GANDHI JAYANTI CELEBRATION

Mahatma Gandhi ,  most  lovingly known as Bapu by all Indians is internationally acknowledged for his doctrine of non-violence that led to India to its glorious freedom. His name transcends the boundaries of race , religion and nation states , and has emerged as the prophetic voice of the twenty first century . He stands as a proud testimony to freedom of thought and ideas , government policies coupled with hope and wishes of the global citizens for a world of peace . 

2 October every year is celebrated as Gandhi Jayanti and the story of his life has impacted humanity to its core. Blue Bellians celebrated the day on October 1, 2020 .  They were imbued with Gandhian values and thoughts and vowed to became berths citizens of India and this World. They participated in vivid activities to internalize the Gandhian beliefs  and ideologies . A virtual tour to Sabarmati Ashram and instances of freedom struggles were screened for junior students while senior students  were shown ‘The Making of Mahatma Gandhi’. A thought provoking Quiz, as a post event activity was  designed and conducted for recap and reinforcement the facts and information.

GRANDPARENTS’ DAY

ODE TO GRANDPARENTS: GRANDPARENTS’ DAY CELEBRATED AT BLUE BELLS MODEL SCHOOL SECTOR 4, GURUGRAM

Grandparents are a family’s greatest treasure and strong foundation. Through their special love and care, grandparents keep a family close at heart. Moving ahead with a goal of nurturing our children as happy, respectful and responsible citizens, the school celebrated Grandparents’ Day on October 1 , 2020 on a virtual platform. It was a solemn tribute to the unconditional love, support and guidance extended by the grandparents to nurture the young saplings to be the fruit bearing trees.

The occasion was graced by Dr. Saroj Suman Gulati, Director, Blue Bells Group of Schools. A well synchronized cultural programme was presented by the students as an expression of their gratitude towards the angels who have transcended their lives with eternal pleasure. To make the day enjoyable, refreshing and momentous for the grandparents various games were arranged in which they all enthusiastically participated. It was an enthralling moment for all, as the grandparents were taken back down the memory lane and child in them was elated.

Speaking on the occasion Director Ma’am greeted and congratulated all the grandparents for sparing their valuable time for being the part of the festivity. It was an enjoyable and learning experience for all as everyone learnt how to enjoy life from the worthy grandparents .

World Tourism Day Celebration

Live Virtual Tour to Kakadu Bird Park, Australia

In sync with the vision to foster learning and creativity  , we wish to apprise about the Free  Virtual Tour  organized. The duration of the tour was 1Hr.

The students  got an opportunity to  discover and learn about the unique bird species in Kakadu along with the picturesque display of sunset birdwatching boat ride with local guides and renowned Australian bird guide Luke Paterson. 

Virtual Tour of Colourful Birds of Uttarakhand

World Tourism Day  observed on 27 September every year since 1980. With the novel coronavirus rendering the whole world into lockdown mode, recreational as well as work-related travel came to a sudden halt. This not only carried a big jolt to the tourism industry but also harmed the mental balance of individuals who were forced to stay at their homes. Hence, this World Tourism Day, we, at Blue Bells Model School  students took an initiative to have the best of both worlds by exploring the options where people can travel while sitting at home.

India is home to over a thousand different species of birds, 750+ of them are found in Uttarakhand itself. The hill state of Uttarakhand is a birdwatcher’s paradise. Their beauty is surreal, leaving you refreshed and filled with love. The session organized by the Enlightened Sapiens provided us with a virtual platform to discover the wonder of these beautiful and colourful birds in this audio-visual and interactive session by highly respected Bird Photographer and Knowledge Contributor for the session- Vidya Kulkarni. The session brought about a better understanding of the traits, habits, and beauty of the vast variety of colourful birds found in Uttarakhand.

International Day of Peace

International Day of Peace is marked every year at Blue Bells Model School to sensitize the students towards promoting a harmonious and peaceful society in spite of differences.

In sync with this, a special assembly was organized by the students of class III B. It started with the regular features of the assembly followed by a speech on the importance of the day. The assembly highlighted the significance of the day through a tuneful song and a spectacular dance performance. Students recited a poem wherein they expressed their own views on peace and kindness. The students apprised the audience with the facts related to International Day of Peace. The assembly was concluded with an audio-visual presentation by the students reflecting the relevance of peace and non-violence in recent times.

World Ozone Day

Earth without ozone, is like a house without a roof.’

Blue Bells Model School celebrated World Ozone Day on September 16, 2020, as an educational initiative and a step to prompt, young minds to start contributing their bit in nurturing and looking after ‘MOTHER EARTH’.

To commemorate the day, a special assembly was conducted by the students of Class III A. The assembly commenced with the Sarswati Vandana followed by a beautiful thought to save the ozone layer. The students were updated with the latest news along with the significance of the day. A beautiful poem related to the theme was recited highlighting the importance of saving the ozone layer. A thought provoking documentary was presented followed by a skit to emphasize the fact that the ozone layer is important to save earth. Students presented an action song related to the theme. Students actively participated and showcased their artistic skills by making colouful posters on ‘Save Ozone Layer’.

The assembly was concluded with melodious school anthem.

Yoga is  a work-in and a point of spiritual practice, to make us teachable, to open up our hearts, and focus our awareness so that we can know what we already know and be who we already are. It  provides a holistic approach to health and well-being and brings harmony in all walks of life and thus, is known for disease prevention, health promotion and management of many life style related disorders.

Furthering the vision of holistic well-being promoted by the Blue Bells Group,  Yoga –The  Forever Normal Session 8 was hosted by Blue Bells Model School  on September 12, 2020. The session aimed at sensitizing all on  the importance of this ancient form of keeping one spiritually and intellectually sound on the virtual platform. The morning session attended by School Leadership Team, students , parents and teachers of BBGS was a significant  step to discover our own selves and attain calmness through the practice of Yoga.

TEACHER’S DAY CELEBRATED BY BLUE BELLS MODEL SCHOOL WITH THE LAUNCH OF THE SCHOOL ANTHEM

Education is a vision that is the foundation of any society, nation and of the world as it is an art of expression of synchronised thoughts, shared values and common beliefs. It is the harbinger of a positive fruitful change that makes a difference in the lives of many. The teachers are the agents of change and act as catalyst to harmonize holistic learning which brings eternal delight in the life of the learners.

The students of Class XII organized a Special Assembly on a virtual platform on September 5, 2020 to honour the commitment and dedication of their gurus in sharpening their skills, enhancing their knowledge and preparing them to be the global citizens of this ever growing world. They prepared thought provoking and emotional videos on how the day was celebrated earlier and how these angels of God have played an instrumental role in making their sojourn so enriching and passionate . The innovative games by the students left the teachers gasping for more.

The new members of the teaching fraternity followed the legacy of the school and presented a spectacular programme where there was a perfect synergy of dance , music, quiz and memories of yesteryear. The moment that made this celebration stellar was the launch of the School Anthem on Instagram and FB Page by Dr. Saroj Suman Gulati, revered Director , BBGS . Ma’am congratulated the school team for this remarkable attainment . Madam Soumya Gulati, Deputy Director (Academic Development and Innovation),BBGS appreciated the efforts of the team and wished everyone .

The day connected and bonded all and left everyone overjoyed and nostalgic .

Yoga is not a religion, it is a way of living that aims towards a healthy mind in a healthy body. It  is an invaluable gift of ancient Indian tradition. It  is not about exercise but to discover the sense of oneness with ourselves, the world and Nature. By changing our lifestyle and creating consciousness, it can help us to deal with climate change. To sensitize all on the importance of this spiritual science  , the seventh session of Yoga was hosted by Blue Bells Group of Schools on September 5, 2020 .

The session in the morning was attended by the students , parents and teachers of Blue Bells Group of Schools . It aimed to acquaint all on  variety of methods through which human beings can achieve union between the body and mind to attain self-realization.

Teachers’ Day

‘A good teacher can inspire hope, ignite the imagination and instill a love for learning.’

In India, 5^th September is celebrated as Teachers’ Day as a mark of tribute to the contribution made by teachers to the society. 5^thSeptember is the birthday of a great teacher Dr. Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan, who was a staunch believer of education, and was a well known diplomat, scholar, ‘President of India’ and above all a ‘Teacher’.

The celebration was held at Blue Bells Model School on the virtual platform organized by the students of Class IVD. The celebration started with an introductory speech. Students displayed their love and respect affectionately through a speech on the role of teachers in their life. The performance of the students on virtual stage exclusively for teachers was a memorable one. Students exhibited their talents as a treat to the teachers. Dance and  music made the day explicable. The students took great efforts and ensured that teachers enjoy every minute. All the students expressed their gratitude to their teachers through a heart touching video.
