BLUE BELLS MODEL SCHOOL CELEBRATES BEGINNINGS

Watch your thoughts; they become words. Watch your words; they become actions. Watch your actions; they become habits. Watch your habits; they become character. Watch your character; it becomes your destiny. Keeping the same philosophy in mind, the assembly of Blue Bells Model School Sector -4 Gurugram on 28 April 2022 marked the end of two harsh years of the pandemic of the distance that separated us and of communicating only in the cold blue light of our laptop screens. The assembly started with heartfelt prayers, thought for the day followed by informative news.

The school has a robust Student Council System to identify, train and empower students to become future leaders. The students from IX-XII are appointed to various posts after they undergo intensive selection procedures. The new council was introduced to the schoolmates and they briefed about taking responsibility for voicing the opinions and ideas of the general student body, as well as informing fellow students about current endeavours. From helping maintain the discipline to planning activities for school events like Stage-0-Rama all Council members take on specific roles to help out.

The Cyber Congress of the school through an interactive Talk Show provided students with the knowledge and skills they need to stay safe in online environments. The students were also briefed about various measures for avoiding potential harms. Revered Ms Anjali Nagpal, Senior Coordinator addressed the gathering and asked children to celebrate endings, for they precede new beginnings.

The months that felt seemingly eternal have faded away as the faces of those we missed so much came clearer into view. We celebrated beginnings, celebrated the new school session and promised to start afresh.

BLUE BELLS MODEL SCHOOL CELEBRATES LABOUR DAY

A word of thanks for every deed, will show how much for all you heed.

All labour that uplifts humanity has dignity and importance and all who comfort our life with strenuous and painstaking efforts should be honoured and appreciated. On this note, Labour Day was celebrated at Blue Bells Model School, Sector -04 Gurugram with full aplomb on 30th April 2022 in the school premises. Students of Classes 1-5 made beautiful cards for our supporting staff and appreciated the ceaseless efforts of the workforce of the nation and the school in particular. The students of Classes 6 and 7 celebrated the day by creating Gratitude Badges for their Didis and Bhaiyas who relentlessly help children with their ever-smiling demeanour. The students of Classes 8 and 9 organised a Talk Show on ‘How to ensure Labour Welfare’ whereas Class 10 celebrated the day with a Panel Discussion on ‘Challenges faced by Labour Welfare Laws in Modern Times’.

A special thanksgiving assembly under the flagship of Dr Saroj Suman Gulati, Director, Blue Bells Group of Schools was organized for our dear ground staff. The ceremonious and serene Diya Lighting paved the way to a warm green welcome to the dignitaries, Director Maám, Maám Principal, Mr Batra, General Manager and Ms Anu Sehgal, Head Mistress, Preparatory School, Sec-04 of Blue Bells Group of Schools. Melodious renditions by Ms Anshu Jha,Mr Kashish and the school choir were a tribute to the hard work of the true nation-builders

Mr Niteshwar Mishra,Shyam Pal Bhaiya and Mr Rajkishore expressed their heartfelt gratitude towards the school management. Mona didi’s solo dance, Suman didi and Manorama didi’s group dance and Rajpal Bhaiya’s dance on Krishna Bhajan charmed everyone while Anita Didi’s bhajan was the cynosure. Prize Distribution for various sports events also took place and the enthusiasm of the participants was heartwarming.

Dr Saroj Suman Gulati, Director, Blue Bells Group of Schools appreciated and acknowledged the hard work of school workers and thanked them for their

selfless services. She also focused on the priceless contribution of the workers for the smooth functioning of the institution

Workers were overwhelmed watching the function and expressed their gratitude towards the school management, teachers and students for their endeavours.

Books are the mirrors of the soul

“The more that you read, the more things you will know. The more that you learn, the more places you’ll go.” – Dr. Seuss

A good book opens our eyes, expands and develops our wisdom, and helps to enlighten the soul. The students of Class VII D showcased the purpose of reading books through their assembly. Through a story telling session they demonstrated that inside books, there are treasure troves of unknown information. When we read, we are acquainted with the information contained within -- whether it is religious, fictional, scientific, or academic; books can make us truly knowledgeable, and this knowledge always enriches a person with true guidance. The book trailer on How to Train Your Dragon was much applauded by one and all. It is a series of twelve children's books, written by British author Cressida Cowell. The books are set in a fictional Viking world and focus on the experiences of protagonist Hiccup as he overcomes great obstacles on his journey of Becoming a Hero, the Hard Way. To apprise the students about the MUN Club the MUN Ambassador – Devishi Aggarwal conducted an interactive session motivating the students and helping them understand the importance of the club. The Cyber Security Congress also conducted a talk show on cyber bullying to impart the information much needed in today’s scenario.

Earth Day

“Look deep into nature, and then you will understand everything better.”

The students of the school enthusiastically participated in various activities to commemorate our benevolent Mother Earth. On the occasion of the Earth Day, an array of creative activities was organized with a view to sensitize the students about the conservation of natural resources and to motivate them to do their bit towards making their planet even more beautiful. With an aim to spread awareness amongst the other students, students of Classes IX and X created pledge cards emphasizing the need to save Mother Earth. The students realized that the choices they make today will create the world of tomorrow–so they created these pledge cards to do their bit to leave it greener than they found it! They designed pledge cards to make a Pledge to the Earth to make this world a greener, more sustainable place to live. Group discussions on why to save our environment were conducted in Classes VI to VIII which culminated with a fun-filled activity creating hand imprints using soil to show their love for soil.

These activities rekindled emotive concerns and instigated the youngsters to save, love and respect Mother Nature with all their heart and soul.

Academic Award Ceremony ‘Felicitation’ Classes VI-IX & XI Session 2021-22

Achievement is a tradition at Blue Bells Model and the students of the school strive consistently to prove their mettle and acumen in every sphere. To congratulate and honour the students who notched exceptional results in Class VI- IX and XI for the Session 2021-22, The Award Ceremony ‘Felicitation’ was hosted on April 23, 2022. The occasion was presided over by honourable Director , Dr. Saroj Suman Gulati, Blue Bells Group of Schools. The event commenced by respectfully invoking the blessings of Goddess Saraswati with a soulful rendition of a song. The sublime energy of rhythm and melody enthralled the audience.This was followed by an impassioned, and rhythmic presentation of a group dance.

In her inspiring message to the audience, Director Madam, congratulated the academic achievers for their unswerving efforts in achieving their goals and opined that the students should always remain self-motivated.

The school anthem instilled joy and fervour amongst all present. Students were felicitated for their academic achievements and punctuality.

Speaking on the occasion, Ms. Alka Singh, the Principal blessed them for their future plans and applauded the efforts of the teaching fraternity. It was indeed a proud moment not only for the recipients of the awards but also for their parents who had been invited to partake in the glory of their wards’ success. The Award Ceremony was held amidst much happiness, cheer and applause.

When prayers go up Blessings come down!

For invoking the Almighty's blessings for the forthcoming CBSE Board Examination 2021-22, the school organized Havan on 23rd April 2022 at 9:00 AM in the school premises. The programme commenced with Havan in which the school offered their Auhutis amidst chanting of Vedic hymns. The occasion was graced by revered Ms Alka Singh, Principal, Wing In-charges, Coordinators and Teachers. The combination of the powerful energy of the sacred fire and the sacred mantras created immensely auspicious and purifying vibrations in the environment. The majestic melody of mantras in the glory of the Almighty involved everyone with devotional fervour and charged the atmosphere with divine adoration.

The program concluded with the distribution of Prasad to the students followed by the showering of flower petals in way of blessings for the forthcoming exams.

PROTECT GREEN, PROTECT THE ENVIRONMENT

Celebrating Earth Day serves as a conscious reminder of how fragile our planet is and how important it is to protect it. To continue promoting environmental awareness and to commemorate the birth anniversary of Honourable founder Chairman, Late Shri B.D. Gulati, the school celebrated Green Day on 21st April 2022. Through a myriad of activities, Green Day was celebrated with a lot of enthusiasm in the school. A Sapling Plantation Drive by our engaged stewards was carried out in the school premises as well as the neighbourhood. Go Green Walkathon by our eager beavers was an attempt to create awareness among the local inhabitants on the conservation of greenery for a healthy planet while students of class VIII presented a special assembly with an objective to reinforce the current environmental issue of conserving soil. Nukkad Natak and Talk Show allured the audience and were successful to send a visual reminder of the globe’s determination to tackle our planet’s biggest environmental challenge yet.

In continuation of the celebration, the students of BBMS collaborated with the students of  Duc B High School, Vietnam and shared the knowledge of flora and fauna of both the countries. They also discussed the impact of the increase in population and their demands on natural resources like soil and its fertility. The students of both the schools took a pledge to save mother Earth by using 5R’s like Reduce, Reuse, Replace, Recycle and Repurpose so that they can help in building a sustainable environment.

To make the day ineffaceable, Bhajan Sandhya was organized to pay a heartfelt tribute to our revered Shri B.D. Gulati Sir. The students and teachers rendered many devotional songs. The sacred chants and hymns created a sylvan atmosphere exuding divine vibes. Through these renditions, Blue Bells family saluted the great visionary and remembered his selfless services and commitment which will remain an inspiration for all and for the generations to come. His eternal light shines on us through the heavens above guiding us through the more challenging paths of life.
