WORLD CREATIVITY AND INNOVATION DAY

Realising the significance of creativity and innovation for overall development of students, World Creativity and Innovation Day is celebrated on 21 April. In sync with this, various engaging activities were organised for the students of Primary Wing, Blue Bells Model School. The activities enabled the students to use their creativity in different ways. Students actively participated in the activities and took a pledge to achieve sustainable goals through creative thinking.   Click here to view pictures.

Transition Session

“Each transition in life is an opportunity to look at who you are, where you are headed and what you want to become.”

Graduating from Primary to Middle School is a major change every student faces. At the same time, they are adjusting to the social changes that happen around them. To address the concerns of the young adolescents and provide appropriate information, the Health & Wellness Programme of the school organized a ‘Transition Session’ for the students on April 18, 2022. The session is an indigenous initiative under the inspirational mentorship of Dr. Alka Saxena, Deputy Director (Health & Wellness), Blue Bells Group of Schools.

The aim of the session was to prepare the students for the transition from Class V to VI. Dr. Alka addressed many feelings of the students which they had related to moving to a new wing and shared ways in which they can adapt effectively to the change which is pertinent to growth. The students shared concerns about making friends with new classmates as their classes would get shuffled and also how would they prepare for a three-hour written examination. Ma’am provided proper hand holding and suggested ways to cope with these changes. These appealed to the students as their concerns were addressed and answered.

Ms. Shuchi Mathur and Ms. Suchi Jain, Health & Wellness team members,  apprised the students about the Health & Wellness Programme followed in the Middle Wing. Ms.  Kiran Rawat gave a brief about the changes and addition of subjects, activities, and the Evaluation and Assessment Scheme as per CBSE directives. The Peer Educators from Class VII , Atharv Goyal , Gauri Gokul, and Jivitesh Sejwal,  also shared their last session’s experience. The students briefed their juniors about their apprehensions and how they managed everything effectively with the support of Life Skills and scaled through the transition phase easily. 

Ms. Pallavi Sinha, Primary Wing In-charge congratulated the students for their performance in class V and encouraged them to carry forward this legacy to the next class.  Ms. Anshu Kumar Malika, the Middle Wing In-charge warmly welcomed the students and introduced them to the subject teachers of Class VI which helped them to relax and feel comfortable. Ms. Alka Singh, the Principal of the school showered her good wishes and blessings on the students. The school team assured the students that they would not only get the support of their new teachers but also their previous teachers as well. It is one of the constructive steps taken by the Health & Wellness team to help the students understand and adapt the changes with ease.

ASSEMBLY ON SOIL CONSERVATION

“Land, is not merely soil; it is a fountain of energy flowing through a circuit of soils, plants, and animals.”

Sustainable Development Goal 15 focuses on ‘Life on Earth’. Deforestation and desertification – caused by human activities and climate change – pose major challenges to sustainable development and have affected the lives and livelihoods of millions of people.Improving soil quality is an integral step towards achieving the SDGs on zero hunger (SDG 2), climate action (SDG 13), and life on land (SDG 15), but requires a multidisciplinary approach that incorporates consideration of other development objectives and priorities. To educate the students about the effect human activities are causing on the earth the students of Class VIII A conducted their assembly on Soil Conservation under the guidance of their mentors. The assembly highlighted the growing problem of soil erosion due to expansion in population. So, it is essential to take a step to reduce the erosion of soil, to maintain fertility in order to save food safety. Through the talk show, students explained that the soil is made of minerals, organic matter and air in different proportions. It is important for life as it provides the medium for the growth of a plant, habitat for several insects and other organisms. It also acts as a filtration system for surface water and in the maintenance of atmospheric gases. The discussion helped the audience to think about their actions against mother earth. The street play, the self-composed poem and the lyrical song all conveyed the message of being concerned towards Mother Earth and being cautious about our actions. The Middle Wing In charge, Ms. Anshu Malika Kumar and Ms. Vidhi Airun, the Class In charge, also addressed the assembly and motivated the students to work in unison and conserve the soil from depleting.

SAFARNAMA

 Today you close the door to the past, open the door to the future and start a new chapter in your life Blue Bells Model School, Sector -4 Gurugram hosted Safarnama, a farewell ceremony for the Class XII batch of 2021-22 on 14 April 2022. An enthusiastic and tender-hearted Class XIth took great pride in organizing this ceremony to bid adieu to their seniors, who are all now set to face the challenging world ahead. Lamp lighting for invoking Goddess Saraswati, Shlok chanting and Ganesh Stuti made the ambiance serene which gave a perfect start to the beautiful day. The event commenced with an address by Reverend Dr Saroj Suman Gulati, Director, Blue Bells Group of Schools wherein she inspired the students to conquer all obstacles and soar high in the limitless sky. To mark the seamless journey that lay before their beloved seniors, the enchanted cohort presented rap, beatboxing and band performance. To further enliven and enhance the celebratory spirit of the event, teachers collectively sang ‘Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna’. The vivacious dancers set the floor on fire with their energetic performances of foot-tapping numbers. The fun-filled extravaganza featured contemporary form interspersed with the western style which kept the audience enthralled. Ramp walk by gorgeous divas and handsome hunks was a major attraction. Talent Hunt and Questionnaire rounds left the shortlisted amateurs to put their best foot forward and won the hearts of everyone. Titles were conferred to Class XII students on the basis of their exhibited prowess. The coronation ceremony witnessed enthusiasm engendered in a wide cross-section of joyous performers. Khushi Jha  was crowned with Miss Blue Bells and Devansh Tripathi  was bestowed with Mr Blue Bells. A number of prestigious titles were also awarded to deserving students.

The Principal, Ms Alka Singh, blessed and extended her good wishes to them for a bright, successful and prosperous future. The day’s events culminated with a sumptuous high tea and as the day drew to a close, the hosts and the guests mingled as one, creating memories to last a lifetime.

THE PEN PAL PROJECT

“Distance means so little when FRIENDS mean so much.”

At Blue Bells Model School, we strive to strengthen our bonds globally. Taking a step further we proceeded with the ongoing international connect and participated in the Pen Pal Project that was held on 9th April 2022 in collaboration with Vin School Ocean Park, Vietnam. Students of class VII from Blue Bells Model School shared their presentations from our end. The session began with the introduction of the two schools which highlighted the ideology of each institution and the major achievements in the field of education. Rupsha Ghosh of class VII B presented from India. This was followed by the address by the principal of each school. Thereafter there were two interesting presentations by the students of Vin School, one on a self-destroying face mask and the other on an automatic hand washing machine. This was followed by a presentation by Atharv Goyal of class VII C illustrating the steps taken by our school to ensure that the students are in a safe environment and all the precautionary measures being taken to prevent the spread of COVID 19. Later on, Keya Gupta of class VII C showcased her presentation on the different products used for preventing the spread of COVID 19. In the end teachers from both the schools summarized the proceedings and a group photograph was clicked.

TALENT HUNT

‘A great TALENT finds its happiness in execution...'

We, at Blue Bells Model School, believe in honing our students' talent by providing them an equal chance to take part in various events. Talent Hunt is one such event that offers an excellent opportunity to the students to promote self-learning among themselves and develop their confidence, analytical as well as logical skills. The students of Grade III were given a unique platform to showcase their talent through Talent Hunt Show organized by Primary Wing. There were participants in all categories. They enthusiastically exhibited their talent by singing melodious songs, reciting heart-touching poems, narrating thought-provoking stories, and spell-bound dance performances. They confidently played musical instruments.

Students were extremely confident, dedicated, and gave marvelous performances. Students energetically participated in this event and displayed their ability magnificently.

FAREWELL MATCHES FOR OUTGOING BATCH 2021-22

“SOMETIMES YOU NEVER KNOW THE VALUE OF A MOMENT UNTIL IT BECOMES A MEMORY”

No distance or lapse of time can weaken the bonds of friendship and to celebrate this beautiful relationship, ‘Farewell Matches’ of Football and Basketball  were organised by Blue Bells model School for the outgoing batch of XII 2021-22 and the current batch of XII 2022-23. The matches were fused with sense of dignity and sportsmanship as the students went on accepting the challenges in the playground. XII batch 2021-22 was declared the winner for Football as well as Basketball match. There was a noteworthy display of enthusiasm and zeal from both the sides of players. They were  cheered with an equal amount of liveliness from the spectators and loud applause and thunderclaps engulfed the perimeter of the court.  The principal of the school, Ms.Alka Singh, the sports faculty  and the teaching fraternity applauded the passion, comradeship  and zest of the students.

E-CELL LAUNCH

CREATIVITY IN LIFE IS TO UNFOLD, EMBRACE AND EXPLORE NEW IDEAS.’

To think differently and to think ahead of times is what Blue Bells Model School imparts to its young learners. The school creates a congenial environment where students can explore freely, strive passionately to churn their brain and let the storms brew inside them to be harnessed into a positive, progressive and productive start.

We at Blue Bells absolutely believe in the power of innovative entrepreneurship at every level because very often we feel that an idea has sparked but we are not able to formulate that idea, give it that shape we desired for, therefore, the earnest effort is to nurture those creative insights. The vision of the E-cell launch is to develop a hub for the students to explore the best entrepreneurial and professional talent on the path of becoming entrepreneurs.

A webinar was organised to launch E-cell for the students of the school on April 3, 2022. The programme commenced with a rendition of a beautiful song. Dr. Saroj Suman Gulati, Director BBGS graced the occasion with her benign presence and launched the E-Cell. Director ma’am addressed the students and congratulated the teaching fraternity for taking the initiative and creating a platform where new concepts and thoughts will flourish. A new club Unicorn has been introduced for the students of classes VIII-XII. A Panel discussion was organised on the topic, ‘Are start-ups the future of the employment industry?’ with a vision to normalise start-ups as a feasible career option and concocting the path to address problems in the most innovative manner. The eminent panellists were Mr. Akhil Singh, the co-founder of Questt.com., Mr. Mayank Jain, the founder of 'Ezyschooling', Mr. Parth Bhalotia,the Co-founder of Buzzo.ai., Mr. Vedansh Singh - Co-founder for several products such as Ami, AwareMonk and Invol,  Mr.Vivek Arya- A serial entrepreneur and an Alumnus of IIT Bombay and the Founder of  MakeSense Technologies and  buzzo.ai startup, and Mr.Prateek Yadav, the head of “Zyngo. The guest of honour for the session was Dr. Anupama Malik, a visionary edupreneur, strategic leader and focused academician. The moderators from the school were, Shagun Jain, the School Ambassador, Sauransh Bhardwaj, the Science Wizard and Arnav Malik, a student of XII C, a budding entrepreneur.Ms. Alka Singh, Principal of the school addressed the gathering by conveying the message that patience, passion and persistence are the prerequisite ingredients to be an entrepreneur and is confident that the school students will do wonders in their area of interest.

CITATION CEREMONY

 “LIFE IS A LONG JOURNEY BETWEEN HUMAN BEING AND BEING HUMAN.

LET’S TAKE AT LEAST ONE STEP EACH DAY TO COVER THE DISTANCE.”

When a student graduates from school, he takes a bag full of memories which become his strength in the coming years. Donning the cap and the graduation gown is a moment of pride for the teachers, parents and certainly the students.

With the year nearing its end, the school observed yet again, the same annual spectacle where joy and emotions are at their unique confluence- the crossroad from where the students can see a vast world beckoning to them to explore it and the effaceable years of comradeship gone by. Blue Bells Model School commemorated the Citation Ceremony for the outgoing batch of class XII, 2021-22 with great fervour on April 6&7, 2022 to acknowledge the unique gifts of the outgoing students of class XII and motivate them to hone their skills and prosper with time

The occasion commenced with the Diya lighting which created a perfect ambience to invoke divine blessings. J.D. Hall was reverberated with school song.

Each one of them then lit a candle as an insignia of their cognitive growth during their school years and sought the blessings of their parents and mentors. They were presented with a personalised which glorified their personality and journey at school, from being ordinary to an extraordinary leader of tomorrow.

Next in the sequence of events was the much waited reading of the citations of the students by their respective class teachers. Pride was clearly visible in the aura of the students as they stepped on the stage to collect their citation from the Director ma’am. The encapsulation of academic accomplishments and their achievements in co-curricular activities was a treasure bestowed upon the students to be cherished forever.

The Director of the school addressed the gathering and showered her blessings on the students to do their best in the future and become exemplary.
