STUDENT -TEACHERS SESSION

“Minds are like parachutes, they function only when they are open.”

The students of Class III gathered for their assembly today. As it was a new beginning, the teachers shared important information with the students which they should all be aware of.

Discipline teaches us to be systematic in every phase of life. To inculcate self-discipline into the students, Class Inchage, Ms Mamta Vijra of III A, shared its importance to the students.

 As its summer time, it becomes mandatory that we take precautions and keep ourselves safe from the sun’s heat. Class Incharge, Ms Monisha of III B gave important tips to the students to have cool and safe summer days ahead.

Time and tide wait for none. Ms Ritu Gupta, Class Incharge III C, told the students about the importance of time management and how we should utilise the time wisely doing constructive activities.

Good manners help everyone to become a good human being. This was very aptly discussed by Ms Shalini Verma, Class Incharge III D.

It was an enlightening and interactive session with the students.

CLASS III PRESENTATION

“Start from where you are with whatever tools you may have, and better tools will be found along the way”

The journey of class III students began today with an introductory performance. Each section gave a wonderful presentation by singing melodious song and prayers. The presentation included a prayer song by class III B, ‘Ai Malik Tere Bande Hum, ‘The Sunflower Song” by III A, ‘Hey Sharade Maa’ by III C and ‘Hum Tere Nanhe Pujari by III D. The students with their happy faces performed confidently on the stage. They were applauded by the audience.

A very short, interesting and informative video on ‘Good Manners’, ‘School Team’ and ‘Rhymes’ was shown to the students.

The teachers blessed and wished the students great success for their future endeavours.

 Orientation Programme 2018-19

‘A dream becomes a goal when action is taken toward its achievement’

Blue Bells Model School organised an orientation program for the parents of classes III and VI to X  on 31^st March 2017. The parents were apprised about the school curriculum, students’ achievement in academics as well as co-curricular activities, clubs, life skills’ training and code and conduct for the students. They were further elaborately updated regarding the evaluation policy of the school based on CBSE guidelines. Each and every subject was taken up separately for a better insight in the teaching methodology of the school faculty members. The parents were informed with the range of activities conducted in various subjects to make learning interesting and effective for learners. The parents were also made aware of all the earnest efforts taken by The Health and Wellness team under the able guidance of Dr. Alka Saxena, Deputy Director, Health and Wellness Blue Bells Group of Schools. The team focuses on developing the child holistically including the cognitive, social, intellectual, emotional and ethical aspects. The school apprised the parents that the institution has taken the initiative to start with the VMC classes to prepare the students of class IX for competitive exams in future. The session ended with parents-teachers interaction wherein parents’ queries were well attended by the faculty members.

PRIMARY WING - NEW SESSION 2018-19

“Welcoming the incoming beginners”

Blue Bells Model School began the new session with the new batch of Class III today. The students were welcomed with a ‘Tikka’ as they entered the premises. The jubilant parents were happy to see their children in the new building. The respective teachers gathered their students. To evoke the blessings of the divine, a havan was performed to give an auspicious start to the new session.

The students were overjoyed and happy to meet their new teachers. They interacted with each other after proceeding towards their respective classrooms. They introduced themselves to their teachers sharing their likes and dislikes and were excited to know about the activities they would perform in the school. It was an indeed a wonderful beginning that brought smiles on the young faces.

Our revered Director, Dr Saroj Suman Gulati, showered her blessings and wished them all the success in their life. Respected Principal, Ms Chandan Dhawan and Primary Wing Inachrge, Ms Meenakshi Malhotra, wished the students well for their successful journey in Blue Bells Model School.

INTERNATIONAL WOMEN’S DAY - COLLAGE ACTIVITY

“Women are the real architects of the society.”

To celebrate economic, cultural and political achievements of women, Women’s Day is celebrated all over the world annually on March 8. Collage making activity was conducted in Primary Wing today. The students made beautiful collage of famous women that reflected their achievement. The collage was based on women who have contributed to the society and have achieved success and appreciation in various fields like Ms Indira Gandhi, Ms Sunita Williams, Ms Sonia Gandhi and others. This activity enabled the students to gain knowledge on the famous women across the globe and enrich their treasure of knowledge.

ISA Project: “Peace Talks”

The students of Blue Bells Model School, Sector 4, Gurugram in collaboration with the students of Rosebud School, Kathmandu, Nepal undertook the ISA Project: “Peace Talks” to identify the essential elements of global peace and acquire an understanding of factors that contribute to cooperation/conflict within and between countries.

The project was an attempt to replace the old paradigm of war with the new paradigm of waging peace by persuasion and conciliation wherein the students of both the schools acted as the pioneers to do away with the boundaries of human understandings and bring awareness of a peaceful co-existence. For the successful fulfillment of this project, the students of both the schools shared notes on Skype, e-mails and Face book.

‘Unwrapping Learning Packages –Chapter 2017-18’

BLUE BELLS MODEL SCHOOL ORGANIZES INTEGRATED CARNIVAL ‘UNWRAPPING LEARNING PACKAGES –CHAPTER 2017-18’

“A mind that is stretched by a new experience unfolds new dimensions.”

Integrated learning focuses on making connections for students, creating a variety of relevant and meaningful activities and learning experiences that can be connected to real life. It combines and blends the learning outcomes from multiple topics into a series of effective, realistic and engaging activities. This helps the students learn and enhance multiple sets of skills and use the resources to expedite the learning process. Blue Bells is the platform that empowers the students and strengthens them to perform to the best of their abilities. ‘Unwrapping Learning Packages-chapter 2017-18’, a carnival was organized by the Primary Wing of Blue Bells Model School, Sector 4 Gurgaon to showcase their creativity.

The event was inaugurated by honourable Director Ma’am, Dr Suman Gulati, Blue Bells Group of Schools. She unveiled the mascot, ‘Curato…Creating Learning Miracles.’ The mascot which wore a hat having six different colours signified different skills enhanced and tools that they can apply. Ma’am also appreciated the concept and was enthralled by the display of activities by the students.

The carnival was conceptualized by the Learning and Development center ‘The Learning Space’ under the skillful guidance of Ma’am Soumya Gulati, Deputy Director Academic Development and Innovations. She engaged herself in the activities performed by the students and appreciated the efforts of the students.

Hands on experiments, Robotics presentation, THOTS, games, art and craft and other cultural events comprising of Enactment of story, Nakkad Natak, live singing and dances by the students were at the apex of the carnival.

“Experiential learning more than anything else, improves our chances of building better lives”. ‘Unwrapping learning packages’ gave a platform to the students of Primary Wing to unravel the deeper and fuller understanding of their own experience. The expressive corner Elixir: ‘Find Your Essence’ was created by the Health &Wellness team under the guidance of Dr. Alka Saxena , Deputy Director, Health & Wellness, Blue Bells Group of schools.

The Health &Wellness corner added fervor to the event by imparting a thoughtful mindset and a new outlook to parents. An overview of the Health & Wellness programme was summarized on the display boards where it showcased the glimpse of various activities and events for students, parents and teachers under the programme. These boards displayed in the gallery walk were appreciated by the onlookers. Inspirational and thought provoking Movies by school cinema was projected as part of the Value Education programme. The movie helped the parents to understand that it is extremely important to acknowledge the different values, life skills and emotions in order to have a holistic approach towards life. The parents appreciated the students’ performance. The students dressed as mascots drew the parents’ attention during the event. The parents participated with full zeal and vigour in the different activities like “Jump to it”, My Healthy Plate” and “Find the hidden message”. These activities reflected in- house teaching methodologies. The corner left an impact on the parents that it is possible to express the reality of life in its true essence.

The ICT corner, under the able guidance of Ma’am Anshuka Aneja - Deputy Director I T, Blue Bells Group of Schools, arranged an array of hands on activities for the parents. They had enlightening moments as the students explained about Tux Paint drawing tools. They were quizzed about the computer concepts and questions based on the ongoing themes. Games created by students in scratch were much appreciated by them.

A few items like cakes, muffins, pizzas were on sale and the money collected would be given as donation as part of the COP-community outreach program of the school.

Respected Principal, Ma’am C. Dhawan, Middle Wing Incharge, Ma’am Anshu Mallika and Primary Wing Incharge, Ma’am Meenakshi Malhotra, admired students’ efforts for putting up a grand show.

There was 100 percent participation of the students. Parents flocked in large numbers. It was a proud moment for them to see the learning of their little ones come alive on such a big platform. The carnival was indeed a great show put up by young Blue Bellians.

ANNUAL SPORTS MEET -PRIMARY WING

“Champions keep playing and get it right as they have a desire, a dream and a vision to win.”

The Annual Sports Meet of Blue Bells Model School, Primary Wing was held today. The students who participated in different events were felicitated and appreciated for their victory. The event categories included Flat Race, Relay Race and Fun Races like Balloon Burst, Jump Your Count, Hoola Hoop, Fill your Cones, Pass The Tunnel and Ready For School, which were organised for the students.

There was a lot of excitement and cheer from the audience. The competitors displayed great sportsman spirit and team spirit while they played the team games.

Principal, Ms Chandan Dhawan Middle Wing Incharge, Ma’am Anshu Mallika and Primary Wing Incharge, Ma’am Meenakshi Malhotra awarded the students with medals and encouraged all the students to participate in sports activities.

‘Blue Bells Organises a Grand Farwell ‘La DESPEDIDA for class XII’

To make the journey of school memorable and worth cherishing, the students of class XI of Blue Bells Model School, Sec 4, Gurgaon hosted a farewell function ‘LA DESPEDIDA-Glory Be To You’ for the students of class XII on 3^rd February 2018.The august occasion commenced with the welcome speech delivered by Ms. Chandan Dhawan, Principal of the school followed with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp wrapped with the chanting of shloka. The day witnessed great elation and jollity with an array of fascinating cultural presentations to entertain the out-going students. A speech on School Life was delivered by Yashika Sachdeva, the Head Girl and Lakshay Vohra, the Head Boy.A song medley, group dance, crazy games ‘Clever Charades’, and ‘Explain the Picture’ and ramp walk brightened the whole atmosphere and added life to the revelry. A duet by Abdul Samad and Navanshu earned everyone’s appreciation. A video presentation ‘Yaade Bemissal’ warmed everyone’s heart. A questionnaire round was conducted to confer titles to XII class student Ananya Srivastava was crowned as Ms. Blue Bells Model School and Anirudh Kadian as Mr. Blue Bells Model School. The investiture ceremony was organised to delegate the duties and responsibilities to newly appointed 11 council members in order to involve them in day-to-day functioning of the school. The newly appointed Head Boy,Jaskaran Singh, Head Girl, Neha Sarkar, Health and Wellness Ambassador Manya Jhamb and Sports Captain Tushar Gupta expressed their willingness to shoulder their duties with earnestness and diligence. The old Council Members congratulated the new Council Members and honoured them with the badges. The ceremony ended with the vote of thanks by Neha Sarkar.

Blue Bells Celebrates Republic Day and Annual Sports Meet ‘Athletasia 2018’

Celebration gains depth and dignity when it has a tinge of sanctity and sacredness. With this virtuous thought, Blue Bells Model School, Sector-4, Gurugram celebrated 69th Republic Day to mark the iconic moment of Indian history when India's constitution came into being declaring the country as an Independent Republic Nation. On this auspicious occasion, the Annual Sports Day ‘Athletasia2018’ was organized. The day’s proceedings commenced with the hoisting of the National Flag  by Dr. Saroj Suman Gulati, Director Blue Bells Group of schools. March past by different houses and NCC cadets lent a spectacular sight and the Director took the salute. The oath was taken by March Past Platoons including NCC cadets. The torch ceremony enhanced the spirit of the day’s celebration symbolizing harmony, peace and benevolence. Kuhu Singh delivered the welcome speech glorifying the significance of Republic Day and highlighting the importance of games and sports in students’ life. The group song expressing students’ patriotic feelings touched everyone’s heart and soul. The enthusiastic students of Economically Weaker Section (EWS) gripped the attention of the audience through their Aerobic-Zumba presentation. Dr. Saroj Suman Gulati addressed the students of the school stating the importance of games and sports and affirmed that we should promise our motherland that we should wholeheartedly contribute to enrich and preserve our precious heritage, our culture and our valuable treasure. The Meet was then officially declared open by the Director Dr. Saroj Suman Gulati. The students participated and exhibited their zest and passion in various sports events like 100m, 200m, 400m and 800m races for boys and girls, 4x100m relay race with flag,100m one legged race. Pearl Babbar of class IX delivered a speech on the importance and value of Republic Day. A Zumba and Yoga presentation by the Primary Wing students rapt the attention of the spectators. A street play on fundamental rights and duties was staged by the students of Middle and senior Wings. A classical group dance made the audience spellbound. Dr. Saroj Suman Gulati felicitated the winners of various sports events by giving away the medals. The vote of thanks was proposed by Anwesha Sinha. The daylong event proved the students’ profound interest in sports and their devotion and commitment towards their nation.
