Guru Purnima (Assembly by Class IV B)

With heartfelt gratitude, the students of Grade IV B conducted their class assembly on Guru Purnima to commemorate the significance of gurus in our lives. The assembly began with a beautiful doha, followed by the regular features of the assembly. Students expressed their appreciation through a heartwarming poem and handmade cards, highlighting the importance of gurus in guiding and shaping young minds. They also presented a short skit to celebrate the rich heritage associated with Guru Purnima. The assembly was addressed by the School Principal, Ms. Alka Singh and Primary Wing Leader, Ms. Kiran Rawat, who shared their insights on the importance of teachers. The celebration served as a reminder of the value of lifelong learning and the profound impact that teachers have on their students’ journey of knowledge and self-discovery.

Redefining Commerce Education: Teachers' Training Session

The new National Curriculum Framework (NCF) 2023 has broadened traditional commerce subjects like Business Studies and Accountancy into Interdisciplinary Areas (IDA). Dr Shunil Tripathi, a renowned Commerce Stream Trainer conducted a teachers' training session for the Commerce Department where the teachers together explored innovative, practical teaching methods for these subjects.

The discussion included integration of these subjects into vocational studies from Class VI onwards to foster entrepreneurship and financial literacy. This early exposure can help students discover their interests and potentially choose these subjects as career options in Classes XI and XII. The interactive session was enriched by the curiosity and enthusiasm of the participants.

Save Water (Assembly by Class V D)

“Water is a Treasure, Save it with Pleasure!”

Water is a precious and finite resource essential for life, yet it is often taken for granted. With increasing population, industrial growth, and climate change, water scarcity is becoming a significant global challenge. On 15th of July 2024, the students of Class V D gathered for an enlightening assembly on the critical topic of saving water. The assembly aimed to educate young minds about the importance of water conservation and encourage them to adopt water-saving habits. The assembly began with the regular features-prayer, pledge and school song followed by the thought for the day and news. Through discussion on the significance of water in our daily lives, the students learned that water is essential for drinking, cleaning, growing food, and supporting all living things. The highlight of the assembly was a captivating Musical Skit performed by the talented students. The presentation highlighted that water is a precious resource that sustains life. Without water, we wouldn’t be able to live, and neither would plants or animals. It emphasized that water is crucial for keeping us healthy, growing crops, and maintaining natural habitats. The assembly concluded with an address by our Primary Wing Leader, Ms. Kiran Rawat. The assembly was a great success, and the students left with a deeper understanding of why it is crucial to save water and how they can contribute to this important cause.

Jal Shakti Abhiyan-Neer Nirmaan

Blue Bells Model School, under the Jal Shakti Abhiyan as Neer Sevis, has launched an initiative “Neer Nirmaan” to address the severe water scarcity and resource depletion in Gurugram. The future leaders of tomorrow under the guidance of Ms Manisha Singh, School Faculty went to Ghata Jheel and started the Abhiyan. Focusing on Ghata Bundh, an area that has alarmingly reduced from 370 acres to just 2 acres, the school aims to understand the root causes of this critical issue. The students carried out a range of activities to gain insights and raise awareness about the situation.

The team interviewed residents to gauge their response to the deteriorating state of Ghata Jheel and Bundh. They distributed self-designed flyers to educate the community about the ongoing crisis. Additionally, they conducted pH paper tests to assess the contamination levels in the Ghata Jheel water. These efforts aim to not only understand the current scenario but also to engage and inform a broader audience about the urgent need for water conservation.

DOCTORS DAY

Doctors Day is an important event that commemorates the sacrifices, expertise, and relentless efforts of doctors in saving lives. To recognise and honour their invaluable contribution towards the well-being of society, the Health & Wellness team Blue Bells Model School under the inspirational leadership of Dr. Alka Saxena, Deputy Director (Health and Wellness) Blue Bells Group of Schools organized special assemblies to celebrate Doctors Day.

 The assemblies were conducted on July 5 & July 8, 2024, for Middle & Primary  Wing respectively. The Peer Educators, School Council members and the students of different wings participated in the assembly and paid a solemn tribute to the invaluable services rendered by healthcare professionals.

The students dedicated a heartfelt poem to the doctors on their indispensable contribution towards the health and wellbeing of all.

The School Medical Team Dr. Sanjay along with the school nurses, Ms. Rosamma and Ms. Jincy gave an insightful presentation on items of basic First Aid Box and their usage.  School doctors shared the Dos and Donts to be followed during any untoward incidents and further apprised each one about the importance of maintaining hygiene during the monsoon season.

 The students showed their appreciation by presenting handmade cards to the School Medical Team, as a thankful gesture to acknowledge the teams tireless efforts in serving others.

Ms. Alka Singh, Principal, Ms. Kiran Rawat, Primary Wing Leader, and Ms. Anshu Malika, Middle Wing Leader expressed their gratitude towards the closure of the event. They commended the dedication of the doctors and nurses, for their remarkable commitment towards serving the humanity.

CYBER AMBASSADOR SUMMER INTERNSHIP PROGRAMME

Students from Blue Bells Model School participated in the Cyber Ambassador Program, a summer internship organized by the Gurugram Police to enhance cybersecurity awareness. Led by Mr. Rakshit Tandon, an international cyber expert, and the Gurugram Police Cyber Cell experts, the programme aimed to equip participants with knowledge and skills to protect against cyber-attacks. Students engaged in interactive discussions, Q&A sessions, and hands-on workshops, gaining practical insights into current cyber threats and vulnerabilities.

Ms. Anshuka Aneja, Deputy Director IT (Blue Bells Group of Schools), congratulated the Cyber Ambassadors on successfully completing the programme which provided a comprehensive understanding of cyber threats and mitigation strategies. Participants developed practical cybersecurity skills, learned to implement security measures, and responded to cyber incidents through real-world case studies. The internship also facilitated networking with experts and peers, enriching their cybersecurity knowledge and professional connections.

Startup Ka Mahakumbh 4.0

BBMS Shines at Startup ka Mahakumbh 4.0: Innovators of Tomorrow

The students of Blue Bells Model School showcased their skills at Startup ka Mahakumbh 4.0- India’s First Tech Startup Conclave and witnessed the future unfold at Startup Expo, a dynamic platform igniting the spirit of innovation and entrepreneurship in India. The immersive event, took place from 28th to 30th June 2024, was designed to connect aspiring founders with seasoned investors, industry leaders, and fellow dreamers, fostering a collaborative ecosystem for impactful growth. The expansive expo floor showcased a diverse range of startups across sectors like technology, healthcare, social impact, and more. The participants experienced various cutting-edge solutions, explored innovative products and services, and engaged with passionate founders.

The students showcased their innovative projects- 'Protectifier ' , an antibullying app and 'Envirobond' - CFC Neutrilizer . Students got remarkable appreciation as youngest innovators .  

The power-packed conclave offered an unparalleled learning experience. 

Kedarkantha Trek

The Kedarkantha trek for classes XI-XII was an 8-day adventure through Govind Pashu Vihar National Park in Uttarakhand, including travel from Gurgaon to Dehradun and back. Known for its popularity among both seasoned and beginner trekkers, the trek features a challenging but rewarding summit climb at an altitude of 12,500 ft. Starting from the base camp at Juda ka Talab, students were accompanied by the majestic upper Himalayan peaks, offering breathtaking views throughout the journey.

Despite the difficulty of the climb, reaching the summit filled the students with a strong sense of satisfaction and accomplishment. The trek not only provided stunning natural beauty but also incorporated various educational and survival skills activities, enriching the students' experience. This unique combination of physical challenge and learning made the Kedarkantha trek an unforgettable adventure for all participants.

Vanmahotsav Celebration

Vanmahotsav Celebration: A Pledge to Our Motherland

Class Assembly IX C

The special assembly conducted by Class IX C at Blue Bells Model School celebrated Vanmahotsav Week with enthusiasm and a promise to our green friends. The event was anchored by Sanah Dahiya and Kashika, emphasizing the importance of Vanmahotsav Day among the students.

The assembly included segments such as a prayer invoking positive vibrations, updates on national and international news, sports news highlighting the role of sports in holistic development, recognition of students' achievements, a thought of the day encouraging positive thinking, and a quiz reinforcing learning on facts related to the importance of this day.

The event began with the sowing of the sapling of success and determination by the Principal, Dr. Alka Singh, accompanied by a melodious song sung by Saanvi. The assembly also featured a speech and a poem  on the significance of planting trees, highlighting its necessity. The students also organised a rally shouting slogans emphasizing the need to preserve trees. The assembly concluded with enlightening words by the Principal and a pledge to increase the tree cover, followed by the National Anthem to signify respect and patriotism.

Overall, the assembly served as a platform to educate, inspire, and promote the values of hard work, dedication, and gratitude among the students.

A Memorable Four-Day Trip to Mangoli, Nainital, and Jim Corbett

It's not the destination, but the journey that is meaningful and inspirational.

This summer, the Middle Wing students of Blue Bells Model School, Sector 4, embarked on an unforgettable four-day adventure to the picturesque hills of Nainital, the quaint village of Mangoli, and the lush forests of Jim Corbett. The trip offered students a unique opportunity to connect with nature and immerse themselves in the serene beauty of the valleys and hills. Organized to promote learning through outdoor activities and interactive experiences, the excursion aimed to foster a deep appreciation for nature and teach the importance of its preservation.

Chaperoned by their teachers, the students eagerly explored Mangoli, where they stayed for two nights. A day trip to Nainital included visits to the Naini Devi Mandir, the scenic Naini Lake, and the bustling Mall Road, where students bought souvenirs for their loved ones. The following day was packed with thrilling activities such as zip-lining, mountain climbing, and rope climbing. After an exhilarating day, the students enjoyed cooking over a makeshift bonfire and danced the night away.

On the afternoon of the second day, the group travelled to Jim Corbett, arriving by evening. The students felt refreshed as they splashed in the pool, playing ball games. The next morning featured an exciting jungle safari, where they observed various animals at the water hole, though the elusive tiger remained unseen. After a delicious lunch, the group bid farewell to the hills and began their journey home.

The trip not only created wonderful memories but also strengthened the bonds of friendship between the students and their teachers.
