Mahesh Chandra ji , who as a true Karamyogi has enlightened the path of all the Blue Bellians towards grandeur, prominence and eminence. The members of  Blue Bells Family feel highly blessed to be receiving the patronage and guidance of our Revered Chairman Sir who with his exemplary values of selfless service and ardent devotion stands as our role-model for ‘Service above Self’. 

As a humble gesture to pay our reverence and commemorate Chairman Sir’s  birthday,  'Surmayi -Aaradhna' - soulful rendition of bhajans was  organized on the virtual  platform on August 31,2020 to seek the blessings of the  Almighty . The coveted Management Committee , School Leadership Teams along with all the members of Blue Bells Group of Schools joined in this celestial sojourn. The presence of all made the moment momentous and as precious as a pearl in the memories of all .

We at Blue Bells believe in challenging the limits as we  cultivate innovation in education by meticulously planning and executing diverse strategies to hone the teaching learning process. In this journey of enriching lives,  we enjoy a beautiful association of our parents who are our co-partners in providing holistic learning ambience to our scholars . In furtherance of the vision , Parent Orientation Webinar on Online Assessment was organized by the school on August 29, 2020 under the guidance of Madam Anshuka Aneja , Deputy Director -IT , BBGS. Two sessions were arranged  for the parents , one for Classes VI -VIII and other for Classes IX to XII respectively.

The parents were briefed about the different ways of assessment on the virtual platform. The guidelines of the Online Examination along with the division of Subjective and Objective Papers deemed essential were shared with them . The school team urged the parents to extend their relentless  support to their wards by understanding and addressing their concerns . The session closed with the Question and Answer round where the queries of the parents were answered by the school team

To commemorate the birth anniversary of hockey legend Major Dhyan Chand, National Sports Day is celebrated across the country on 29 August. This auspicious day was celebrated at Blue Bells Model School to spread awareness on the importance of sports and physical activities in every individual's life.

A special assembly was conducted by the students of IV C wherein students were made aware of the significance of this day. On this occasion, all the students showcased various sports activities with great enthusiasm and zeal. The little ones had fun while indulging in different activities like Role plays, melodious Music performance followed by Yoga Tale Session and Yoga Session. The sessions were conducted by the students to enlighten the benefits of being healthy.

Students marked this magnificent day by presenting a beautiful video showcasing the world their Tip to Toe energy and demonstrate that they are energetic students of Blue Bells Model School.

The assembly was concluded with melodious school song.

THE DESIGN CHALLENGE 2020: HONING SCIENTIFIC TEMPER , INNOVATION & EXPLORATION

“There are no dreams too large, no innovations unimaginable and No Frontiers Beyond our Reach”

With this thought an E-Science Fair – “The Design Challenge” was organized on a virtual platform for the Middle Wing Students of classes 6 to 10 at Blue Bells Model School on August 24 & 25, 2020. Innovation in Education has become mandate in today’s transforming world. In fact, it is much more than just technology. It is about how one can enrich skills and become lifelong novices by inculcating the spirit of scientific thinking. This platform witnessed our young participants  & future entrepreneurs to design products and services with real life applications so as to  help create better solutions to our day to day problems With this believe  each student would ideate, develop their creativity,  and enhance their problem-solving skills.

26 Innovators showcased their Creations under one platform during this challenge programme. Each had their own originality & creativity and participated with enthusiasm and passion. The contest aimed at searching for young students to showcase their ideas/ designs/ devises which would be usable, feasible and empower the society in some ways.

 Day 1 of the design challenge witnessed 14 participants who show cased their prototype layout and its feasibility and how the product can be made beneficial for humanity.

The first participant was Bhavika Dhingra of 6C with her app to access books in school library. According to her, this app will have access to thousands of e-books, delivery systems for several books from nearby libraries and a recommendation system for confused book readers.

The next young innovative inventor was Divyesh from class 9A who presented a Reaction Stick which would be very helpful in the pandemic The third in line was Yuvansh Sehrawat of 6B with his Idea Hydraulic lift, a device for cleaning vehicles which will make the task much easier and hassle free.

Arnav Pathak of 6C presented his project Electrical Air board that floats in the air and which will help people to travel for short distances like to go to market and to go somewhere nearby. Further Shrey Ahuja of class 6B presented his AATMANIRBHAR BHARAT APP an app that enables the country to become self -sufficient by providing a platform for skill sharing. Harshit Dwivedi of 7A explained his idea Automated mixing device. An automated mixing device which will lighten the burden of kitchen chores. Himanshi Chauhan of 7C showcased her project, An Innovative Water Dispenser.

Karan Lakhani from class 7B presented his project Watch Book Chess to keep the young ones constructively occupied. Yatharth Mittal of class 10 presented his project Alcohol Ignition Interlock Device. This device helps check the level of consumption of alcohol by the driver with mq3 sensor’s aid.  Diya Madan from 8th B presented her project “Bluetooth tracker” which is a combination of technology and creativity while  Aditya Kapoor of class 9D showcased his project Social Distancing Guard, which is a social distancing guard (SDG) that helps people to maintain social distancing. Kirti Bhardwaj of 6B presented her idea of Automated broom, an automated floor cleaner which will work without bumping into objects. Last but not the least, Pavaki of class 8B showcased her project Invisible Drone, which is a spy gadget, as it will help spies save lives and prevent terrorist attacks.

Day 2 of the design challenge saw a mesmerising and fascinating presentation on  re-creation of re-designing of our school. The budding architects were Priyanshu Singh, Aarav Dudeja and Samridh Singh   of class X B. The day also witnessed 12 participants who were all set and enthusiastic about displaying their ideas. Very effectively the protype of their product was explained through their presentations.

It began with Aayush of class 8 A presenting his wastewater managing-Aqua Manager.

Kartik of class 8A presented his innovation “The Blind’s Glass” - glasses for the visually impaired people especially belonging to the economically weaker section of the society.

Yashi of class 9A presented her innovation designed specifically for the Waste Management & its Disposal.

Rashi Chopra of 10 C sensitized us all that plastic is a great threat to our planet, but we cannot imagine living without it also. A green solution by the idea of making plastic from succulent was her innovation.

Pranav Tehlan- of class 8A presented his creation, The Ambulance drone Innovation is progress in the face of tradition and to bring this thought into action Shourya of class 8 A presented his project-Aero cleaner.

Jatin chutani of 9D came up with his idea of a Fitness Tracker that charges on sweat.

Armaaan Sareen -8C presented his Anti Plastic Ink Maker based on the scientific principles to preserve the environment. Himanshu of class 8D presented his idea of creating a Smart Toothbrush with sensors. Automated car sanitizer and its function with working was presented by Giri Gupta of 10A.

Kanack Malik of 6 B shared her creativity and innovation by exhibiting her game app named Scratch game

Finally, Kumar Harsh Wardhan of class 8 B presented his Accident preventing Devise which emphasized that “life is the most precious gift God has given us” so we need to devise ways to prevent accidents.

The participants were applauded for their amazing presentations. The design challenge was judged by our Senior Science Faculty who also gave valuable insight into each of these projects.

Ray Bradbury had truly said, “Touch a scientist and you touch a student” And today the Blue Bellians surely proved it right. The Design Challenge,2020 brought both imagination and innovation under one roof.

E – Design challenge provided students a stage to Explore, Research and use all the tools to Uncover something new. It involved active participation. It helped them to look at problems in a different way and solve them innovatively.

GURUGITA: A SPIRITUAL SOJOURN

GURUGITA: A SPIRITUAL SOJOURN HOSTED BY  BLUE BELLS MODEL SCHOOL, SECTOR 4, GURUGRAM

“Our body is the temple of the living God who resides inside.” Thus, awakening of our inner conscience is a prerequisite to elevate our thinking and ideology. For this we require a Guru, who is the incarnation of the creator Brahma, the preserver Vishnu and the destroyer, Shiva. He is directly the supreme spirit to whom we should offer our salutations as he would guide us towards ‘Karma’ and the purpose of life with which we have taken form on earth.

Blue Bells Model School proudly hosted ‘GURUGITA’-A Spiritual Sojourn with a perfect blend of the teachings of The Bhagavat Gita and Gurubaani on August 22, 2020 on a virtual platform . The event was the humble effort of the students under the guidance of Hindi & Sanskrit Department. The event was graced by the benign presence of Shri Mahesh Chandra Ji , Chairman , Dr. Saroj Suman Gulati , Director and other coveted members of the Management.

All the presentations by the students were woven around the theme of awakening of soul towards righteous path. Only with an awakened self, one can understand soul’s relationship with the Supreme Soul and, also, its role in life. The members of the school were mesmerized by the performances.

Speaking on the occasion. Chairman Sir blessed everyone and congratulated the school team for the wonderful effort of rooting the future citizens to the rich Indian culture and heritage. Sir highlighted the importance of Guru in spiritual awakening and connecting to the Almighty.

Dr. Saroj Suman Gulati , Director ,BBGS thanked Shri Mahesh Chadra ji , Chairman for being an exceptional Guru for last forty years and guiding & motivating all in the new ventures . The event beautifully brought alive mission of the school to provide a learning environment that encourages children to bring out the best in themselves by enabling their all-round development through the joy of learning, enduring values and the celebration of diversity.

Ganpati Bappa Morya!’

Ganesh Chaturthi is celebrated as the birthday of Lord Ganesha, the son of Lord Shiva and Parvati. The festival is also known as Ganesh Chaturthi or Ganeshotsav. To root the students to our rich cultural heritage, Blue Bells Model School celebrated the festival with great pomp and gaiety.

Students of class IV B presented a special assembly depicting the festival of ‘Ganesh Chaturthi’. The assembly highlighted the significance of the festival through a song, dance and video presentation. The assembly included a few incidents from the life of the most adorable Hindu God, Ganpati. The students also presented the ‘ECO FRIENDLY GANESHA idol curated by them using fruits and vegetables. The students presented the wonderful message of creating awareness among the humans by the video created and enacted by them.

Everybody enjoyed the assembly and appreciated the students’ efforts. The assembly was concluded on a positive note that one should not forget the culture, tradition and importance of celebrating festivals.

METAMORPHOSIS 2020- HEALTH & WELLNESS FIESTA

CELEBRATED AT BLUE BELLS MODEL SCHOOL, SECTOR 4, GURUGRAM

Honing Life Skills is an ardent need to nurture students of today as wholesome wholes. Dr. Alka Saxena , Deputy Director ( Health & Wellness) BBGS,  has been ardently working towards for the holistic well-being of all . Under the aegis of Health & Wellness Programme of the school,  Metamorphosis – Health & Wellness Fiesta 2020-21, was celebrated by conducting a thought-provoking Webinar on the topic “ Optimism during Adversity ---How to develop it” on virtual platform on August 20 & 21, 2020

Dr. Mimansa Singh Tanwar,   Clinical Psychologist  &  Coordinator , School Mental Health Programme,   Fortis Hospital , Gurugram was the Resource person for the webinar. Separate sessions were conducted for Classes IX & X and also Classes XI & XII.  The programme geared towards creating awareness about how to be positive in this adverse situation, especially the teenagers, to help them  optimally utilize their potential. Dr Saroj Suman Gulati, Director, Blue Bells Group of Schools and Dr. Alka Saxena graced the occasion with their benign presence.

Dr. Mimansa told that all emotions are natural and  at times we may feel stressed. To deal with stress,  we need to find out  trigger for stress so that we can deduce  what we can control or what we can not . It will   always help us  to focus on what we can control which will  change the responses we have . Thus , at times we have good day or bad day. We need to identify our emotions,  and learn to deal with them  effectively by accepting them. She gave tips on  how we can create positivity around us by investing ourselves in doing creative things like  Art , , music , writing journals and most important communicating effectively with family and being  connected with our  friends and near ones.  She also conveyed that it is a time to build generosity, empathy, compassion and express gratitude to everybody around. She encouraged all to be media literate and recommended to employ social media and virtual platform for developing good interpersonal relationship by balancing the concept of individualism and collectivism. The session closed with a useful question and answer round.

Dr. Saroj Suman Gulati, Director, BBGS, congratulated the Health & Wellness Team of the school for organizing the Webinar in an effective manner . Ma’am appreciated Dr. Mimansa for  conducting very enlightening sessions and apprising everyone on how optimism in adversity can be developed . Dr. Alka Saxena asked the students to stay positive during this tough phase. She also stressed on the importance of Life Skills to help cope with these stressful times and also spoke about the importance of hobbies  . She apprised all that the Health & Wellness Team is available to support all for their holistic wellness.

INDEPENDENCE DAY

INDEPENDENCE DAY CELEBRATED WITH ENTHUSIASM & PATRIOTIC FERVOR  BY

 BLUE BELLS MODEL SCHOOL , SECTOR 4,GURUGRAM

 Independence is a blessing which needs to be protected and  preserved .

Blue Bells Model School celebrated 74^th  Independence Day on August 15, 2020 with utmost serenity and commitment as the Indian Independence movement was studded with contribution of many individuals who laid down their lives for this great nation. The dream for a free , independent India was nurtured with the passion of a self reliant India. The theme for the celebration was ‘Atamnirbhar Bharat’, a dream envisioned by Honourable Prime Minister Mr. Narender Modi coupled with the tribute  to the brave hearts , our defence forces who have protected us always.

The challenging situation of today could not deter the spirit of the Blue Bellians who showcased supreme coordination and camaraderie to put up a brilliant show . The magnificent ground of the school was abuzz with patriotic fervour when Amar Jawan Jyoti curated by the Art Department was erected along with  panels depicting the vision of self reliant India . Ms. Alka Singh , Principal, Blue Bells Model School  unfurled the national tricolour in sky and accorded a warm welcome to all . The colourful cultural extravaganza presented by students  included the Instrumental Music Rendition , Self-composed poems on Self Reliant India and tribute to martyrs , magical Classical dance performances , self-composed song and patriotic dance presentation .  Every performance  echoed the true  sentiments of all Indians.

Dr. Saroj Suman Gulati ,  Director , Blue Bells Group of Schools addressed the audience and outlined students’ duties in making India a powerful  nation & safe place to live in. She urged the  students to  abstain themselves  from going for extra Tuitions and spend money there . Instead, they should be more confident and  attentive in class and try to gain maximum knowledge from their  educators . This will further help the school and students to become self- reliant and lead to the  progress of the society and nation at large . The event reminded  everyone about India’s glory, triumph, martyrdom and sacrifice of selfless freedom fighters along with a wish to become self-reliant.  

MOCK TOURNAMENT WITH BEHES

TWO DAY DEBATE TRAINING CUM ONE MOCK TOURNAMENT ORGANIZED BY BLUE BELLS MODEL SCHOOL IN COLLABORATION WITH BEHES -INDIA’S LARGEST DEBATE TOURNAMENT TEAM

“Debate is the desired part of a delightful learning”

Blue Bells Model School , Sector 4, Gurugram  organized a Two Day Training cum One Mock Tournament with Behes - India’s Largest  Debate Tournament Team from August 7 to 9, 2020 . At Blue Bells , we understand that Effective Communication is  a powerful tool and is rightly considered the key to all success. It was furthering the  vision of building a  platform for young students to express themselves and debate some engaging and relevant topics. The training sessions for two days were specifically designed for the students to hone the creative and critical thinking  along with their literary skills. 

 Mock Tournament was  a celebration of ideas, interactive and challenging with students exploring a wide variety of topics and critically examining them. All the debate topics were given impromptu and were based on a suggested reading (and viewing) list that is updated every few months. Students explored selections spanning a variety of disciplines in their bid to challenge their peers and gain a valuable insight in  debating. The free-flowing debate format encouraged the growth of research, collaborative and analytical apart from oratory skills.

The overwhelming response of the students to the event made it a grand success .

Janmashtami

‘May Lord Krishna’s flute invite the melody of love in your life and bless your soul with eternal happiness’

To root the students to our rich cultural heritage, Janmashtami was celebrated with utmost zeal and enthusiasm. A special assembly was organized on August 11, 2020 by the students of class IV A. The assembly began with the regular features of the assembly followed by soulful speech which apprised everyone with the story of Lord Krishna.The assembly included role play and dance performance showcasing Lord Krishna’s preaching and glimpse of Raasleela respectively wherein the students dressed as Lord Krishna and Radha and spellbound everyone with their rhythmic performance. They were adorned in their ethnic attire which drew applause. 

Several activities were conducted to mark the occasion.
