‘Unwrapping Learning Packages Chapter 2022-23’

 ‘A community that learns together excels together.’

 Blue Bells Model School is committed to initiate collaborative learning and a paradigm shift from teaching to holistic development of the learners. The in-house ‘Learning and Development Team’ confirms to support learners by creating a curriculum that involves them in empirical learning and focused reflection in order to enhance their knowledge, develop skills and impart valuable lessons of life.

With this noble objective, Blue Bells Model School hosted the ‘Edu Carnival: Unwrapping Learning Packages Chapter 2022-23’-an event by Learning and Development Team. The event showcased the learning progression of the students in the Primary wing in sync with the Transdisciplinary pedagogy of the school incorporating Experiential STREAM and Design Thinking approach. The event ensured positive and active engagement of the parents in this learning process. The theme of the mega event was ‘Diversity in Living World and Natural Phenomenon and Resources’.

The event was conceptualized by Ms. Soumya Gulati, Deputy Director Academic Development and Innovation), BBGS.  Ms. Gargi Kakkar, BJP District President graced the occasion as Chief Guest.  In sync with the theme ‘Diversity in Living World and Natural Phenomenon and Resources’, the enthusiastic talented Blue Bellians showcased an enthralling musical presentation, dance performances and class-wise subject-based presentations. The students played a pivotal role by conducting theme-based games, involved parents, and made numerous sessions interactive.

In order to provide a platform wherein students could acquire knowledge, values, attitudes, commitment and skills needed to protect and improve the environment, a ‘Park Project’ was introduced in the  Edu Carnival. Students learnt about the causes, effects and solution required to deal with the loss of biodiversity, pollution, waste management, natural disasters. Sustainability and resilience, which is the need of the hour was discussed through ‘Smart School Building Project’. The parents were thoroughly engrossed in the process and appreciated the Learning Progression and Thematic Transdisciplinary Approach that wrapped the whole celebration. Dr. Saroj Suman Gulati, Director, Blue Bells Group of Schools graced the occasion with her benign presence and congratulated the students for their sincerity and laudable efforts.

Session on Entrepreneurship

The world today has transited into a "Technology Era'. Technology has enabled progress in all fields and all societies. Technological revolution has changed the face of lives of people bringing healthcare, information and connectivity to even the most remote areas that were here to isolated. Entrepreneurship has an impact on social as well as cultural and economic progress of the society. Working towards Youth Entrepreneurship programs can help solve as well as avoid a lot of problems for a better future and progressive societies. Blue Bells Model School is one of the only schools in Gurugram which is providing this amazing Youth Entrepreneurship Programme to the learners. Upholding this vision, Mr. Pavan Allena who is the Founder and CEO of Metamorphosis Education addressed the students of Classes 6 – 8 and apprised them about the nuances of entrepreneurship. He made the students realise that the need of the hour is to create many stars and provide opportunities for every youth to dream big and try their hands at entrepreneurship. The students were in an awe listening to Mr. Pavan Allena and were filled with curiosity as they inquisitively asked a number of questions to understand the concept in a better way.

HAWAN CEREMONY

Dear God, lead me to hope, faith, and trust. Lead me towards eternal truth. Allow eternal peace and tranquillity to fill my heart, my mind, my life, and my world.  

A Hawan ceremony was organised for the students of grades X and XII who are appearing for the upcoming CBSE board examinations 2023. The Hawan ceremony was conducted with a divine fervour and spirituality to invoke blessings of the Almighty for students' brilliant performance. It is believed that the hawans cleanse the mind and neutralize pre-exam nervousness, which in turn raises performance levels.

Dr Saroj Suman Gulati, Director, Blue Bells Group of Schools, Ms Alka Singh, Principal, Blue Bells Model School, and teachers attended the hawan with the students. Director Ma’am wished all the children good luck not only for their forthcoming exams but also for a fulfilling life ahead.

INTERFAITH PRAYER

Interfaith Prayer at Rajghat, New Delhi

No matter in what language one chooses to speak, in what setting one chooses to worship, or with whom one chooses to surround themselves during prayer, all our prayers, somehow, reach the same place.

The mellifluous singers of Blue Bells Model School participated in an interfaith prayer held at Rajghat, New Delhi on 30^th January 2023. The nation remembered Mahatma Gandhi on his 75th death anniversary on Monday with President Droupadi Murmu and Prime Minister Narendra Modi offering floral tributes to the 'Father of the Nation' at his memorial Raj Ghat. Vice president Jagdeep Dhankhar, Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, Housing and Urban Affairs Minister Hardeep Singh Puri also paid homage to the Mahatma. A two-minute silence was observed in honour of Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi, affectionately known as Bapu, who was assassinated on this day in 1948. His death anniversary is observed as Martyrs' Day. A gun salute was given at the memorial where school students and people from different walks of life gathered to pay respects to Mahatma Gandhi.

With such a vibrant diverse faith community made up of individuals from every faith background, such prayer service brings the students and administration together in a unique way.

PM National Cadet Corps Rally 2023

“NCC is just not just an organization, but it is a life,

which transforms you to a totally different person.”

 NCC instills comradeship, discipline, spirit of adventure and ideals of selfless service amongst young citizens. This year, NCC is celebrating the 75th year of its inception. Thirty NCC Cadets of Blue Bells Model School visited the Carriappa Parade Ground, Delhi on 28 January 2023 to attend the Prime Minister’s Rally with school ANO Mr. Jitendra Lakhera and 2 escort teachers, Mrs. Sunita Yadav and Mrs. Neetu along with Cadet Harshit Sharma, who had been selected for Republic Day camp 2023.  The cadets witnessed the parade of the 17 directorates of NCC and the international cadets. In the true Indian spirit of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam, 196 officers and cadets from 19 foreign countries have been invited to participate in the celebrations.

The NCC is a youth wing of India’s armed forces and is open to students across all schools and colleges on a voluntary basis. The organisation comprises of the Army, Air Force and Navy wing, and imparts basic military training in small arms and drills to the cadets. The NCC was formed under the National Cadet Corps act of 1948 and is currently headed by Lt General Gurbirpal Singh.

 The Prime Minister told the cadets that both as NCC cadets and as youth of the nation they represent the ‘Amrit Generation’ of the country which will take the nation to new heights in the coming 25 years and will create a ‘Viksit’ and ‘Aatmnirbhar Bharat’. During the event, Prime Minister released a special Day Cover and a commemorative specially minted coin of ?75/- denomination, commemorating 75 successful years of NCC.

The rally was held as a hybrid day and night event and included a cultural programme on the theme 'Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat'. Our high-spirited cadets enjoyed and it was a dream come true for them. This experience was both exciting and inspiring for all the cadets.

REPUBLIC DAY CELEBRATION

74th REPUBLIC DAY CELEBRATION

 ‘On the occasion of Republic Day, let’s all promise our motherland that we will do our utmost to enrich and preserve our inheritance, our ethos, and our treasure.’

With freedom in our mind and faith in our heart, we remember the golden heritage of our country and feel proud to be an Indian. Blue Bells Model School, Gurugram, commemorated the 74th Republic Day by organizing a cultural fiesta on January 25, 2023 to mark the iconic moment of Indian history when India's constitution came into being declaring the country as an Independent Republic Nation. The Chief Guest of the ceremony was Dr. Saroj Suman Gulati, Director, BBGS. On this auspicious occasion, the day’s proceedings commenced with the hoisting of the National Flag by Dr. Saroj Suman Gulati. March Past by NCC cadets lent a splendid sight and the Director Madam took the salute. It was followed by the spectacular presentation of the band.

SARASWATI PUJA CELEBRATION

May Goddess Saraswati, the Goddess of education, bless us with   knowledge and wisdom as embark on our journey of learning!

Basant Panchami – the festival that marks the beginning of spring with the worship of Saraswati, the Hindu goddess of knowledge – was celebrated with great fervour at the Blue Bells Model School, Gurugram on 25^th January 2023. Goddess Saraswati, the Goddess of intelligence, knowledge, education, music and art is worshipped on the fifth day of the Magha. The Saraswati Temple in the school was decorated with flowers on this pious occasion and Saraswati Puja was celebrated to usher in the Goddess and seek Her blessings to enlighten us with knowledge and wisdom. The students invoked the deity through Saraswati Vandana and worshipped the Goddess to dispel the darkness of ignorance from our lives and illuminate it with the brightness of rationality and understanding. Drenched in the festive spirit were the little children who along with the mentors offered floral tribute and worshipped the goddess and sought her blessings for knowledge and wisdom.

INTERNATIONAL CONNECT

"Every experience is an opportunity to learn and grow.”

We, at Blue Bells, believe that exploration and growth go hand in hand. Keeping in sync with this ethos, the students of Blue Bells Model School got an opportunity to interact with the students of Vin School imperia, Vin School Ocean Park on the topic “Fibonacci Sequence - Golden Ratio and their Applications” in a Microsoft Teams Session. Students exhibited their presentations on the topic  showing the connection with nature and its applications in real world.

 The session was interactive and engrossing with a perfect blend of Quiz, Presentation, and Information. Educators of Vin School shared their views on International exchange program and shared that such exposure and International connect propels students towards acceptance and understanding of an array of different cultural and community perspectives.  It was truly an integration of another family as well as the development of life-long friendships fostering an appreciation of internationally connected families.

Farewell Ceremony ‘Jab We Left- Hasta-La-Vista’

‘Students become the subject of the teacher’s actions, the target of the teacher’s thoughts, and compliments of the teacher’s endeavours.’ 

“I cannot say goodbye to those whom I have grown to love, for the memories we have made, will last a lifetime, and will never know a goodbye.” It’s a tough moment when a student has drawn the curtain on one’s school life and forge ahead in pursuit of higher education and it is equally a difficult time for the teachers to bid adieu to the students whom they taught, groomed and nurtured so fondly over the years. To make this treasured moment more cherishing, the students of class XI, filled with exuberance and zeal gathered to bid farewell to the outgoing class XII students on January 14, 2023.

The fiesta ‘Jab We Left-Hasta-La-Vista’ was devoted to the years spent together with friends and teachers and to reminisce the joyous moments. The valedictory event began with the lightning of ceremonial lamp swathed with the chanting of Shloka. The ambience was set perfectly pious by the students of class XI with Shiv Stuti. The celebration caught its spur with a rendition of scintillating dance performances, astounding fashion show and pulsating band presentation that bedecked the whole setting. A Talent Hunt contest was organised for the out-going students to keep them engaged and cheerful. The skill manifestation of the students with a specific prop was highly commendable. Titles were conferred to class XII students on the basis of their exhibited prowess. Prassiddhi Sachdeva was crowned as Miss Blue Bells and Priyanshu Singh as Mr. Blue Bells. Dr. Saroj Suman Gulati, Director-Blue Bells Group of Schools addressed the students by rightly quoting the adage, ‘Every great dream begins with a dreamer and you have within you the strength, the patience, and the passion  to reach for the stars to change the world’. She wished the students a bright future ahead and appreciated the efforts of the organizing team to make the event a grand success.
