FIFTH SESSION OF INTERNATIONALISM BY BLUE BELLS MODEL SCHOOL ON THE THEME - ‘IF I LIVED THERE’

In the words of  John Dewey (1859-1952), the American education reformer,  ‘Education is not a preparation for life, education is life itself.’ To  foster a spirit of  learning with international brotherhood and also provide a platform to the scholars to become global citizens by transcending geo-political boundaries , the Fifth session of Internationalism was organized by school on February 5, 2021 on a virtual platform with a Foreign Language School “Step by Step”, Skopje, North Macedonia under the project “Inter Cultural Virtual Exchange – North Macedonia and India”

Learning about different places plays  a significant role in nurturing  relationship. It develops a healthy community and enhances problem-solving skills. The students of  both the schools deliberated and developed an understanding on the  importance of  each country on this planet. The students of Macedonia presented their project on Switzerland emphasizing the importance of the country in making the earth more beautiful. After the presentation a quiz was also conducted to internalise the concept. It was an edifying interaction.

CLASS ASSEMBLY BY VI D ON THE THEME ‘SKY ISN’T THE LIMIT’

"Never believe that the sky is the limit because there are footprints on the moon” with this thought in mind students of Class VI D picked up the most inspiring theme to present in their Class Assembly – ‘SKY ISN’T THE LIMIT’ on January 18, 2021.  

The assembly began with the thought for the day, news, significance of the week followed by a vocabulary game, dance, song and role play wherein the students portrayed the  popular astronauts-pilots and apprised the audience about their life. The assembly was given a befitting close with a video rendering a deep message that if one wants to reach high, then one  needs to chase one’s  dreams with resolute focus and determination. 

Annual Award Ceremony (Primary Wing)

‘Succeeding in life is as simple as being a good student. All you have to do is pay attention, work hard and inspire others.’

The Annual Award Ceremony of Blue Bells Model School (Primary Wing) for the session 2019-20 was held on January 30, 2021, in the distinguished presence of Honourable Dr. Saroj Suman Gulati, Director.

The event commenced by humbly invoking the blessings of the Goddess Saraswati with a soulful rendition. This was followed by a self-composed poem, the theme for which was diligence and success. Students of Primary Wing gave brilliant presentations on STEAM project as well as on SDG project. A wonderful Rajasthani dance was performed which further added a spark to the event. The Award Ceremony was held amidst much joy, cheer and applause as the beaming students of classes III to V received a lot of appreciation and e-certificates. In addition to their glorious Academics Achievement, they were also awarded with Regularity Punctuality Awards in recognition of full attendance.

In her inspiring address to the audience, Honourable Director madam, congratulated the prize winners for their consistent efforts in achieving their goals and also advised students to remain self- motivated. The jubilant event ended with a vote of thanks followed by our school song.

‘UNFOLDING INDIAN HISTORY: THE REAL ESSENCE OF REPUBLIC’

BLUE BELLS MODEL SCHOOL ,SECTOR 4 , GURUGRAM HOSTS A PANEL DISCUSSION ON ‘UNFOLDING INDIAN HISTORY: THE REAL ESSENCE OF REPUBLIC’

Blue Bells Model School nurtures well informed patriots who grow up understanding the vividness of this country and the moral principles of its Constitution. In furtherance of this vision and to mark the 72nd Republic Day , the school organized a Panel Discussion on the topic ‘Unfolding Indian History: The Real Essence of Republic’ on January 26, 2021. The virtual discussion platform was embellished with the illustrious presence of Dr. Saroj Suman Gulati, Director , BBGS and Ms. Soumya Gulati , Deputy Director ( Academic Development & Innovation),BBGS.

The discussion had on board eminent panelists specializing in varied fields. Major General Dilawar Singh, Senior Vice President, Global Economist Forum, AO, Economic and Social Council of the United, Professor B. M. Sharma, Chairman, Rajasthan Public Service Commission, Mr. Amitabh Mohan, Founder, HLS India Ltd and a leading Psychologist of India and Ms. Sanam Siddiqui, Founder, Peritia Law Chambers, a Senior Advocate, litigator and researcher were the expert speakers who deliberated on the topic and gave a different perspective of understanding our Constitution . The event was moderated by Mr. Rudraksh Singh Bhati along with students . The navigation of the session by the moderators made it a really fruitful discussion and all the panelists heartily appreciated the strides which the school is making in its pedagogy in view of the current crisis.

Speaking on the occasion , Director Ma’am congratulated the school team for the wonderful session . The same sentiment was reiterated by Madam Soumya Gulati , Deputy Director ( Academic Development and Innovation) ,BBGS. It was an enriching experience for all .

BLUE BELLS MODEL SCHOOL COMMEMORATES 72nd REPUBLIC DAY

Republic Day reminds us of the sacred values enshrined in the Constitution of India, It is a day of national pride. The struggle for freedom was based on some high principles and ideas, such as non-violence, cooperation and non-discrimination. To reinforce the love for freedom, 72nd Republic Day was celebrated with patriotic favour and enthusiasm by the school on January 26, 2021.

The programme commenced with the unfurling of the National tricolor by Dr. Saroj Suman Gulati, Honourable Director , Blue Bells Group of Schools, along with the ceremonial March past orchestrated with the beating of the drums. Ms. Soumya Gulati, Deputy Director (Academic Development & Innovation), Blue Bells Group of Schools blessed everyone with her gracious presence.

The spirit of patriotism was kept alive through a scintillating cultural programme which rekindled the feelings of love and emotional bondage with the motherland in the august gathering. The students presented a spectacular cultural programme on the theme – ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat ‘, where there was perfect blend of speech, poem, sports activities and dance presentation that depicted the journey of the nation into a superior arena. The academic achievers of Classes VI-IX & XI were felicitated during the celebration.

Speaking on the occasion, Director Ma’am enlightened everyone about their responsibilities and duties towards their motherland. She wished students to value the hard earned freedom and work as a single unit to take India to the path of glory and fame. It was mesmerizing experience for everyone present.

Circle Time

‘Happiness is spending quality time with each other’

Circle Time is an opportunity wherein students engage with each other and listen to each other. It encourages unity, respect, turn-taking and working together towards a shared vision. In sync with this, Circle Time and Fun-Friday was organized for the students of Primary Wing.

Facilitators planned from a range of activities, such as co-operative games, rounds, musical games, drama activities, talking and listening exercises. Healthy breakfast was done together and stories/experiences were exchanged. These in turn helped students to perk up everyone’s experience of Winter break and help students to get the most out of their school days especially these virtual school days.

Students were extremely thrilled and grateful with this ‘special’ time.

LOHRI CELEBRATION

Festivals in India are explicitly associated with our legacy to celebrate togetherness. With the warmth of bonn fire, sweetness of gur and rewri Blue Bells Model School, Sector-4 Gurugram celebrated occasion of Lohri and Makar Sankranti on January 13,2021 .

The occasion was adorned by the gracious presence of Dr. Saroj Suman Gulati, Director , BBGS and Madam Soumya Gulati , Deputy Director (Academic Development and Innovations), BBGS.

The celebration was organized on the virtual platform where the students presented a perfectly orchestrated programme with song , music , dance , significance of the festival along withlive streaming of the event from the school campus . The festival known for feasts and foods was an expression of gratitude to God for His provisions and to celebrate His creations.

Dr. Saroj Suman Gulati, Director, Blue Bells Group of Schools applauded the efforts of the school team for organizing the celebration keeping the festive spirit alive and wished everyone prosperity and happiness. The event wrapped up with the thought that Lohri fire burns away all the sadness out of one’s life and brings joy, contentment and love.

HONOURING UNITY IN DIVERSITY OF INDIA

India – the five letter word is a Power, a Diversity so Strong, a Story which has been there for long! Times have come and gone, and the soil still is as fresh. The air still smells as fresh and the name always resounds the bells ringing in a temple. The sound of the morning prayer at a mosque and the melody of Gurbani at the Gurudwara. India has it all! To salute this Unity in Diversity , the students of Class VII D presented a spectacular Class Assembly on January 15, 2021 on a virtual platform .

The students of Class VII D presented a cornucopia of different facets of India as  a land of cultural pluralism where diverse cultures exist in complete co-union. The thought  , news , significance of the day , speech, music and dance presentation were perfectly blended with the theme. The thought-provoking quiz was the show stopper and garnered the attention of all. The entire presentation was made astounding the tech geeks of the class who beautifully brought out the patriotic fervour in all.

STRENGTH OF POSITIVITY

“What you think you create, what you feel you attract, what you imagine you become.” Class IX B conceptualized and presented their class assembly on this theme on January 11, 2021.

 The assembly commenced with a beautiful and positive thought. All the assembly features were interwoven around the theme and gave a platform to young Blue Bellians to showcase their inherent potential in a creative manner. A self-composed poetry presentation coupled with documentary on Law of Attraction and the Power of Sub-conscious mind left the audience gasping for more.A Stand-up Comedy act gave a befitting close to the Assembly.

POSITIVE VIBES

At the beginning of the new year, Class VI B, organized and presented an assembly on the topic “Positive Vibes” on January 12, 2021. The main purpose of the assembly was to imbibe love and respect in children towards themselves as well as towards the society with positivity.

The assembly started with the Gayatri Mantra, followed by Thought of the Day, Breaking News about India, Sports and International issues. A beautiful and motivational self- composed poem and an interesting skit on importance of a positive attitude was presented .The students curated a quiz to introduce an element of fun in learning . In order to enhance happiness and self-love, a dance performance to appreciate one’s own self and value inner beauty rather than physical appearance mesmerized the audience .The assembly closed on the thought , “Positive Mind & Positive Vibes Leads to Positive Life”.
