Dance Workshop at BBMS

“Dance is a conversation between body and soul.”

‘Dance’ is one word that can set anybody’s feet pulsating and swaying to its rhythm. Everybody likes to dance in their own way. It is also a form of expression, social interaction which may be presented in a spiritual or performance setting. Since dancing has been an integral part of human culture, there is certainly a day to mark its presence too.

To mark the occasion of International Dance Day, the school organised an interactive workshop for the Dance Club students of Grades VI-VIII of Blue Bells Model School, Sector -04 and Brahm Dutt Blue Bells Public School, Sector 10, Gurugram.  The resource person, Ms Annu Rawal a disciple of Pandit Birju Maharaji and winner of Rajasthan State Level Dance, Sangeet Natak Academy and NCC Odissa as a solo competitor and Mr Mayank Gangani, a prodigy in Kathak, Semi Classical and Folk Dance taught various classical dance moves to the enthusiastic children. The talented and internationally acclaimed dancers helped the students to explore their inner joy and develop agility, coordination and poise through various dance forms.

Cyber Congress Assembly

Cyber Security is not easy but it comes with three basic principles- Protect, Detect and Respond

The Internet has become one of the integral parts of our daily life. It has transformed the way we communicate, make friends, share updates, play games, and shop. They are impacting most aspects of our day-to-day life. Cyberspace connects us virtually with crores of online users across the globe. With the increasing use of cyberspace, cybercrime is also increasing rapidly.

 To stay safe in the online world, and to create awareness and sensitize internet users on safeguarding against cyber frauds and cybercrimes, the Cyber Congress of Blue Bells Model School led by Dr Rakshit Tandon, Cyber Security Evangelist conducted the morning assembly on the theme of cyber security on 27^th April 2023. Cyber awareness was done through a skit, panel discussion, rap and quiz. The geeks also made PPT on Cyber Ethics and some unethical practices which are prevalent in society and should be avoided such as Plagiarism, Cyber Bullying, Hacking, Spamming etc.

TRANSITION SESSION FOR CLASS VI

“Transitions in life can offer opportunities for discovery.” – Robbie Shell

Adolescence is a phase where an individual assumes a sense of self-identity and is marked by a myriad of emotions. It is a transitional phase between childhood and adulthood and is characterized by a number of physical, emotional, cognitive and social.

Children’s experience of educational transitions has an impact on their learning and development, well-being, and their engagement with the school. To address the concerns of the young adolescents and provide appropriate information, the Health & Wellness Programme of the school organized a ‘Transition Session’ for the students of Class V graduated to Class VI on April 26, 2023. The session is an indigenous initiative under the motivational leadership of Dr. Alka Saxena, Deputy Director (Health & Wellness), Blue Bells Group of Schools.

To understand the feelings, perception and expectations of students, an activity was organized in all the sections of Class VI by the Health & Wellness Resource Center Team. The students were divided into groups and they were asked to frame a collage based on their thoughts, feelings, perception and expectations on joining the Middle Wing.

The activity based experiential learning session was especially curated by the team on April 26, 2023. In an interactive session, Dr. Alka addressed feelings and concerns of  the students related to moving to a new wing and shared ways in which they can adapt effectively to the change which is apropos to growth. Art of conversation was shared which would  help students to make new friends. Dr. Saxena shared with the students how they can divide difficult task in small parts and learn them effectively. She also talked about how taking small steps and managing time effectively will help them organize their studies  and further help them to  prepare well for studies and cope with these changes. Ms. Renu Khare, and Ms. Prerna Karkhanis, Health & Wellness team members, apprised the students about the Health & Wellness Programme followed in the Middle Wing. The Peer Educators from Class VII , Dhanvi Bajoria, Mishka Garg, Charvi and Eeshika Gupta also shared their last session’s experience. The students briefed their juniors about their apprehensions and how they managed everything effectively with the support of Life Skills and scaled through the transition phase easily. 

Ms. Pallavi Sinha, Primary Wing In-charge congratulated the students for their performance in class V and encouraged them to carry forward this legacy to the next class.  Ms. Anshu Malika Kumar, the Middle Wing In-charge warmly welcomed the students and helped them to relax and feel comfortable. Ms. Alka Singh, the Principal of the school bestowed her good wishes and blessings on the students. The school team assured the students that they would not only get the support of their new teachers but also their previous teachers as well. It is one of the constructive steps taken by the Health & Wellness team to help the students understand and adapt to the changes with ease.

World Earth Day Assembly by VI B- Celebration of bonding with nature

The students of Class VI B orchestrated an educational assembly with the noble aim of raising environmental awareness and fostering action for the preservation of our planet.

 The assembly commenced on a reverent note with a stirring school prayer, followed by Thought of the Day, News, Words for better pronunciation, Significance of the week, and an illuminating speech. The audience was spellbound by a captivating and soul-stirring self-composed poem, a melodious rendition of a song, and a mesmerizing dance performance, all centered around the same theme. The students used multimedia tools such as PowerPoint presentations and videos to bolster their message.

 In the spirit of the occasion, Middle Wing Incharge, Madam Anshu Malika Kumar, applauded the students' outstanding efforts and informed them about the various threats to the environment and measures to handle and manage them prudently. Additionally, Ms. Manisha Gupta, the class teacher, sensitized the students about the blessings of nature and our responsibilities towards our Mother Earth.

 This assembly served as a heartening reminder of our deep connection with nature and the importance of protecting our planet. It was a triumph of collaboration, creativity, and commitment to a noble cause, and it left an indelible impression on all those present.

CLASS VIC ASSEMBLY ON PORTABLE MAGIC AND CYBER SAFETY

On April 25, 2023, Class VIC conducted an assembly on Portable Magic and Cyber Safety in collaboration with Cyber Congress. The students worked together as a team to share their thoughts, ideas, and expressions on the topics.

The assembly began with a prayer, which aimed to provide peace to the students' souls. It was followed by the thought of the day and news updates. A speech was delivered to inform the students about the significance of World Book Day. To encourage fun learning, a quiz based on books was conducted.

The students' achievements in inter-school and state-level competitions were also acknowledged, and the coordinator congratulated and encouraged them to continue reading books and writing stories and poems

Towards the end of the assembly, a Cyber Safety Congress was conducted by senior students. The students were introduced to the cyber congress team, and another quiz was conducted on cyber safety. An informative skit on the ill effects of personal WhatsApp groups was presented, which made the students aware of how their privacy was being breached unknowingly.

The assembly ended with the National Anthem. Overall, it was an informative and engaging event, and the students learned about the importance of Portable Magic and cyber safety. They were encouraged to continue reading and writing, and to be vigilant and aware of their online privacy and safety.

World Book Day

World Book Day and Copyright Day is a celebration to promote the enjoyment of books and reading. Each year, on 23 April, celebrations take place all over the world to recognize the scope of books - a link between the past and the future, a bridge between generations and across cultures. It is rightly said that ‘Reading should not be presented to children as a chore, a duty. It should be offered as a gift.’. We at Blue Bells Model School believe in inculcating reading habit as an enjoyable activity and a learning experience for the students. To mark the importance of reading in the formative years of a student, Library week was celebrated. The students of Primary Wing did activities such as Book Butterfly, My Book Report and Story Elements reiterating the importance and impact of books in a student’s life.

Assembly Report “SAVE EARTH”

On April 20, 2023, the students of Class V D presented an assembly on theme "Save Earth." The purpose of this assembly was to create awareness among students about the importance of protecting our planet and how small steps can make a significant impact.

The assembly started with the school prayer, followed by the pledge and school song. Thereafter the ‘Thought of the Day about the Earth was presented by a student, which set the tone for the rest of the event. Then, the Principal addressed the students and emphasized the importance of taking care of our planet. 

After the Principal's speech, a few students came forward and shared their thoughts on the topic. They shared about various ways in which we can save the Earth, such as reducing waste, conserving water, planting trees, reducing energy consumption, and spreading awareness through song presentation and poetry. The assembly concluded with the Wing Incharge – Ms. Pallavi Sinha encouraging students to take responsibility and make a positive impact on the environment. Overall, the assembly was informative and engaging. It provided students with valuable information about the importance of saving the Earth and ways in which they can contribute to the cause. The assembly inspired students to take action and make a difference.

SAVE THE ENVIRONMENT AND THE GREEN WORLD

The occasion of Earth Day acts as a mindful reminder of the vulnerability of our planet and the significance of its preservation. The school observed Green Day on April 21, 2023, to continue spreading environmental awareness and to remember our Founder Chairman late Shri B.D. Gulati ji. The school enthusiastically observed Green Day by participating in a variety of events. Our stewards wished to preserve green space for a healthy world through Jingle writing, Presentations and Poster Making.

Bhajan Sandhya, a sincere homage to our respected Shri B.D. Gulati Sir, was organized to make the day unforgettable. Many songs of dedication were performed by the students and instructors. A sylvan environment infused with heavenly energy was generated by religious chants and hymns. The Blue Bells family honoured the great visionary and his dedication via these renditions, which will serve as an example to all people and future generations. Through the sky above, His enduring light illuminates us, guiding us down life's most difficult journeys.

Academic Award Ceremony ‘Felicitation’ Classes VI-IX & XI Session 2022-23

Remarkable accomplishment is always heralded by the preparedness to attain excellence. Blue Bellians have always striven persistently to prove their determination and prowess in every sphere of learning. To congratulate and honour the students who notched exceptional results in Class VI- IX and XI Session 2022-23, the Award Ceremony ‘Felicitation’ was hosted on 20th April, 2023. The occasion was graced by honourable Director, Dr. Saroj Suman Gulati, BBGS. The event commenced with the diya lighting followed by a soulful rendition of Saraswati Vandana by the school choir. A beautiful group dance lent an ambience of cheer and exuberance.

GRADE III_TALENT SHOW

 We, at Blue Bells Model School, believe in honing our students' talent by providing them an equal chance to take part in various events. The students of Grade III were given a unique platform to showcase their talent through Talent Hunt Show organized by Primary Wing. There were participants in all categories. They enthusiastically exhibited their talent by singing melodious songs, reciting heart-touching poems, narrating thought-provoking stories, and spell-bound dance performances. They confidently played musical instruments. Students were extremely confident, dedicated, and gave marvelous performances. Students energetically participated in this event and displayed their ability magnificently.
