CBSE SKILL EXPO 2023

The Central Board of Education organized a significant CBSE Skill Expo and National Guidance Festival – 2023 on September 19th and 20th, 2023 which was held at the prestigious ICAR Auditorium. The summit included engaging panel discussions featuring keynote speakers and renowned educators from around the world. Additionally, it highlighted a Skill Expo featuring schools from across the country, where students had the chance to demonstrate their commitment to Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and innovative sustainability initiatives.

Himank Taneja, Class VIII B and Atishay Jain, Class IX A from Blue Bells Model School exhibited exceptional skills and creativity during their participation in the Skill Expo. They presented innovative projects that were not only well-received but also aligned with the principles of sustainability and the SDGs. The school displayed Terracotta AC and Landslide Mitigator under the theme Sustainability and Conservation of Environment and Future Tech respectively. Madam Nidhi Chhiber, CBSE Chairperson and Dr Abhay Jere, Chief Innovation Officer, Ministry of HRD Govt. of India visited our stall and appreciated and encouraged our students for their innovative approach towards sustainability.

The CBSE Skill Expo and National Guidance Festival – 2023 was a resounding success, offering a platform for students to showcase their talents, exchange ideas, and contribute to the discourse on education and sustainability.

The participation of students from Blue Bells Model School was a testament to the school's commitment to nurturing talent and promoting holistic education.

CUET WORKSHOP

CUET Aspirants Counseling Session at BBMS

The counseling session for CUET (Central University Entrance Test) aspirants, conducted by Mr. Aditya Jain, an alumnus of MDI, and Ms. Aanchal Bansal, an alumna of FMS on September 26, 2023, at Blue Bells Model School, brought numerous positive aspects to the forefront. The workshop provided valuable insights into CUET exam patterns, selection criteria, and subject-specific guidance, giving aspirants a clearer understanding of the test. Mr. Jain and Ms. Bansal's interactive approach fostered a comfortable learning environment, enabling students to ask questions freely. Their emphasis on effective study techniques and time management strategies proved invaluable, equipping students with the tools they need for successful CUET preparation. Overall, the session was a valuable resource for CUET aspirants.

Summer Internship and Training Program

Blue Bells Model School is delighted to report that our students actively participated in a Summer Internship and Training Programme, facilitated by Fundlearn Foundation, Project Inclusion, That Benzene Ring organisation, Ziotran Company and Vigyantram.

Awantika Rishiraj (XD), Angad Gupta (XD), Pragya Sharma (XIIC), Simar Malhotra (XB) participated in Project Inclusion internship, Awantika & Angad were felicitated with the Top Intern Award. Sakhi Grover (XB), Sarv Pahuja (XII-E), Kartik Sharma (XII-E), Harshita (XII-D) Ihinaa Hans, Prachi, Bhavya Madan, Garvit Bajaj, Tanisha Rawat & Anvesha Gupta of XII-C participated in Fundlearn organisation’s internship. They showcased their excellence in the fields of content writing, graphic designing & marketing.

That Benzene Ring Organisation opened up the students to the fields of journalism. Sanvi Mehta (XA), Bhoomika Singh (XB), Harsh vats, Chehak Sharma, Lavanya Mittal, Kirti Kritaarth Vats of XI C and Vidhi Sehgal (XIE) participated as interns in this organisation. Sanvi Mehta got the Best Journalist Award. Special appreciation went to Smyan Banerjee, VI C and Arnav Arora , VI C for enthusiastic participation in Vigyantram .

Assembly was conducted to felicitate the interns wherein Ms. Fariya the founder of Project Inclusion, Ms. Shrin & Mr. Dhruv Lakhra the co-founders of That Benzene Ring Organisation were invited. They spoke on the importance of internships and motivated the students to achieve high with all their might and gave away the certificates. The internships were mentored by Ms. Sanjana Arora along with Raj Sardana and Riya Chawla of Grade XI.  

This opportunity allowed them to develop crucial skills, broaden their horizons, and foster a deeper understanding of various professional domains.

Assembly International Day Of Peace III C

Each year the International Day of Peace is observed around the world on 21st September. Class IIIC have conducted a special assembly where students and teachers gathered to celebrate this auspicious day.

The theme of the Assembly was Peace and love. Assembly began with a lovely message on Peace, followed by School prayer by students. Then the student conducted the Pledge to instil a sense of patriotism among all followed by School song. The students participated actively and showed their own views on Peace and Compassion with Thought of the day and role play. Children came in the attire of some proponents of peace who spread the messages of peace all over the world like Mahatma Gandhi, Dalai Lama, Mother Teresa, Nelson Mandela, and Malala Yusafzi. Then the choir group presented their song which helped us understand that Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that. The war ends everything in a deep hollow, rather peace can help us lift our lives from mortality. After that Dance group mesmerized everyone with their spellbound performance.

The assembly concluded with a speech of In charge Pallavi Ma’am followed by our National Anthem.

Assembly On Ganesh Chaturthi III D

Ganesh Chaturthi, also known as Vinayaka Chaturthi, is one of the most widely celebrated Hindu festivals in India, dedicated to Lord Ganesha, the elephant-headed God of wisdom and prosperity.

Blue Bells Model School  celebrated this auspicious occasion with a special assembly by the students of Grade III-D.

The objectives of the assembly were to impart knowledge about the festival, its rituals, and environmental concerns associated with the immersion of idols in water bodies.

The assembly commenced with Morning prayer, pledge, school song followed by a mesmerizing Ganesha Vandana (devotional bhajan) performed by the school's choir group, setting the spiritual tone for the event.A student presented informative speech about the history, significance, and cultural importance of Ganesh Chaturthi, emphasizing the values of wisdom, knowledge, and prosperity that Lord Ganesha represents.

Given the growing environmental concerns related to the immersion of idols in water bodies, a group of students conducted a presentation on eco-friendly Ganesha idols made from clay and other biodegradable materials.

At the end Principal Ma’am  addressed the students and emphasized on the importance of cultural awareness and festivals promoting unity among students from diverse backgrounds.

We look forward to continue with the tradition of celebrating Ganesh Chaturthi in a meaningful and eco-friendly manner in the years to come. May Lord Ganesha bless us all with wisdom, prosperity, and happiness.

Dengue Awareness Campaign

AWARENESS CAMPAIGN ON DENGUE PREVENTION BY

HEALTH & WELLNESS PROGRAMME, BBMS  

At Blue Bells Model School, we hold the belief that children hold the key to a brighter future ahead. Our mission is centred around equipping our young scholars with accurate knowledge and awareness concerning various aspects of health and wellness. Under the mentorship and inspirational guidance of Dr. Alka Saxena, Deputy Director (Health & Wellness), BBGS, the Health & Wellness Team is orchestrating informative sessions on Dengue Prevention, as part of the Peer Educator Programme.

In furtherance of the vision of the holistic well-being of the scholars, exclusive assemblies were meticulously arranged, segment-wise, catering to students from Classes III to XII. These sessions took place from August 21 and August 28, 2023, aimed at sensitizing the students about effective strategies to combat the prevalent Dengue disease and ensuring their safety during the Monsoon season.

Senior Wing Assembly (IX-XII) was moderated by Ihina Hans, Health & Wellness Ambassador (XII C), Armaan Sareen, Peer Educator (XI F), Adhya Singh (X-D),  Arshiya Sharma (XI A) and Lochan (X A), Peer Educators. Middle Wing Assembly was presented by Peer Educators- Yatharth Jogai (VII A), Diyaan Agarwal (VII B), Sambodhi (VII C), Bhavya Vij (VII D), Aditya Sharma (VIII-A), and Lakshita Hooda (VIII C). Primary Wing Assembly was presented by Junior Health & Wellness Ambassador from Class V, Lavanya Chopra, Peer Educators – Achintya, Class VI A, Kavita Avadhanula, Class VI B,  and Vihaan, Class VI D, under the guidance of the Health & Wellness Team.  

During these assemblies, vital knowledge covering methods to prevent the disease and breeding of mosquito were conveyed. This crucial information was effectively shared by an interactive session with the PowerPoint presentation. A quiz was administered as the sessions drew to a close. The students eagerly took part and demonstrated a strong command of the information that was presented.

In addition, creative posters on Dengue Awareness and Tips for Monsoon season, have been put across all strategic locations of the school. The sessions were interactive and supported in promoting a safer and healthier environment for society.
