TALK SHOW ON SAFE & GREEN DIWALI

A Talk Show on Safe Diwali was conducted by the Peer Educators under the able guidance of Dr. Alka Saxena, Deputy Director, Health and Wellness, Blue Bells Group of Schools as a part ofHealth and Wellness programme. The objective of the talk show was to sensitize the audience towards celebrating an Eco-friendly Diwali. Dr. Alka Saxena, Deputy Director Health and Wellness, addressed the august gathering and urged the audience to act responsibly and be sensitive towards the essence of their environment and safety of animals. The webinar commenced with the welcome of the gathering followed by the rendition of Ram Bhajan that brought in the feeling of festivity in the air. The talk show comprised of peer educators who took up the role of people from various walks of social life like – paediatrician, moderator, social activist and environmentalist. It laid emphasis on different ways to celebrate an Eco-Friendly Diwali with the presentation of video on the negative effects of burning crackers causing air. The peer educators apprised the audience about the hazardous effects of fireworks on humans, animals, and other environmental factors, wasteful expenditure, adulteration and safety tips to follow during Diwali. A Kahoot Quiz was also organised to recollect the mythological facts of Ramayana along with a few questions based on the talk show.

The session helped the audience to think deeper and understand the true essence of celebrating Diwali and urged themto review the situation in a different light. The students learnt TO SAY NO TO CRACKERSand to celebrate a Safe & Green Diwali.

It was an earnest attempt by the Health and Wellness Team to create sensitivity on the issue along with creating an understanding the real spirit of celebrating Diwali.

CYBERMAZE 2021-22

   “Predicting the Future isn’t Magic. It’s Artificial Intelligence”

Blue Bells Model School believes in a world where all children are empowered to take their learning into their own hands, a world where their passion, curiosity and creativity are ignited. With this objective, the school under the able guidance and patronage of Ms. Anshuka Aneja, Deputy Director IT, Blue Bells Group of Schools organized Cyber Maze 2021, a Mega Intra School IT Fest from October 6 to November 11, 2021 to bring forth the dynamism and prolific aspect of technology in the hands of tech-savvy generation. The theme for this year was Artificial Intelligence and SDG. Dr. Saroj Suman Gulati, Director, Blue Bells Group of Schools graced the occasion with her benign presence and declared the event open. The event commenced with the Diya lighting, school song and a mesmerising dance. Ms. Alka Singh, the Principal welcomed all the revered guests and apprised everyone about the importance of SDG and Artificial Intelligence in today’s day today life.

An array of interesting competitions related to AI & SDG were designed for the students to exhibit their creativity and IT skills in the enigmatic world of technology. The students of junior wing participated in the events like Doodling, Comic Strip, Movie Making, Digital Poster and Story Telling. The Middle Wing students proved their outstanding acumen by taking part in a gamut of events like Creating Gif, App Designing (Ideate), Documentary and Gamification .The Senior Wing students participated enthusiastically in Vlog, Advertisement, Chatbots, Audio Mixing, Coding (Python)Ideate: Solution to real world problem, Cryptic hunt & Photography. Aryan, the school IT Wizard briefed the students about the events. To refresh the memories of CyberMaze 2019-20 beautiful snapshots were showcased.

The closing ceremony witnessed a mesmerizing dance on the theme. To peep into the activity rich-venues glimpses of CyberMaze were presented creatively. A video show on Minecraft enthralled the audience.

Mr. Rakshit Tandon, the renowned Cyber Security Expert was the Chief Guest of the event. He conducted a workshop on Cyber Safety. Through demonstrations and illustrations, he made students & parents aware of Cybercrime. Mr. Tandon applauded the collective efforts of students and teachers in making the event a great success.

Under the Amrit Festival of Independence, Municipal Corporation Gurugram and Buland Awaz Welfare Society have started a cleaniliness drive ‘Swachhta Pakhwada’ from 15th September 2021 to 17th October 2021. The school took the initiative to celebrate the great cause on 27th September 2021 in the school premise to bring awareness amongst the students on the importance of cleanliness. Ms.Seema Pahuja. Ward No. 15 Councilor, City Team Leader Mr. Moni Prakash, Mr. Kuldeep Singh, Brand Ambassador, Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, Sanjeev Sharma, IEC Expert, Eco Green and Mr. Shailendra Kumar were the guests for the day.The students inspired the august gathering towards cleanliness through a Hindi Street Play and motivating speech. The eminent guests addressed the students and appreciated their efforts. They encouraged them to aactively participate in cleanliness programs and promote sanitation in their neighborhood.The Principal of the school, Ms.Alka Singh, supported the cause and praised the enthusiasm of the students for their sincere participation.

SCIENCE FEST SCITHON 2021

“SCIENCE KNOWS NO COUNTRY BECAUSE KNOWLEDGE BELONGS TO HUMANITY AND IS THE TORCH WHICH ILLUMINATES THE WORLD.”

SCITHON 2021, an Intra-School Science Fest was organised by the Science Department for the Senior Wing students to celebrate the spirit of scientific temperament and creativity amongst the young learners. The event gave an opportunity to the future scientists to connect science with real life contemporary contexts and make science a way of life. The two days journey witnessed young scientists showcasing their scientific intellect through projects, research papers, quizzing and energetic dances. Dr. Saroj Suman Gulati, Director, Blue Bells group of schools graced the occasion with her benign presence and declared the event open. The day one event commenced with the diya lighting, school song and a mesmerising dance performance beautifully depicting human life cycle. The highlight of the day was an interesting quiz which set everyone’s pulse racing as there was a very close contest amongst the participants.

The Second day began with Swaraswati Vandana followed by a melodious song presentation by the school choir enumerating the achievements of mankind in the field of science. The student coordinators Anshika Lohan, Bhavya Piplani and Lavanya Kataria presented the event entries for ‘Eco-Kranti’, ‘Young Investigators’ and ‘Sci-Synergy’. In the ‘Eco- Kranti’ category, participants developed a product using principles of Science to encounter environment related problems. ‘Young Investigators’ event gave a glimpse of future scientists from the Junior category explaining their observations and results of their research paper and in the Senior category participants presentated research paper based on analysis, interpretation, and argument based on in-depth independent exploration. The participants' earnest efforts and scientific aptitude was lauded with Appreciation Awards.

The guest speakers were the school alumni Mr. Kartikey Balyan who is working as a SAP Ariba Functional Consultant in Deloitte and Mr. Khushdeep Tanwar who is pursuing his bachelor’s from IIT-Kanpur.The Guest of Honour was Dr. Kirti Dutta, an Associate Dean at the school of entrepreneurship - Rishihood University. The eminent guests appreciated the young aspirants by stating that these small creative steps at the school level will surely pave a doorway which will enable them to nurture their bigger goals in the realm

of Science. Dr. Madhu Gupta, the overall Science Fest Coordinator addressed the august gathering and showered her blessings on the students. A dance based on pandemic turmoil and gradual overcoming spirit of mankind enthralled everyone in the end. Sauransh Bhardwaj, the Science Wizard and the overall coordinator of the Science Fest concluded the two-days grand event by proposing the vote of thanks.

CITATION CEREMONY

‘THE JOURNEY OF LIFE IS NOT MEANT TO BE FEARED AND PLANNED ALWAYS, IT IS MEANT TO BE TRAVELLED AND ENJOYED AT EVERY STEP.’

When  a student graduates from school, he takes a bag full of memories which become his strength in the coming years. Donning the cap and the graduation gown is a moment of pride for the teachers, parents and certainly the students.

Blue Bells Model school organized an online Citation Ceremony on September 18, 2021  to acknowledge the talents of outgoing students of class XII, session 2020-21 and motivate them to hone their skills and prosper with time.The occasion commenced with the school song, diya lighting and swaraswati vandhana which created a perfect ambience to invoke divine blessings. A self- composed poem recitation by Riddhi Jain on the theme ‘Determination’ inspired the students to achieve the impossible by putting forth their earnest efforts. Each student was felicitated with a Citation during the ceremony that highlighted their specific proficiency and achievements of the yester years. The Director of the school addressed the gathering by sharing her words of wisdom and blessing the students to do their best in the future and become an exemplary figure for others.The concluding video presentation with the images of the outgoing students in their graduation gown and cap bore a live testimony of a beautiful emotional journey of their citation and graduating from school.

Academic Award Ceremony ‘Felicitation’ Classes X & XII

‘Remarkable accomplishment is always heralded by the preparedness to attain excellence.

Achievement is a tradition at Blue Bells and the students of the school strive consistently to prove their mettle and acumen in every sphere. To congratulate and honour the students who notched exceptional results in Class X and XII Board Exams Session 2020-21, a virtual Award Ceremony ‘Felicitation’ was hosted on 10^th September, 2021. The occasion was presided over by honourable Director , Dr. Saroj Suman Gulati, Blue Bells Group of Schools. The event commenced by respectfully invoking the blessings of Goddess Saraswati with a soulful rendition of a song. This was followed by an impassioned recitation of  a self-composed Hindi poem and a rhythmic presentation of a group dance. An interactive session with the School Toppers and Stream Toppers proved to be an encouraging and enriching learning experience for the junior students.

In her inspiring address to the audience, Director Madam, congratulated the academic achievers for their unswerving efforts in achieving their goals and opined that the students should always remain self- motivated.

Speaking on the occasion, Ms. Alka Singh, the Principal urged the students to always remember the values they have ingrained at school. She blessed them for their future plans and applauded the efforts of all the teaching fraternity. The Award Ceremony was held amidst much happiness, cheer and applause. The joyous event ended with a vote of thanks by the Senior Wing Coordinator, Mr. Mohd. Suhail.

Swachhta Pakhwada (Cleanliness Drive Programme)

Cleanliness is an important quality of life. In fact, it is a habit which is often considered just next to godliness. Cleanliness is a habit not related to the wealth of a person, rather it is a habit which depicts the qualities a person is enriched with. To make the students aware of such a necessary quality of life, CBSE came up with Swachhta Pakhwada Activities for the students. Our students took these activities with full gusto and participated in the activities with enthusiasm. During the duration of these fifteen days the students took cleanliness pledge, they also took part in various activities to promote the importance of cleanliness. The teachers shared their viewpoint with the students and made them aware about the importance of the week. The students spoke at length on the importance of hand washing, hygiene and social distancing. They created presentations professing the dos and don’ts of social distancing. They wrote impressive slogans and created placards to spread the word around, not only this they gave away hygiene bags to the community helpers. They made DIY masks and gave them to the ones who were in need. They made badges for themselves as a token of appreciation. Towards the end of the pakhwada the students became aware and educated those who were in close connection with them.

EXAMINATION ORIENTATION

‘AN UPDATE ON CBSE EXAMINATION AND EVALUATION PEDAGOGY’

Blue Bells Model School has always believed in keeping its flagship high with a clear vision of any new updation in the realm of education. Parent-teacher collaboration focusses on the modification of student’s performance and to ensure their best academic performance. In pursuance of the same, the school organized an Examination Orientation ‘An Update on CBSE Examination and Evaluation Pedagogy’ for the parents and students of classes IX-XII. The faculty members of the Examination Department hosted the webinar and updated the parents as well as students regarding the latest CBSE examination and evaluation pattern. The new pedagogy formulated by the Board was systematically and meticulously discussed in the webinar which included the method of Term Examination and Internal Assessment criteria.The orientation programme indeed helped the parents to comprehend the evaluation strategy to be followed in the school to confirm the students’ rewarding learning advancement.?The session closed with an open house session wherein parents’ queries were well attended by the school fraternity. 

AWARD CEREMONY – CLASSES IX AND XI SESSION 2020-21

The excellence achieved by the gifted, goal-orientated and committed students of the school was celebrated and the students were given due recognition in the Award Ceremony on August 28, 2021.The academic winners of classes IX & XI for the session 2020-21 were heartily felicitated. The auspicious occasion commenced on a welcome note to the management, parents and students. The rendition of the school song followed by the mellifluous presentation of the Saraswati Vandana and the lighting of the diya set up a peaceful ambience in the ceremony. This was followed by the message from our revered Director ma’am, Dr. Saroj Suman Gulati. She showered her blessings on the students for their exceptional achievement and urged them to strive for excellence.A self-composed Hindi poem was recited by Niharika of IX B that delighted the august gathering. The ‘Award Ceremony’ was held amidst much cheer and applause as the beaming students of classes IX and XI received a lot of appreciation for their diligence and industrious efforts.A scintillating dance was presented invoking peace on Earth which added to the joy and cheered the guests and students alike.Principal of the school, Ms. Alka Singh addressed the gathering and congratulated the students for their stupendous success. The ceremony was wrapped up with the vote of thanks by Ms. Anjali Nagpal, senior faculty member.
