation, the event began with ceremonial lamp lighting, traditional verses and declaration of the event.

Principal , Ms. Alka Singh welcomed guests, highlighting theatre's role in fostering self-reflection, collaboration, and social awareness. The curtain-raiser featured a captivating performance by Srishti Sanjay and team. Enthusiastic participants showcased their talents through Hindi plays like Milka Singh, Mithali Raj, Geeta& Babita and Major Dhyan Chand and English plays viz Julius Caesar, Macbeth, Othello and Merchant of Venice .

The jury included Mr. Binod Kumar, Ms Anumita Dutta , Mr Praveena Kumar and Mr Mohit Kandhari , renowned theatre artists. Mother Teresa House won Best English play while Tagore House won best Hindi Play. Overall trophy was clinched by Tagore House.

Ms. Saroj Suman Gulati emphasized theatre's role in exploring diverse strategies and their effectiveness. The two-day event was a thrilling and enriching experience for all involved.

FINANCIAL LITERACY WORKSHOP

Blue Bells Model School hosted “The Young Money Guide” workshop under the banner of Vittclub BBMS – A Financial Literacy Cell, specially designed for members of the Financial Literacy Club from Grades VI to VIII.

The session aimed to build early awareness of essential financial concepts and everyday money management skills. From understanding income and savings to exploring economic freedom and self-budgeting, students engaged in interactive activities, insightful discussions, and role-play exercises that made learning both practical and fun.

READING MONTH, JULY 2025

Celebrating the Joy of Reading – July  2025

To foster a love for literature and language, Blue Bells Model School celebrated Reading Month with a vibrant array of literary activities throughout August 2025. The month was dedicated to cultivating curiosity, imagination, and a deep appreciation for books among students.

The celebrations commenced with a Reading Pledge, where students collectively vowed to make reading a daily habit and a lifelong companion. This was followed by engaging Book Review Sessions, where students enthusiastically shared insights and takeaways from their favourite books, encouraging peer reading.

A special highlight was the Author Celebration dedicated to the magical world of Harry Potter. Students explored the universe created by J.K. Rowling through quizzes, character enactments, and discussions on themes, characters, and values embedded in the series.

Further nurturing creativity, students participated in the Create-a-Story activity, weaving original tales using prompts, pictures, and their imagination. The month concluded on a lyrical note with a Poetry Recitation and Writing Session, where budding poets shared self-composed verses and explored classic poems with new perspectives.

The Reading Month celebrations not only enriched literary skills but also instilled in students a lifelong love for reading, writing, and meaningful expression.

STUDY SKILLS MODULE

“The effort you invest today blossoms into tomorrow’s achievements.”

In today’s fast-paced and competitive academic landscape, mastering effective study techniques is as important as understanding the curriculum itself. Recognizing this need, a comprehensive session on Study Skills was conducted on July 22, 2025, for students of Class XI of Blue Bells Model School under the aegis of ADEPT – A Programme for Enhancing Life Skills, powered by wellnesswise.in and mentored by-

The primary objective of the session was to equip students with practical strategies for learning, retaining, and applying knowledge more efficiently. It aimed to empower them with tools to manage time effectively, enhance concentration, and develop habits that support long-term academic success. These strategies are especially valuable in helping students stay organized and well prepared to handle the increasing academic workload over the year.

The students were introduced to the PQRST method (Preview, Question, Read, Self-study, and Test)—a structured technique that emphasizes the importance of systematic study for better retention of information. The session also covered essential skills such as organizing online study material, effective note-taking techniques, and the various methods of creating detailed, meaningful notes. In addition, students learned about Reading Skills and Writing Skills, which included guidance on mark distribution and time management during examinations.

The importance of studying in a distraction-free environment and maintaining a healthy lifestyle was also emphasized. The learners actively participated by sharing their concerns, which were thoughtfully addressed by the facilitators. Overall, the session proved to be highly effective in achieving its objective. It empowered students to adopt a broad range of study strategies, paving the way for them to reach new heights of academic excellence in their educational journey.

BUSINESS SUMMIT 2025

Business Summit 2025-Comm-Kshtra and Udbhav

‘A celebration of youthful enterprise and visionary thinking’

Great businesses are built on vision, fueled by passion, and driven by relentless efforts. The 3rd Edition of the Inter-School Business Summit 2025 - 'Comm-Kshetra and Udbhav’, hosted by Blue Bells Model school, Gurugram, marked a significant milestone in fostering innovation, collaboration, and entrepreneurial spirit among the youth. Over two dynamic days, July 18 and 19, 2025, the summit brought together high school students, industry experts, and academic leaders on a shared platform to engage in real-world business simulations. With a lineup of competitive challenges, the event was thoughtfully designed to enhance students’ analytical thinking, communication, and financial literacy.

The opening ceremony commenced with the traditional diya lighting with shloka recital. A classical group dance created a perfect ambience for the two-days event. Radhika Agarwal and Meet Khushwaha, the Commerce Wizards, and Ishita Dutta the Humanities Wizard, extended a warm welcome to the management, dignitaries, and participants, highlighting the summit as a platform to foster entrepreneurial thinking and problem-solving skills. Ms. Alka Singh, Principal of Blue Bells Model School, formally welcomed all and encouraged students to embrace their role as future leaders and changemakers and declared the event open.

The theme of the Summit centered on ‘Let’s Innovate, Integrate and Inspire the World’. Dr. Saroj Suman Gulati, Director, BBGS graced the occasion with her benign presence as the Chief Guest. The esteemed Guest of Honour for the event was Mr. Rajiv A Cowasjee, Director, Technical and Practical Arts, Le Cordon Bleu, School of Hospitality and Tourism.

The event witnessed the participation of more than 1100 students from 74 renowned schools from across Gurugram and other cities and states including Haryana, Rajasthan, UP and Delhi. The young budding scholars competed with all their knowledge and might in an intellectually stimulating thirteen events. The plethora of competitions included Trade-E-Thon, Supernova, Nitikar, Litigation Lane, Politiplus, Pitch Masters, Sustainability in Fashion, Digimark, Echoes of Antiquity, Folkonomics, The Ultimate Res-Q, Eidos Symposium and Timeless Strokes. The eminent adjudicators and sponsors of the events were from BMU University, G. D. Goenka University and Start Up You.

The closing ceremony commenced with a Ganesh Vandana followed by a vibrant 'Snapshot' presentation, capturing memorable glimpses from across the summit—preparation zones, brainstorming sessions, venue setups, and the competitive arenas. A captivating band performance and a group dance on the theme ‘Economically growing India’ by the school’s young performers added an artistic flair to the event. Winners across various categories were felicitated with trophies and certificates by the School Director, Principal, and distinguished judges. In their address, the judges applauded the participants’ creativity, dedication, and entrepreneurial insight, and praised the school for seamlessly executing such a large-scale initiative. They emphasized that the summit had effectively empowered students to emerge as visionary leaders, innovative thinkers, and socially conscious individuals. Dr. Suhail, Senior Wing Coordinator, concluded the ceremony with a heartfelt vote of thanks. Centered on future-ready skills and ethical entrepreneurship, the 2025 summit not only cultivated leadership but also encouraged empathy, sustainability, and a global outlook—empowering the change-makers of tomorrow.
