Second Edition of Student Led Conference

Blue Bells Model School hosted its second Student Led Conference, a testament to the school’s commitment to progressive education on 24^th August 2024 . Organized for students in grades VI to VIII by 'The Learning Space'—the Learning & Development Department—under the guidance of Ms. Soumya Gulati, Deputy Director, Academic Development and Innovation, Blue Bells Group of Schools ,the conference aimed to empower students to take ownership of their learning.

Students actively participated, sharing their achievements, learning strategies, and goals with parents through engaging presentations and interactive sessions. This event not only showcased academic progress but also highlighted the development of essential skills like communication, confidence and leadership. The conference provided valuable insights into classroom experiences, strengthening the partnership between school and families.

The successful event underscored the importance of student-led learning, fostering confident, independent learners, and reinforcing the school’s dedication to holistic education.

CYBER AWARENESS WORKSHOP

The school organized an enlightening session on cyber security which aimed at educating students about the importance of staying safe online on 30^th July 2024. The session was conducted by Mr. Priyanshu Dewan, the ACP of the Cyber Cell in Gurugram who  is a dedicated officer with a robust background in cybercrime investigation. The team highlighted the increasing number of cyber threats and the importance of protecting personal information.  

Th event marked the presence of Dr. Saroj Suman Gulati, Director Blue Bells Group of Schools who has always been the strong support. She shared her words of wisdom and encouraged the cyber council. The Cyber Team extends gratitude towards Ms. Anshuka Aneja, Deputy Director, IT, Blue Bells Group of Schools and under her guidance the IT Department has worked wonders towards empowerment of students as well as mentors.

The Cyber Council members also conducted an Awareness Drive in Ram Park, Sector 4  during the morning hours. They apprised the residents about Cyber Threats and how they can overcome these threats and be a responsible and learned citizens. After this drive they were given certificates also. They appreciated the initiative taken by the Cyber Council members.

A Monologue & Talk Show was presented to the students of Grades IX & XI  by the cyber council members to address the need of being cyber aware.  The cyber security session was a significant step towards fostering a safer online environment for our students. It provided valuable knowledge and practical tools to help protect against cyber threats.      

The session concluded with a wonderful dance performance. The dance showcased  how our soldiers defend our borders and it’s our responsibility to protect the digital frontiers as well.  With cyber threats on the rise, empowering young minds with cybersecurity knowledge is crucial. 

The school’s cyber council plans to hold similar sessions in the future to continue educating students about the ever-evolving landscape of cyber security.

Har Ghar Tiranga Padyatra

Blue Bells Model School organized a spirited "Har Ghar Tiranga" rally, celebrating the essence of patriotism and unity among students and staff. The rally saw enthusiastic participation, with everyone proudly waving the national flag and marching through the streets, promoting the importance of national pride and the significance of the Tiranga in every household. The event fostered a deep sense of community and love for the country among all participants.

MOCK TRADING SESSION

Empowering Financial Literacy

Blue Bells Model School's Stock Savvy Society, under Vittclub BBMS, successfully hosted a Mock Trading Session in collaboration with Shri Ram College of Commerce (SRCC), New Delhi on 8th August 2024 in the school premises. The event provided Grade XI Commerce students with practical insights into stock trading, investment strategies, and market analysis. Guided by experts from SRCC and the Stock Savvy Society, students engaged in hands-on trading activities, enhancing their financial literacy.

The event also featured a special award ceremony, recognizing students for their outstanding performance in mock trading sessions. The ceremony continued with the announcement of today's session winners for grades VI-XII showcasing the students' exceptional grasp of financial literacy.

This impactful session marks a significant step in the school's commitment to bridging the gap between theoretical knowledge and real-world financial skills.

Friendship Day (Assembly by Class IV D)

“Truly great friends are hard to find, difficult to leave, and impossible to forget.”

A true friend is a blessing indeed; be it to share a laugh or to wipe a tear, the presence of an understanding confidante can make the world a better place. To celebrate Friendship Day the students of class IV D conducted an assembly on August 5, 2024. The students initiated the assembly with the prayer followed by a pledge, a school song, and sharing the happenings around the world through the National and International News. To enlighten and brighten the morning a beautiful thought on “Friendship” was shared by the student to highlight the theme of the assembly. Students explained the significance of celebrating friendship citing the example of Krishna and Sudama which touched the hearts of the audience with its message that true friendship does not distinguish between riches and poverty.  The poems recited by students were applauded by all.  Students danced to a melodious song to emphasize the true meaning of friendship. The assembly concluded with inspirational words by the School Principal, Ms. Alka Singh.  

Youth Parliament : Two-Day Parliamentary Session

 The school cohort comprising Armaan Sareen,  Shashwat Semwal and Arya Ojha made a visit to the Vidhan Sabha of Rajasthan, where they engaged in a crucial discussion about coaching institutes and their associated scams. Armaan Sareen addressed the Vidhan Sabha directly, enriching the discussion. Later, Arya and Armaan spoke at Maharaja Sawai Man Singh Vidyalaya, the school hosting the two-day event, providing valuable insights and engaging with broader discussions.  This experience deepened their understanding of the region’s educational challenges and their impact on parliamentary debates. The group also explored the city’s rich heritage and vibrant culture.

The students from various schools, including Shashwat Semwal presented their speeches. Shashwat also served as the speaker in the chair. Arya and Armaan had their points of information selected and addressed by the respective minister, offering direct interaction with key issues. The participation at the Rajasthan Legislative Assembly significantly enriched their experience, making the visit to Jaipur both memorable and impactful.

Doctors Day (Assembly by Class IV A)

"Doctors are angels in disguise; they put their patients' needs above their own."

Blue Bells Model School Sec-4 Gurugram celebrated this day with a special assembly by the students of Grade IV A. This assembly was held to honour the noble profession of medicine in celebration of Doctors' Day. The event aimed to recognize the invaluable contributions of doctors in our community and beyond.

The assembly commenced with morning prayer, pledge and school song. Several student presentations added depth to the assembly. This included skits, poems, and speeches crafted by students to express appreciation for doctors and showcase the vital role they play in society, emphasizing the importance of expressing gratitude towards healthcare professionals for their tireless efforts in promoting health and well-being.

The assembly concluded with closing remarks reiterating the significance of Doctors' Day and encouraging students to respect and support healthcare professionals. Students were reminded of the importance of maintaining healthy habits and showing appreciation for the medical community. Primary Wing Leader, Ms. Kiran Rawat, appreciated the efforts made by all the students and class teacher. Students from Grade III to V made Handmade Gratitude Cards and Photo frames using doodle art for all the life-saving professionals. A small thanks to all the Doctors who have spent so much time and energy to save our health and life.

YOGA SESSION FOR STUDENTS & TEACHERS

HEALTH & WELLNESS TEAM ORGANISES YOGA SESSIONS

“Yoga is the emotional integration and spiritual elevation with a touch of mysticism, which helps to create overall harmony of body and mind.”

Considering its significance for the holistic well-being of all stakeholders, the Health & Wellness Team of the school, under the inspirational mentorship of Dr. Alka Saxena, Deputy Director (Health & Wellness), BBGS, organized Yoga Sessions for the teachers and students of the Middle Wing in specific slots on August 2 & 3, 2024.

As part of our monthly theme, "Healthy Lifestyle," the rejuvenating chair yoga session aimed to introduce the benefits of yoga, equipping students with the knowledge and techniques to incorporate these practices into their lives. The sessions were conducted by Ms. Nitu Kumari, the school Yoga Facilitator and Expert, and featured various beneficial exercises, including- Deep breathing, Neck stretches, Shoulder stretches, Side bends, Warrior pose, Cat/Cow pose, Spinal twists, Leg and foot stretches and Aum chanting. 

The Principal, Ms. Alka Singh, graced the event and actively participated throughout. Ms. Singh praised the initiative led by Dr. Alka Saxena and emphasized the importance of conducting such sessions regularly for both teachers and students.

The teachers and students expressed their gratitude towards the Health & Wellness team stating that they felt more relaxed and energized after attending the sessions.

BHARAT EK KHOJ

The school participated in the event 'Bharat Ek Khoj' on 2^nd August 2024 organized by Manav Rachna International School , Gurugram which was an extremely enriching experience into understanding that history has remarkable and fascinating stories surrounding it which make India as we see it today. Mr. Vikramjit Singh Rooprai who was the one leading this whole event as an educator, author and heritage activist took the time frame when India was about to attain freedom to break up the taboo of history being a boring subject , he showcased amusing and hysterical incidents about how the leaders of India United our nation into one during the time of partition and after.

 The knowledge and learning that he provided to the students  by rewinding a topic that had a great significance in India's present as well is something that forced to look beyond the books. Being a part of the discussion and listening to him narrating history like a gigantic tale was truly remarkable and exceptional experience to remember. There was also an exhibition with beautifully crafted monuments presented well by students explaining their back stories.
