Blue Bells Model School, observed World Energy Conservation Day with a class assembly conducted by the students of Class III A. The event aimed to instill awareness about the critical importance of energy conservation for a sustainable future.

The assembly began with the morning prayer, pledge, and the school song, setting a serene and purposeful tone. Students presented an array of performances that highlighted the significance of energy in our lives and ways to conserve it. These included an engaging dance performance and intriguing facts shared by the students, emphasizing how small steps can contribute to a brighter future.

The assembly concluded with closing remarks that reiterated the importance of energy conservation and inspired students to adopt energy-saving practices in their daily lives. Additionally, a Communication Pledge was taken to remind students of the value of healthy and effective communication. The students displayed remarkable enthusiasm and actively participated in various activities. Specifically, Class III students showcased their creativity through Slogan Writing, while Class IV designed thought-provoking placards on 'Judicious Use of Resources'. Class V were engaged in an enlightening discussion on SDG-7 Affordable and Clean Energy.

Ms. Anshu Mallika Kumar, Vice Principal, lauded the efforts of the students and their class teacher, appreciating their dedication and teamwork in making the event both informative and impactful.

Building Confidence, Ensuring Safety: Safe Touch Awareness Sessions

‘The safety of children is not a privilege; it is a right. Empowering them with knowledge and confidence is the first step towards protecting that right.’

The Health & Wellness Programme of Blue Bells Model School, under the mentorship of  Dr. Alka Saxena, Deputy Director (Health & Wellness), BBGS organized a significant initiative to raise awareness about personal safety among students and fostering a sense of security and safety. From October to December 2024, a series of Safe Touch sessions were conducted for Primary and Middle school students during their Value Education & Life Skills Education classes to promote awareness of personal safety and security. The core objective of these sessions, which were tailored separately for boys and girls, was to educate students on recognizing potential risks in their environment and to empower them to understand the importance of maintaining & respecting personal boundaries.

In addition to discussing personal and stranger safety, the sessions provided information about the school’s health and wellness programmes, including access to counsellors and the Child Helpline Number, ensuring each student is aware of the available resources and seeks help when needed. Life Skills Facilitators played a key role in guiding open discussions and encouraging students to build self-confidence and consciousness. Overall, the sessions were a vital component of the school’s ongoing efforts to safeguard and support its students.

VISIT TO KHUSHBOO WELFARE SOCIETY

Celebrating Abilities with Compassion

The students of Blue Bells Model School made a heartwarming visit to  to Khushboo Welfare Society, Gurugram on 6^th December 2024 . Students bonded with special children, sharing smiles and stories, and presented a mesmerizing dance performance. The special children reciprocated with their vibrant talent, creating moments of pure joy. The event celebrated love, resilience, and the beauty of life, leaving a lasting impression on all participants.

Maryada Purushottam Ram – Ek Yatra Annual Day cum Prize Distribution Function "Dharma is the foundation of the world. It upholds the universe and ensures harmony."

Blue Bells Model School celebrated its Annual Day and Prize Distribution Function, Maryada Purushottam Ram – Ek Yatra, on December 1, 2024. This cultural extravaganza brought to life the timeless virtues of Lord Rama.

The auspicious event commenced with a prayer to Goddess Saraswati and sacred shlokas, setting a tone of devotion. The program was graced by Chief Guest Mr. Mukesh Sharma, Member of Haryana Legislative Assembly, and Guests of Honour Capt. Indu Bokan, DEO, Gurugram, and Mr. Karan Singh from the Ministry of Home Affairs. Adding to the grandeur were the esteemed presence of Shri Mahesh Chandraji, Chairman ,  Dr. Saroj Suman Gulati, Director,  Mr. Ashish Gulati, Vice Chairman, Ms Anshuka Aneja, Deputy Director , IT , Ms Soumya Gulati, Deputy Director , Academic Development and Innovation and revered management members .

Principal , Ms. Alka Singh welcomed the dignitaries and  along with Armaan Sareen, School Ambassador, Yash Gupta, Head Boy , Mannat Kataria , Head Girl and Vrinda Khare , Health & Wellness Ambassador presented the Annual Report, showcasing the school's remarkable achievements in academics, co-curricular activities, and sports during 2022-23 and 2023-24.

Scholars excelling in board examinations, alumni achieving milestones and sports achievers were lauded for their accomplishments . Chief Guest Mr. Mukesh Sharma applauded the school for nurturing strong values and praised the theme's inspiring message of resilience, righteousness, and integrity.

The highlight of the event was the cultural showcase, Maryada Purushottam Ram – Ek Yatra, which beautifully depicted the essence of Lord Rama through mesmerizing drama, dance, and music. The seamless performances blended captivating storytelling, choreography, and vibrant costumes, leaving the audience spellbound.

The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Vice Principal Ms. Anshu Kumar Malika, leaving everyone inspired to awaken the Ram within and spread peace and harmony.

Understanding Puberty: A New Chapter in Life

‘The sky is full of stars and there is room for each one of them to shine’ The Health & Wellness Programme under ADEPT - A Program for Enhancing Life Skills, Powered by wellnesswise.in conducts session on Understanding Puberty every year with girls of grade 4 & 5 in BBMS. Life Skills Facilitators, Ms Sapna Sinha, and Ms Prerna Karkhanis conducted the session under the guidance of Dr. Alka Saxena, Deputy Director, (Health & Wellness) BBGS for grade 4 &5 girls during October to November 2024.

The girls were apprised that Puberty is a natural process that prepares them for adulthood. During this period, the body starts producing hormones that trigger physical and emotional changes which can be both challenging and thrilling. Having conversation with elders, family members and teachers will help them ease out their concerns and queries during the onset of puberty. Through an informative video the girls were given firsthand information on how they can identify the changes happening in their body and accept them with grace. Each child was provided  an open and safe space to discuss their experiences. The  girls were made aware about the importance of  having a balanced diet and maintaining personal hygiene so that it will  help them sail smooth through this period of adolescence. The session concluded with an open discussion and also talking about certain dos and don’ts which become imperative and need to be followed.

Childrens Day Celebrations: A Joyful Tribute to Childhood

Blue Bells Model School celebrated Childrens Day with vibrant enthusiasm on November 14, 2024. The Primary Wing enjoyed a bagless day filled with storytelling, art competitions, and a delightful movie screening. Teachers captivated students with a heartwarming assembly featuring an inspiring speech, a Hindi poem, and a lively song medley. Words of encouragement resonated, celebrating the boundless potential of childhood, leaving students with cherished memories of the day. 

Students Pledge to be Responsible Digital Citizens

The Cyber Council Team is orchestrating a series of initiatives aimed at cultivating cyber intelligence among our students, educators, and support staff under the astute guidance of Ms. Anshuka Aneja, Deputy Director of IT.  

The students of Classes VI to VIII participated in the Cyber Safety Pledge initiative on 6^th November 2024. The pledge emphasized the importance of safe and respectful online behaviour. Led by teachers and Cyber Council members, the initiative reinforced the school’s commitment to fostering responsible digital practices. This pledge serves as a reminder to students of the values of integrity, respect, and responsibility in the digital world.

English Language Proficiency Session

Blue Bells Model School, Gurugram, held an insightful session on English Language Proficiency on 12^th November 2024 attended by students of grades XI and XII. Esteemed speakers from Pearson , Mr. Joseph Augustine, Ms. Komal Farwaha, and Mr. Eric shared their expertise, emphasizing the global significance of English and the Pearson Test of English (PTE) as a vital proficiency test for students aspiring to study abroad. The session highlighted how English proficiency opens doors to global opportunities, fosters critical thinking, and enhances career prospects.

Blue Bells Model School proudly organized the fifth edition of La Fête de la Langue – A Festival of Languages, with this year's theme, "Reconceive, Redefine, Recreate for an Ingenious World." The festival, held on 09^th November 2024, under the aegis of the GPSC, celebrated the diversity and cultural depth that languages bring to our lives. Languages connect us to our heritage and allow us to transcend barriers, fostering unity and empathy across communities.

  The Chief Guest for the day was Dr. Saroj Suman Gulati, Director of Blue Bells Group of Schools, ma’am addressed the gathering and reflected on the importance of language, a medium of communication. Accompanying her were our esteemed jury members, Mr. Mukesh Kumar, Ms. Vandana Sannon, Ms. Seema Sayal, Ms. Asha Chauhan, Mr. Ashwani Sharma, Ms. Roseleen Bahl, Ms. Durgesh, . Mr Mayank Gulliar, Mr. Saptrishi, Dr. Vandana Dubey, Ms. Deepti, Ms. Anisha Sahu, Ms. Sapna Garg, Ms. Mariette Oportus to set the tone for the event, emphasizing language as a powerful medium for expression and cultural exchange. These eminent members shared their expertise and insights with the gathering.

The festival opened with a traditional diya-lighting ceremony honouring Late Shri B.D. Gulatiji, Founder Chairman of BBGS, followed by a multi-religion prayer. Ms. Soumya Gulati, Deputy Director of Academic Development and Innovation, Blue Bells Group of Schools, inaugurated the festival, celebrating the value that languages add to our lives.

The event attracted around 150 participants from 20 schools, competing in 11 diverse events that highlighted language skills and creative expression. Students from various grades showcased their talents in live events, including Shravan aur Chitrankan, Grammathon, Kavya Abhinaya, Rap a Beat, and Contra Opinion. The vibrant presentations and discussions sparked by the participants impressed the jury and captivated the audience.

In addition to live events, pre-submission categories featured competitions like ¡Vamos a España! (Spanish), Les fêtes françaises (French), and Creative Photography for grades VI-VIII. These entries demonstrated the students' exceptional language command, creativity, and appreciation for global cultures.

The event also saw the power of language through the inhouse event “Words That Matter” which was initiated by the students. The students wrote English and Hindi poems, stories and novellas and were awarded by Director Ma’am. The festival concluded with a Valedictory Ceremony that highlighted a dance performance inspired by the Sustainable Development Goals, symbolizing hope for a sustainable and empathetic future. Dr. Saroj Suman Gulati, Director of Blue Bells Group of Schools, encouraged students to use language as a bridge to understand and compassion.

The prestigious Overall Winner’s Trophy was awarded to Brahm Dutt Blue Bells Public School, Sector 10, Gurugram. The festival succeeded in its mission, leaving participants inspired to continue exploring the beauty and importance of language in our interconnected world.
