WELCOME ASSEMBLY CLASS XI

Standing firmly in an era of global transformation, Blue Bells Model School, Sector -04 Gurugram is a dynamic and inspirational center that would help students to equip them with skills and knowledge to compete against the 21^st-century world. To provide a comprehensive environment that stimulates the multi-dimensional development of each child, a special welcome assembly was organized for Class XI students on 01 June 2022 in the JD Hall. The morning assembly began on a pious note with the prayer followed by a motivation song by the school choir. Mr Santosh Thapliyal, Discipline In-Charge briefed children about various rules and regulations which are to be religiously followed in the school. He also briefed them that the school is known for discipline and inclusive ethos where we set high standards and expectations for our students to achieve and behave their very best. The Principal, Ms Alka Singh expressed that every girl and boy can experience success and go on to graduate as a responsible, resilient and confident young adult, well prepared to take charge of their future and become a productive member of the community.

YOGA: ROOF ABOVE, EARTH BELOW, PEACE WITHIN…

The word Yoga is not only a part of life. It is the breath of life. Blue Bells Model School, Sector -04 Gurugram celebrated the spirit of happiness through Family Yoga Day on 28 May 2022 in the school premises under the guidance of the Physical Education Department of the school. With the pandemic having given a lot of challenges to mankind, Yoga and meditation remain the best medicine to treat our body and mind. The parents and children assembled in the earmarked area so as to ensure that the session is conducted in the most conducive manner even for the novice participant. The systematic practice of different ‘ASANAS” of standing, sitting and laying positions and smoothly changing in succession was done under the instructions of Yoga teacher. During the course of “Yogabhyas”, the Yoga teacher also narrated the usefulness of different “Asanas” as a precautionary measure, in curing many diseases and the usefulness of Yoga in the overall wellbeing of a human being. The parents and children took an oath that they will continue to practice Yoga at home for keeping their bodies and mind in healthy, stress-free and cheerful conditions.

‘Staying fit’ is the mantra practiced by every Blue Bellian. The parents who are our co-partners in the mission to provide holistic education to the futuristic citizens of the nation were all geared up for the day. A school-home partnership should address the particular needs of a community and provide the appropriate support that students need to succeed. The joy of doing Yoga with the family was a good feeling altogether and the aura of positivity and smile was seen on their faces.

Parliamentary Mock Session of BBMUN 2022

Parliamentary Mock Session of BBMUN 2022 on Sedition laws and the Freedom of the press in India.

Blue Bells Model School conducted an in-house Mock Parliamentary Session on May 26, 2022 for the students of classes IX to provide them with a platform to opine and deliberate upon the most pressing issues that the country is facing. 165 students from Class IX were simulated under different portfolios adjudicated by our Alumni who have started their journey in the transforming world. The event created a perfect platform for Gen Z to ponder upon national affairs and reach a consensus on a bigger frame. The deliberations amongst the delegates paved the way for developing these young learners’ debating and diplomacy skills. The session had a considerable number of first-timers whose performance was commendable. The school indeed received a resounding positive reaction which was highly applauded by the management and teaching fraternity.

ORIENTATION SESSION

Success is the sum of small efforts, repeated day in and day out.

It has rightly been said that the guidance of the parents, as well as the school, can perfectly support a child in the most crucial life-changing years of school. It is then imperative that these two pillars meet and understand what’s best for their wards. In pursuit of the same, an Orientation Session was organized by Blue Bells Model School, Sector -04, Gurugram on 27 May 2022 for the students of Classes XI and XII to assist them in providing a broader perspective of Central Universities-Common Entrance Test and optional subjects. The students were explained and shared valuable insight pertaining to CUCET examination eligibility which included an elaborate discussion on syllabus, date, and notification. There was a clear updation on how to apply and enroll for CUCET. The school faculty provided a deep insight into their optional subjects so that the students prepare for a successful career with a clear vision of what lies ahead.

Ms Alka Singh, Principal enumerated the role of schools in deciding the right career path for the children that is in tune with their skills and job experiences. The queries of the students were taken up and were clarified in a very engaging Question and Answer session. The session was indeed an enriching and informative learning experience for all the young aspirants of the school.

Astronomy Club Orientation Session

An Astronomy Club Orientation Session was conducted in JD hall for Primary classes on May 11, 2022 Wednesday. The session started with the interactive Q/A session wherein the resource person asked questions to check the knowledge of the students about space. After this, the students were briefed about the importance of Astronomy in our daily life. A short video on importance of Astronomy was shown to the students. Then the resource person shared the schedule of the activities to be taken up during the Astronomy Club sessions. The attraction of the orientation session was the live demonstration of Comet Making and Rocket Launching activity. The session was concluded by taking the queries of the students.

It was an interesting and informative session. Students had a lovely time gathering knowledge on Astronomy.

BLUE BELLS MODEL SCHOOL CELEBRATES BEGINNINGS

Watch your thoughts; they become words. Watch your words; they become actions. Watch your actions; they become habits. Watch your habits; they become character. Watch your character; it becomes your destiny. Keeping the same philosophy in mind, the assembly of Blue Bells Model School Sector -4 Gurugram on 28 April 2022 marked the end of two harsh years of the pandemic of the distance that separated us and of communicating only in the cold blue light of our laptop screens. The assembly started with heartfelt prayers, thought for the day followed by informative news.

The school has a robust Student Council System to identify, train and empower students to become future leaders. The students from IX-XII are appointed to various posts after they undergo intensive selection procedures. The new council was introduced to the schoolmates and they briefed about taking responsibility for voicing the opinions and ideas of the general student body, as well as informing fellow students about current endeavours. From helping maintain the discipline to planning activities for school events like Stage-0-Rama all Council members take on specific roles to help out.

The Cyber Congress of the school through an interactive Talk Show provided students with the knowledge and skills they need to stay safe in online environments. The students were also briefed about various measures for avoiding potential harms. Revered Ms Anjali Nagpal, Senior Coordinator addressed the gathering and asked children to celebrate endings, for they precede new beginnings.

The months that felt seemingly eternal have faded away as the faces of those we missed so much came clearer into view. We celebrated beginnings, celebrated the new school session and promised to start afresh.

BLUE BELLS MODEL SCHOOL CELEBRATES LABOUR DAY

A word of thanks for every deed, will show how much for all you heed.

All labour that uplifts humanity has dignity and importance and all who comfort our life with strenuous and painstaking efforts should be honoured and appreciated. On this note, Labour Day was celebrated at Blue Bells Model School, Sector -04 Gurugram with full aplomb on 30th April 2022 in the school premises. Students of Classes 1-5 made beautiful cards for our supporting staff and appreciated the ceaseless efforts of the workforce of the nation and the school in particular. The students of Classes 6 and 7 celebrated the day by creating Gratitude Badges for their Didis and Bhaiyas who relentlessly help children with their ever-smiling demeanour. The students of Classes 8 and 9 organised a Talk Show on ‘How to ensure Labour Welfare’ whereas Class 10 celebrated the day with a Panel Discussion on ‘Challenges faced by Labour Welfare Laws in Modern Times’.

A special thanksgiving assembly under the flagship of Dr Saroj Suman Gulati, Director, Blue Bells Group of Schools was organized for our dear ground staff. The ceremonious and serene Diya Lighting paved the way to a warm green welcome to the dignitaries, Director Maám, Maám Principal, Mr Batra, General Manager and Ms Anu Sehgal, Head Mistress, Preparatory School, Sec-04 of Blue Bells Group of Schools. Melodious renditions by Ms Anshu Jha,Mr Kashish and the school choir were a tribute to the hard work of the true nation-builders

Mr Niteshwar Mishra,Shyam Pal Bhaiya and Mr Rajkishore expressed their heartfelt gratitude towards the school management. Mona didi’s solo dance, Suman didi and Manorama didi’s group dance and Rajpal Bhaiya’s dance on Krishna Bhajan charmed everyone while Anita Didi’s bhajan was the cynosure. Prize Distribution for various sports events also took place and the enthusiasm of the participants was heartwarming.

Dr Saroj Suman Gulati, Director, Blue Bells Group of Schools appreciated and acknowledged the hard work of school workers and thanked them for their

selfless services. She also focused on the priceless contribution of the workers for the smooth functioning of the institution

Workers were overwhelmed watching the function and expressed their gratitude towards the school management, teachers and students for their endeavours.

Investiture Ceremony

Books are the mirrors of the soul

“The more that you read, the more things you will know. The more that you learn, the more places you’ll go.” – Dr. Seuss

A good book opens our eyes, expands and develops our wisdom, and helps to enlighten the soul. The students of Class VII D showcased the purpose of reading books through their assembly. Through a story telling session they demonstrated that inside books, there are treasure troves of unknown information. When we read, we are acquainted with the information contained within -- whether it is religious, fictional, scientific, or academic; books can make us truly knowledgeable, and this knowledge always enriches a person with true guidance. The book trailer on How to Train Your Dragon was much applauded by one and all. It is a series of twelve children's books, written by British author Cressida Cowell. The books are set in a fictional Viking world and focus on the experiences of protagonist Hiccup as he overcomes great obstacles on his journey of Becoming a Hero, the Hard Way. To apprise the students about the MUN Club the MUN Ambassador – Devishi Aggarwal conducted an interactive session motivating the students and helping them understand the importance of the club. The Cyber Security Congress also conducted a talk show on cyber bullying to impart the information much needed in today’s scenario.
