RAJASTHANI FOLK DANCE

Rajasthani Folk Dance Competition was organized by Rajasthani Folk Academy at Kamani Auditorium, New Delhi on October 15, 2016. Our students bagged 6th position in the competition. The proud participants were – Rishabh Dharr, Harsh Jha, Khushi Jha, Priyanka Sharma, Ojaswi Prashant, Manasvi Jhangra, Saransh Singh Rawat, Deepali Gupta, Jasmine Mehta and Snigdha Srivastava.

Avishkar Quiz by CBSE

“Winning means you are willing to go longer, work harder and give more than anyone else”.
To evaluate the knowledge, understanding and developing the cognitive skills of the students, an Inter house Quiz Competition Avishkar was organised by Blue Bells Model School, the theme being Sound and Music, Questions based on Technology, Mathematics, Science, General Knowledge and Music were set up for the students.
The event witnessed enthusiastic participation and the students were fully prepared to take the quiz. The quiz was very encouraging and motivating and it aimed at developing the students knowledge. All the students put a whole hearted effort and gave their level best to win. The quiz was very informative which exposed the students to the knowledge beyond classrooms. The quiz program not only ensured that learning took place but was also a fun filled activity that exuberated excitement amongst the students.

Swimming Championships

An Achievement
Kunal Thakran of class XII of Blue Bells Model School, Sec-4  Gurgaon, is an outstanding swimmer. He participated in the prestigious CBSE North Zone-II Swimming Championship held at Montessori Cambridge School, Pathankot, Punjab from 7th October to 9th October 2016. Kunal had been an exceptional achiever in all other Swimming Championships conducted earlier by CBSE. His performance in the recent events received high accolade and he proved to be an exemplary swimmer. Kunal bagged five gold medals in five different individual events like 50m Butterfly Stroke, 50m Backstroke, 100m Backstroke, 200m Backstrokeand 200m Individual Medley. The young promising swimmer was awarded the Best Swimmer Award under 19 category. Dr. Suman Gulati, Director of Blue Bells Group of Schools was highly appreciatve of his performance. Ms. Chandan Dhawan, Principal of the school and staff members complimented and congratulated him for his commendable performance.

State Level Patriotic and Sanskrit Group Song Competition

The students of Blue Bells Model School, Sec-4  Gurgaon, participated in 42nd State Level Patriotic and Sanskrit Group Song Competition organized by Bharat Vikas Parisad on 9th October 2016. Anindita, Nirbhay, Navanshu, Abdul, Kritika, Agnibha, Ayush and Kanika bagged the first position at the State Level by giving an outstanding performance. The young promising singers are selected for the National Level Competition to be organized in Pune, Maharashtra. Dr. Suman Gulati, Director of Blue Bells Group of Schools was highly appreciatve of their performance. Ms. Chandan Dhawan, Principal of the school and staff members complimented and congratulated them for their outstanding achievement.

Inter School Cultural and Literary Fest- The Confluence

Winners are those who recognize God-given talents, work to develop them into skills and use these skills to accomplish their goals.
28 students from the Primary Wing went to G.D. Goenka World School on 6th October, 2016 to participate in the Inter School Cultural and Literary Fest- The Confluence .They participated in seven events and excelled in four. Dancing feet made everyone dance to their tune and their talent was appreciated by all. They were declared the winners and thus rewarded for their hard work. The Entertainer- Theatre presented the story of Cinderella and captured everyones heart. It secured second position. A song of peace – a Poetry and Master Mind also bagged the second prize. The hard work and dedication of our young enthusiast made them winners and us proud.

Parichay

An Inter School Fest Parichay was organized by Maurya School on 24th September, 2016. The students from the Primary Wing participated in 4 events.
Blast from the past a dance presentationwhich depicted the life of Mahatma Gandhi bagged the second prize.Vaisnava Jan to tene kahiye different scenes taken from the life of Gandhi ji in the form of a dance, gave a glimpse of the sacrifices made by our great leader during the freedom struggle and how proud we are of our country.
Nukkad Natak Shashakta Nari Surakshit Bhavishya too bagged the second position. This natak very clearly gave the message that the country and the nation which respects women will become great and empowered.

INTERSCHOOL ACHIEVEMENTS

Winning is a tradition at Blue Bells Model School,Sec-4. We take pride in sharing with you the recent achievements :

 Anirudh(XI) and Kaustaub(X)proved their mettle by winning First position in the Interschool Quiz Competition at Shalom Hills International School on August20,2016.

 Anirudh was also adjudged the best quizzer  in the competition.

The oratorical skills of Yagika (IX),Gayatri (X) and Manya (X) were duly rewarded at Ajanta Public School with First position in interschool debate competition.

SCHOOL DISTRICT SWIMMING CHAMPIONSHIP 2016

The School District Swimming Championship 2016 was held at Manav Rachna International School, Sector 46, Gurgaon from 19 – 20 August, 2016. Kunal Thakran (Class XII), Shubham Kataria (Class IX), Gaurav Janghee (Class XI) and Harsh Dahiya (Class VII) participated in the event. Kunal Thakran (Class XII), Shubham Kataria (Class IX) and Gaurav Janghee (Class XI) have been selected for School State Swimming Championship 2016 that will be held at Panipat.

HARYANA SCHOOL BLOCK ATHELETIC MEET

The students of the school participated in the HARYANA SCHOOL BLOCK ATHELETIC MEET that was held at DAV School, Khandsa from August 17-18, 2016. The event was a great success as our students were able to bag positions at various levels. Rustam (U-19) bagged first position in Discuss Throw and has been selected for District Level. Rustam (U-19) also bagged second position in Short Put Throw and the third position was bagged by Nishtha (U-14) in Short Put Throw.

DISTRICT BADMINTON TOURNAMENT

(HARYANA SCHOOL DISTRICT)
Haryana School District Badminton Tournament was held at the Heritage School, Gurgaon. The students participated in the tournament and were appreciated for their performance.  Deepesh (U-14 Boys), Chirag Nagpal (U-19 Boys), Shivani Yadav (U-17 Girls) and Gaurav Taluja (U-19 Boys) were selected for State Tournament.
