Assembly On Janamashtmi_Grade IVB

To mark the birth of Lord Krishna, the students of Grade- IV B conducted a special assembly on the auspicious occasion of Krishna Janmashtami. The assembly began with the School Prayer, Song, Thought of the Day, News and Significance of Krishna Janmashtami, highlighting on how and why we celebrate Janmashtami.It was followed by an enthralling bhajan on Krishna and Radha - Jara Tu to bata Kanha, Tera Rang kala kyu. Students dressed up as Radha and Krishna and presented a splendid and colourful dance drama depicting the birth of Lord Krishna with a message of victory of good over evil.

 The assembly was graced by Madam Principal, Alka Singh who appreciated the efforts of the students and highlighted the importance of this aesthetic occasion. She stressed on the relevance of Lord Krishna’s teaching with regard to the present-day situation. The assembly concluded with gratitude to Lord Krishna by offering flowers, symbols of purity and devotion. Madam Principal, Primary wing Incharge, Madam Pallavi and the teaching teachers came forward and participated in this blissful moment. The celebration was indeed truly enlightening and entertaining.

TEACHERS' DAY CELEBRATION

"To awaken joy in creative expression and knowledge is the highest art of a teacher."

 This famous quote resonates as we commemorate the birth anniversary of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, the second President of India, and honour the invaluable contribution he made to Indian education on the 5th of September every year.

The students of Blue Bells Model School in Gurugram celebrated Teacher's Day with great enthusiasm under the theme of 'Deeksha.' The event began on a pious note with a Bhajan “Gurudev Kripa Kar Ke” by Vrinda Khare.   The students had meticulously planned medley of songs and dance numbers. Snapshots of teachers in a video which was curated by Naman Dua evoked the cherished past times. The student teachers took the classes religiously.  Additionally, there were entertaining games like Musical Chairs, and friendly match of Pitthu, pitting teachers against students, evoking nostalgic memories of their own school days. The School Ambassador, Krisha Gupta, Head Boy, Jatin Chutani, Head Girl, Yashi Kaushik and Sports Captain, Reet along with all the council members put heart and soul to make the event successful. The anchoring team including Eeshita Dutt, House Captain, Indira Gandhi House, Roopal Raghav, Kanishka Dabral, English Literary Secretaries rocked the stage. Decoration by Tanishka Sharma, Fine Arts Secretary was adorable.

Teachers were deeply moved by the overwhelming zeal and enthusiasm displayed by their students, making this a memorable and cherished event.

Raksha Bandhan Making Activity

The festival of Raksha Badhan holds great significance in the Indian   culture celebrating the

 bond between a brother and a sister. This festival is celebrated to cherish the beautiful memories and strengthen the bond between the two.

On  August 28,2023, Grade IV-D organized an assembly to commemorate the joyous ocassion. The assembly aimed to educate students about the significance of Raksha Bandhan as a pious symbol of love, protection and care.

 Grade IV-D students along with Cultural committee made arrangements to create a vibrant and engaging environment among the students. They dressed up in traditional attire which added to the festive fervour of the occasion .The assembly began with the  school choir's rendition of a song invoking the prayers for the protection of their siblings.

They shared information to throw light on the historical and cultural significance of Raksha Bandhan. A group of students performed Dance Drama depicting legendary tales associated with Raksha Bandhan. To foster the bond between students a celebration of Rakhi exchange with their classmates was organized. This gesture encouraged students to understand and appreciate the importance of their friendship within the school community .

The assembly was addressed by Primary Wing Incharge, Ms Pallavi Sinha, who shared her insights on the significance of Rakshabandhan. This assembly proved to be a memorable an impactful event as well as foster stronger bond among the students community to support and protect each other in the time of need.

INTERSCHOOL BASKET BALL TOURNAMENT 2023

GPSC U-19 Boys and U-17Girls BasketBall Competition

             “In the game of basketball, every shot is a chance, and every dribble is a dance. Dribble with your heart, shoot with your soul."

Blue Bells Model School hosted an exhilarating U-19 Boys and U-17 Girls Inter-School Basketball Tournament under the aegis of GPSC from August 25^th -August 29^th 2023. In this tournament, overall 22 teams participated. Thereafter best 13 teams for boys and girls were selected as per the rules. The mega event was a tremendous success, drawing together talented young players from various schools in the district. The tournament aimed to promote sportsmanship, teamwork, and healthy competition among the participating schools.

The tournament commenced with a grand opening ceremony filled with enthusiasm and energy. The NCC platoons and the participating teams and marched onto the court, showcasing their school spirit and determination. All the teams took Oath to maintain the sanctity of the game. The audience were mesmerized by the melodious song and the foot-tapping dance presentation by our talented students. The event was inaugurated and declared open by Shri Jagat Narayan Nehra, former basketball coach for Indian women, Junior boys, and men and Ombir Grewal. They emphasized the importance of sports in a student's life and encouraged fair play and camaraderie throughout the tournament.

Over three days, the basketball court has witnessed intense matches that displayed the players' skills and determination. As the tournament progressed, the competition grew even more fierce. The semi-final matches were nothing short of electrifying, showcasing remarkable teamwork, strategic gameplay, and incredible individual performances. The teams that emerged victorious from the semi-finals demonstrated their exceptional prowess and secured their place in the finals.

The final match was the culmination of the tournament, where the two best teams in both categories showed their prowess. The Closing ceremony was graced by the Chief Guest,  Dr. Saroj Suman Gulati, Director Blue Bells Group of Schools and the Guests of Honour, Mr. Narender Grewal, Secretary, District Basketball Association of Gurugram and Mr. Azad Singh, Head Basket ball coach, DPS Vasant Kunj.   

 Director Maám praised the efforts of all the participants and emphasized the importance of such events in nurturing young talent and promoting a healthy lifestyle. The guests of honour also congratulated all the teams and appreciated the efforts of organizing and participating teams for showing and respecting sports.

After an intense battle, DPS 45 emerged as the champions of the tournament in U-19 Boys and U-17 Girls. Their outstanding teamwork, determination, and skillful gameplay set them apart. The runners-up, Blue Bells Model School, U-19 Boys and Shiv Nadar, U-17 girls were also lauded for their exceptional performance and tenacity. The tournament concluded with a memorable closing ceremony. Trophies, medals, and certificates were awarded to the winners and runners-up, amidst cheers and applause from the audience.

In moments of profound significance, when the flag serves as a symbol of honour, sacrifice, and unity, the ceremonial folding and presentation of the flag stand as a poignant tribute.

The Inter-School Basketball Tournament under the aegis of GPSC at Blue Bells Model School was a resounding success, fostering sportsmanship, teamwork, and a sense of healthy competition among the young athletes. The event provided a platform for students to showcase their basketball skills and create lasting memories. As the cheers of the audience faded away, the spirit of the tournament continued to inspire the participants to strive for excellence in both sports and life.

Workshop: Design Thinking for Interactive and Creative Learning

The school organised a very interactive workshop cum interactive session by United World Institute of Design (UID), Karnavati University on 24^th August 2023 for students of Classes XI and XII to help students explore opportunities in the field of design.   The resource person conducted a number of hands-on activities, all aimed at fostering creativity and enhancing design skills. Ms Alka Singh, Principal expressed that the school firmly believes that exposure and creative awareness to the world of design can inspire and shape young minds, preparing them for a future in the creative industry.

STAGE-O-RAMA

“Theatre is a form of knowledge; it should and can also be a means of transforming society.”

The realm of theatre serves as a 'cognitive playground' for students to engage in trials of various decisions and undergo the outcomes of their own and others' actions within a secure setting. This aids in cultivating empathy through the encounters of different individuals and the exploration of varied viewpoints. To foster such understanding, the school arranged an Inter-House Theatre Festival named Stage-O-Rama on August 18th and 19th 2023 on the theme “Pre and Post Independence Shining Stars of India”. The two-day Theatre Festival was conceptualized by Ms. Soumya Gulati, the Deputy Director of Academic Development and Innovation at the Blue Bells Group of Schools who declared the event open.

 The occasion began with the ceremonial lighting of lamps, the recitation of traditional verses, and the rendition of the school anthem "Blue Bells ki Shaan." This marked a dedication to the pursuit of liberty and honesty, striving for excellence, and contributing positively to society. Ms. Alka Singh, the school's Principal, warmly greeted the distinguished guests, emphasizing that the realm of theatre offers a platform for self-directed contemplation, collaborative efforts, the constructive expression of feelings, and the fostering of societal consciousness.

The stunning theatrical presentation by alumnus (Pratham), teachers and students was highly applauded curtain raiser for the mega event. Compelling and gripping presentations were showcased, characterized by a remarkable display of enthusiasm and commitment to mastering the craft, evident in the impressive stage design, backdrop projections, and the casts' exceptional skill. Various houses performed plays in both Hindi and English, showcasing their inherent expertise in theatrical abilities.

The students’ zeal in playing various roles in Hindi plays ‘Kartar Singh’, ‘Senapati Bapat, ‘Kumaran’ and ‘Birsa Munda’ and English plays depicting ‘Narayan Murthy’, ‘Abdul Kalam’, ‘Birju Maharaj’ and ‘Lal Bahadur Shastri’ were noteworthy and spectacular.

Students adeptly assumed significant roles, encompassing tasks such as script curation and refinement, play direction, and the creation of videos, thereby contributing to aspects like lighting and sound effects.

The eminent jury members, Mr. Arun Singh, Theatre Arts Teacher, Mr Mahesh Vashisth, Director, Founder Member of First theatre Group in Gurugram and presently managing at Rang Parivartan Studio Theatre, Gurugram, Dr Suwarn Rawat, Expertise in Seminars and Workshops, Production & Backstage operations, Mr Mohit Kandhari, Theatre Practitioner and Director and Ms Sonia Mehandiratta, Theatre Expert graced the occasion.

Tagore House bagged the Best English Play and Best Hindi Play Award. The coveted Best Actor and Actress in English Play were Raj Sardana and Srishti Sanjay while in Hindi Play were Gursimar Singh and Ritika Yadav. Best performance by an actor and actress in a supporting role in English Play went to Aryan Singh and Lochan Ganotra while in Hindi Play the award went to Parth Rana and Varnika. Best Directors for English and Hindi Play were Eshitta Dutt and Vrinda Khare respectively.

Ms. Saroj Suman Gulati, the Director of Blue Bells Group of Schools, spoke to the students, highlighting that theatre offers a platform for observing diverse strategies in action, enabling critical analysis of their efficacy and their potential application in personal lives. The exhilarating two-day event was undeniably a joyous and exhilarating adventure for students, the management, the jury, and the faculty members.

On the memorable day of 15th August 1947, our motherland dawned to the greatest victory of freedom paving the path for a brighter and more promising future for our nation. To mark this glorious triumph, India blissfully celebrates Independence Day with great zeal on 15th August every year. Reminiscing the indomitable spirit of our freedom fighters and partaking in the splendid victory of freedom, Primary Wing Blue Bells Model School conducted Visual Arts and Performing Arts activities. The students highlighted the role of various freedom fighters through role play.  They dressed up as famous freedom fighters that sacrificed their lives for the nation, to bring us freedom, peace, and joy. They also created Tri colour Wall hangings, Boats and Badges and decorated their classrooms.    Click here to view more images

 “Partition Horrors Remembrance Day”        

The “Partition Horrors Remembrance Day” exhibition held by the students of Blue Bells Model School was a solemn and poignant event, emphasizing the significance of this historic day. The exhibition was thoughtfully organized with a focus on raising awareness and fostering remembrance.

The exhibition was displayed from morning till 3 pm, ensuring that a wide range of individuals had the opportunity to visit and participate. Adequate security measures were put in place to protect the exhibition and its visitors. Efforts were made to attract as many people as possible to come and witness the exhibition, facilitating widespread awareness.

It Is important to note that the primary purpose of the exhibition was to remember the tragedy and agony of the partition. Sensitivity to the historical context was paramount, and every effort was made to ensure that the exhibition did not hurt any section of society. The organizers maintained a respectful and empathetic approach throughout the event, ensuring that the remembrance of this sombre history was conducted with dignity and consideration.

One of the highlights was a heart-warming skit performed by a group of students, depicting the value of friendship in various stages of life. Following the skit, there was a beautiful dance and song delivered by one of the students, emphasizing the importance of friendship in fostering empathy, kindness, and support among peers.
