Blue Bells Model School organized ‘Unwrapping Learning Packages Chapter 2021-22’, Making Learning Visible, a celebration of learning for Primary Wing students on the virtual platform on the theme ‘Governing Ourselves and How the World Works’. At Blue Bells we are sensitized to our duty as an individual, as an eco warrior, as a responsible citizen of our country to know the rules, follow the fundamental rights and protect our environmental resources.

Dr. Saroj Suman Gulati, Director, BBGS graced the occasion with her benign presence and showered her blessings on us. The event was declared open for all by Ms. Soumya Gulati, Deputy Director (Academic Development and Innovations), BBGS. The event was conceptualized by ‘The Learning Space’ under the inspirational guidance of Ms. Soumya Gulati, Deputy Director (Academic Development and Innovations), BBGS. In sync with the theme ‘Governing Ourselves and How the World Works’, the super talented Blue Bellians showcased an enthralling musical presentation, dance performances, class/subject presentations and video and photo galleries. During the Live Connect Sessions, students took up a significant role wherein they conducted theme-based games, involved parents, and made the sessions interactive. The parents were thoroughly engrossed in the process and appreciated the Learning Progression and Thematic Transdisciplinary Approach that wrapped the whole celebration. As a part of internationalism, Ms. Hòang Anh from Vin School Imperia, Vietnam and SMK Negeri from Sononsayang Vocational School, Indonesia joined the live sessions in the event and applauded the efforts of the students and school team. They visited all the windows and were exhilarated with the research done by the students.

International Connect

           "Every experience is an opportunity to learn and grow.”

We, at Blue Bells, believe that exploration and growth go hand in hand. Keeping in sync with this ethos, the students of Blue Bells Model School got an opportunity to interact with the students of Vin School, Vietnam on the topic “Symmetry – FROM THEORY TO CREATIVE PRACTICE” in a Microsoft Teams session.

Students exhibited their presentations on the topic Symmetry showing the connection between nature and symmetry, applications of symmetry and “Creating symmetrical shapes with Geogebra software”.

The session was interactive and engrossing with a perfect blend of Quiz, Presentation, and Information. The Principal of Vin School, Vietnam shared her views on International exchange program and shared that such exposure and International connect propel students towards acceptance and understanding of an array of different cultural and community perspectives.  It was truly an integration of another family as well as the development of life-long friendship fostering an appreciation of internationally connected families. Overall, it was an informative and enriching interaction.

CUCET 2022

‘A WINNING EFFORT BEGINS WITH EARNEST PREPARATION AND COMMITMENT.’

Blue Bells believes in providing every possible platform to its students to achieve excellence and  success in the  journey of their life.In association with VMC the school took the initiative to organize a webinar on "CUCET 2022" for grade XII on February 16, 2022.The webinar commenced with Saraswati Vandana and followed by a formal welcome of the august gathering by Ms. Chhavi Thakur, Senior Wing Coordinator, Science Stream. The objective of this webinar was to acquaint students with the expected pattern for the Central Universities Common Entrance Test 2022(CUCET 2022).The resource person was Mr. Saurabh Kumar, an experienced teacher, speaker and writer. Through a PPT, he explained and shared valuable insight pertaining to CUCET 2022 exam eligibility which included an elaborate discussion on syllabus, date, and notification. There was a clear updation on how to apply and enroll for CUCET 2022.Theprogram was wrapped up with an interactive discussion in which all  CUCET related queries of the students were addressed. The meeting was indeed an enriching and informative learning experience for all the young aspirants of the school.

A hallmark of Blue Bells education is to equip the students with two essential ingredients of life: Strong Roots and Powerful Wings so as to empower them fly higher and live independently. There is a concerted effort to involve students in the broader streams of life outside the classroom so that they are able to relate their learnings to day to day life activities.

In sync with the same objective and to equip the learners with the requisite knowledge and skills to make better career and life decisions, the school organizes Career Confluence every year as a part of Health & Wellness Programme under the patronage of Dr. Alka Saxena, Deputy Director (Health & Wellness), BBGS. The Session was virtually held for the students of Classes XI & XII  on career choices after school  on January 18, 2022.

Career Confluence provides a platform to students to listen to learned stalwarts in the field of career counselling. The Health & Wellness Ambassador and the Peer Mentor  welcomed Mr. Binit Kumar Binod, Mentor and Consultant to conduct this session. He introduced the students to a host of emerging careers in science, commerce and humanities. He  also introduced them to new age career options covering vocational careers, skill-based careers, careers that go beyond familiar streams along with a range of courses. Besides this, he  talked about the many unconventional careers that students could explore and opt for and those best suited to their aptitude, interest, skills, passion and personality. 

Additionally, he also helped students understand the importance of planning for their career early, busted some common myths, and covered other aspects to enable students to choose the right option while selecting their stream.

The last part of the session was an interactive ‘Question Answer Round’ which helped students to clarify several concerns regarding career choices. With an overwhelming participation by students and parents, the Confluence was a huge success.

73rd Republic Day Celebration

‘WITH FREEDOM IN OUR MIND AND FAITH IN OUR HEART, LET’S REMEMBER THE GOLDEN HERITAGE OF OUR COUNTRY AND FEEL PROUD TO BE AN  INDIAN’.

Celebration gains depth and dignity when it has a tinge of sanctity and sacredness. With this virtuous thought, Blue Bells Model School, Sector-4, Gurugram celebrated 73rd Republic Day, ‘A Salaam’ to mark the iconic moment of Indian history when India's constitution came into being declaring the country as an Independent Republic Nation. On this auspicious occasion, day’s proceedings commenced with the hoisting of the National Flag by Dr. Saroj Suman Gulati, Director Blue Bells Group of Schools. Madam addressed stating the importance of patriotism that we should protect our motherland wholeheartedly and promise to contribute and preserve our precious heritage, our culture and our valuable treasure. 

The song presentation was an amalgamation of different languages enhanced the spirit of the day’s celebration symbolizing harmony, peace and benevolence. Shagun Jain the Ambassador of the school recited the poem, ‘Lal Quile Pe Tiranga,Sadak pe Bharat Ma ki Jai with great patriotic fervour.

On this pious day we launched an app named as JEEV RAKSHA which has been created by Karan Lakhani of grade VIII.This was an ideation of Karan and curated by Harshit Maggu of class XI This app is made to save animals. The main attraction of the celebration was Panel Discussion on: 73^rd Anniversary: Reiterating the Attributes of a Long Lost India. The eminent panelists were Maj.Gen.Anil Kumar Sengar,YSM,VSM,  Mr.Akshay Sapre, Advocate Supreme Court & Mr.Robinder Nath Sachdeva, President, The Imagination Institute. The distinguished speakers emphasised on how India can once again become a Golden Bird. Maj.Gen.Anil expressed his love for nation and gave a message for the students that “Our Flag does not fly because the wind moves it, it flies with the last breath of each soldier who died protecting it”. Taking this further Mr.Akshay Sapre and Mr.Robinder Nath Sachdeva expressed that we need to preserve our values like compassion, tolerance and patience and believe in the adage ‘Live and let live’. Alumnus Nischai Vats, Sub-Editor and Proofreader at Inshorts News App addressed  the  gathering by stating  that "Press is to serve the governed not the governors".The audience was spellbound witnessing the dance presentation of the talented Bluebellians reflecting unity & diversity of our country.The programme concluded with a beautiful quote on nationalism,

‘Naya bharat banana hai,Ek badlaaw lana hai, aur

Jyda kuch nahi karna,Bas wo ek Badlaaw

Pehle khud me lana hai.’

‘LA Fête De La Langue’—A Festival of Languages Edition III Chapter 2021- 2022

is a befitting platform to understand more deeply the preeminence of languages for it is the power, life and instrument of culture, the instrument of domination and liberation. We at Blue Bells believe that every language is a projection of a different vision of life which contributes in transcending barriers and strengthening emotional bindings across humanity. 

In an effort to celebrate the grandeur of languages and appreciate them in their varied moods and genres, Blue Bells Model School hosted ‘La Fete De La Langue’-A Festival of Languages Edition III Chapter 2021-22 on January 20 & 21, 2022 under the aegis of GPSC. The event was an earnest effort to expand horizons and comprehend the galore of languages. Prof Rana Nayyar(Retd) graced the occasion as distinguished guest. Mr.Nayyar is a multilinguist, writer, critic, scholar & translator. He addressed the gathering and reflected on the importance of language, a medium of communication.We were privileged to have amongst us our International guests Ms. Sandra from Macedonia,Mr Daniel from South Korea and Dr.Dary from The Philliphines. We also welcomed Ms. Meenakshi Dhiman, Mr. Mayank Malik, Ms. Meenakshi Gupta, Ms. Sneha Dutta Biswas , Ms. Bhavna Sharma, Ms. Soniya Monga, Mr. Hitesh, Mr. Srijan Mahajan,Vikas Sharma,Vishwas Sharma, Dr.Honey Verma, Ms. Priya Nanda , Mr. Sumit Kapoor Mr. Ravindra Kumar Tanwarand Mr. Abhishek Shrivastava as our eminent jury members. 

The two-day mega event commenced with the lighting of the diyas to pay our obeisance to Late Shri. B.D.Gulatiji , Founder Chairman Sir, BBGS . The Principal of the school accorded a warm welcome to the august gathering emphasizing the key role that language plays in one’s life. A pious Multi Religion Prayer gave a befitting start to the mega event. Ms. Soumya Gulati Deputy Director, Academic Development and Innovation Blue Bells Group of Schools declared the event open amidst the talented and over enthusiastic contestants.

29 schools with 272 participants and 14 interesting and absorbing events made this Fest spectacular. Day 1 witnessed the Live Events – Pictocraft for grade III and Contra Opinion for grade XI & XII on the Topic“Creative adaptability in times of crisis is the only solution”(?????????? ??? ???????? ????????  ?? ??????? ??????).. The contestants put forth their  thought provoking views. The students fervently participated in the events and the jury members were astounded by their multidimensional expertise and skills.

Apart from the live events, the students also participated in the competitions wherein they sent their entries for adjudgment. The events were Twist & Twirl,Kavita Gayan, Nritya Natika, Lingua Arte,Rap a Beat, Kath Katha , Gita Adyatam, Nritya Natika  ,Creative Photography,¡BienvenidoalMundoEspañol!(Spanish),LAPUBLICIÉ GASTRONOMIQUE EN INDE( French) and Perspective Photography for Classes III to XII. Participants showcased their supreme command and skill in using the language in diverse forms and earned a huge appreciation from judges and fellow contestants.

In the Closing-cum-Valedictory Ceremony, the highlighting feature was the dance performance based on Sustainable Development Goals which is the peace policy of the future. In this mega event of festival of languages, the host school made  an earnest effort to create awareness and reiterate the fact that life on earth needs to be humanly and empathetically nurtured.

The kaleidoscopic glimpses of the various events were mirrored through a Power Point Presentation.  The Overall Winners Trophy was clinched by DPS Sec-45 Gurugram. The moment became momentous when Ms. Soumya Gulati, Deputy Director (Academic Development & Innovation), BBGS congratulated the participating schools for their commendable endeavours.  ‘LA FÊTE DE LA LANGUE’- Edition III Chapter 2021-22A Festival of Languages was a humble attempt of the school to bring the grandeur of language alive.

SURYA NAMASKAR SESSION

To mark the auspicious occasion of Makar Sankranti, India celebrated Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav -A tribute on 75th anniversary of independence of India. Teachers and students of Blue Bells Model School, sec-4, Gurugram joined the ministry of Ayush and organized an online Surya Namaskar on the occasion, to bring an awareness that health is primarily the most important aspect of life. The school’s participation in the 'Surya Namaskar is a salutation to the Sun to exhibit one’s gratitude for each of its rays as it nurtures all living beings.

‘KEEPING PACE WITH THE NEEDS OF THE MODERN ERA, SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT IS THE NEED OF THE HOUR.’

Preservation of the planet is presently the prime concern of mankind. To accelerate hamans progress to achieve the goal of a safer, cleaner, greener and more prosperous world, Blue Bells Model School took the noble initiative to organize  Humanities Fest ‘Udbhav: Ek Nayi Soch’ on January 8 & 9, 2022. The opening ceremony commenced with the diya lighting followed by shloka chanting. Ms. Alka Singh, Principal of the school accorded a formal welcome to the august gathering.The school song entrenched with a powerful message of Bluebellians being responsible inhabitants of the planet, set a perfect ambience for the fest. Ms. Soumya Gulati, Deputy Director Academic Development and Innovation, BBGS graced the occasion with her benign presence.

Prof. Sunil Bald, Associate Dean and William Henry Bishop and Visiting Professor at Yale School of Architecture was the Guest of Honour. He addressed the meeting by stating about building sustainable buildings and cities through a presentation with new ideas and information. Mr. Dinesh Kumar Arya, Senior Sector Manager for Energy, Department for International Trade, British High Commission, New Delhi, India was the Chief Guest. He delivered an enlightening  speech on the vast topic of COP26 and India’s influence for climate action. The talented dancers of the school enthralled the gathering through their mesmerizing performance connecting their supple steps with the origin of the holy river Ganga. Six hundred participants from across the country and abroad zealously took part in an array of events like Quiz, North South Dialogue, Connaissance and The Mindset Jam.

In the closing ceremony, the Keynote Speakers Mr. Sachin Sengar, a climate activist, Dr. Kirtikumar Bhatt, Professor & Principal, Narnarayan Shastri Institute of Technology,Ahmedabad and Dr Kalpana Dixit, a Research Supervisor and NCERT certified counselor spoke on the role of youth and their thoughtful contribution in achieving a sustainable future. Dr. Saroj Suman Gulati, Director BBGS appreciated the students’ earnest efforts in making the fest an enriching learning experience for all. The day two event witnessed the eagerness of the participants to know about the result. Result declaration was indeed a difficult task as all the schools gave a tough competition. After the results declaration, the Udbhav Team gave a final signing off by extending their gratitude to all the participants, teachers, management members, Guests of Honour, Chief Guest, Keynote Speakers, Judges and most importantly, the hard working Team Udbhav, who made it all possible and solely in charge for its grand success at its maiden venture.

RIVER ROOTZ – MIDDLE WING ASSEMBLY

“A river doesn’t just carry water. It carries life.” Rivers have been the lifelines of our nation and every nation in the world. India is a civilization which has grown out of a riverbank. Looking at the depleting conditions of the rivers the students of Middle Wing presented a thought-provoking assembly - RIVER ROOTZ on SDG 6 – Clean Water and Sanitation - showcasing data-driven case-study based approach undertaken in their classrooms. The assembly began with Nadi Stuti hailing the rivers of the nation. The students presented their findings in the form of the videos, presentations and story narration. The informative assembly was infused with a melodious song and an enthralling dance performance which mesmerized the audience. The data about water wastage presented by the students was surprisingly shocking for all. The Director, Dr. Saroj Suman Gulati, appreciated the students for the burning issue that the students had taken up and the Principal, Madam Alka Singh congratulated the students for their commendable efforts. The assembly culminated with a pledge taken by one and all as an endeavour to save water always.
