With this thought students of Blue Bells Model School conducted a special

assembly on *National Energy Conservation Day*  which is observed every year on 14th December to promote the idea of energy conservation. It is also a day for building up awareness

regarding climate change, energy efficiency and frugality in energy use. The

students spoke about the importance of energy conservation and focussed on to

save it for future usage. They also talked about the measures which should be

implemented to conserve energy as saving energy is the need of the hour.

They enacted, danced, and sang a song with the help of which they motivated everyone.

In the end they pledged for the whole hearted

commitment towards energy conservation. Our wing In-charge ma’am- Mrs. Pallavi Sinha empowered and encouraged the students to be super energy heroes and appreciated them for their performance.

Industrial visit to Honda-Manesar

Unlocking the Engine of Knowledge: Navigating the Realms of Industry at Honda Factory

In pursuit of enriching academic experiences, 140 enthusiastic Grade X students embarked on a transformative journey to the Honda Factory at IMT Manesar on December 5, 2023.This immersive visit served as a bridge, seamlessly connecting the theoretical foundations acquired in classrooms to the dynamic and intricate realities of industrial landscapes. The excursion, pulsating with the hum of machinery and the precision of assembly lines, granted students an invaluable first-hand encounter with the operations, processes, and cutting-edge technologies employed in the fabrication of two-wheelers.

The Honda Factory tour provided a rare glimpse into the synergy between theory and practice, elucidating the symbiotic relationship between academic knowledge and its real-world applications. This transformative experience not only widened their perspectives but also fuelled their aspirations, propelling them towards a future where knowledge is not merely acquired but lived.

ASTRONOMY SESSION

Galactic Explorers: Journeying Through the Universe with Our Young Astronomers!

"The Solar System: where each planet tells its own story in the cosmic tale of endless wonder."

With the aim to actively engage learners in the field of astronomy and celestial world, Astronomy sessions are regularly held in the school by Space Explorers The session “The Magical Moon” for Classes III -V was majestical in which the students learnt about the different Phases of moon, its surface and craters, planets and Solar System They also understood how these features were formed with the help of hands-on Lunar crater making activity. The student also learnt about how laser light is used while setting the telescope to observe the celestial objects. Their excitement knew no bounds to observe the Moon and different planets through a telescope. It was like taking a sky tour and gathering information about various constellations, bright stars and planets. The students were also given a handbook that contained details of telescope and details about the structure of Moon.

The captivating workshop, the second session titled "The Magnificent Family of the Sun” led specific focus on the sun and its celestial companions. The workshop commenced with an overview of the solar system, highlighting the position of the sun as the central, radiant force. Students were introduced to the planets, their order, and their unique characteristics.

To reinforce the concepts, the workshop incorporated hands-on activities such as solving puzzles based on planets and creating solar system models. Students actively participated in these activities, enhancing their understanding through practical application. A question and answer session allowed students to clarify doubts and deepen their understanding of the workshop's content. This interactive element encouraged a spirit of curiosity and critical thinking among the participants.

Overall, the sessions were truly fantastic! It was a fun-based learning session for the students which they enjoyed thoroughly.

Women Empower Workshop with Gurugram Police

Blue Bells Model School successfully organized a Women's Safety Workshop on November 24, 2023, in collaboration with the Gurugram Police. The event, graced by dignitaries ACP Ms Surinder Kaur, Mr Mohit Sharma, Chief Warden, Civil Defence, Ms Mukesh SHO, and Mr Sanjeev, Sub Inspector, Sector 4 Post provided a platform for empowering the attendees with knowledge and skills crucial for their safety. The workshop was a commendable initiative by the school to foster a secure environment and promote awareness about women's safety. The workshop was conducted by Ms. Sangita Das, the Associate Director of the Board of Haryana Education, who shared valuable insights and guidance.

The participation of girls, female support staff, and teachers underscored the school's commitment to inclusivity and ensuring that a diverse range of individuals benefited from the workshop. The collaboration between the educational institution and law enforcement showcased a proactive approach to addressing societal concerns, making the event a meaningful contribution to the community.

SPECIAL ASSEMBLY-GURUNANK JAYANTI

A special assembly was organised by Grade III-B on November 29, 2023 on the auspicious occasion of Guru Nanak Dev Jayanti with great fervour and zeal.

The assembly commenced with shabad gaan –“Ek Onkaar “ along with depiction of Prabhat pheri by the students. Further the students shed light on the significance of celebrating Guru Purab.

Students also highlighted the preaching of the Guru Nanak through placards, carrying forward the message of humanity and community service.

The soulful shabad filled the atmosphere with serenity.

It was a wonderful day full of great learnings and fun.

Students gained important life lessons through his legacy and achievements with great pride, honour and respect. Primary Wing students also participated in various activities on account of Guru Nanak Jayanti.

PEER EDUCATORS’ INTRODUCTORY SESSION (2023-24)

At Blue Bells, we believe that nurturing the interconnected dimensions of values, life skills and wellness is essential in order to provide a wholesome education to children. Dr. Alka Saxena, Deputy Director (Health & Wellness), Blue Bells Group of Schools structured the Health &Wellness Programme with the strong vision of equipping the students with knowledge and awareness of their Health and Wellbeing thus ensuring a strong foundation of their childhood.

The Peer Educator Programme was launched by the Health & Wellness Team in the year 2015 which comprises of a Health & Wellness Ambassador from Class XII, a Peer Mentor from Class XI and 14 Peer Educators from Classes VI to X along with a Junior Health & Wellness Ambassador from the Primary Wing. These students are an integral part of the Student Council and are selected through a well-planned process. They play an active role by working as a bridge between mentors and pupils and also conduct especially designed sessions for the students along with Counsellors and Life Skills Facilitators. In furtherance of the vision, the Peer Educators for the Session 2023-24 were selected through a  structured  procedure comprising the

With the aim of giving an insight into the Health & Wellness Programme, and fostering a sense of teamwork, a joint Introductory Session for newly elected Peer Educators of Blue Bells Model School and Brahm Dutt Blue Bells Public School was organised on November 2, 2023, in the premises of BDBBPS. The session was presided over by Dr. Alka Saxena, Deputy Director, BBGS. The session was facilitated by Health & Wellness Ambassadors and Peer Mentors from both the schools. These emerging leaders led various activities with their teams and shared valuable insights on different topics. Together, they guided their peers to actively participate in discussions and encouraged them to express their opinions on relevant subjects.

Dr. Alka apprised the students about the Do's and Don’ts of Peer Educators  in a creative manner, providing them with valuable insights into their roles and be mindful while performing their duties. She elaborated on the responsibilities that come with the role. During the session, Ma'am not only briefed them on the key takeaways but also offered motivation for their future goals. She urged them to harness their capabilities and give their best in all their endeavors.

The session proved to be an enjoyable and enriching learning experience for all the students. They departed with cherished memories and newfound friendships, making it a memorable occasion for everyone involved.

FOUNDER'S DAY

Founder’s Day Celebration

Achieving success involves the bravery to nurture a dream and take bold steps to turn that dream into a reality. Keeping this vision at the forefront, Sri B.D. Gulati, Founder Chairman of BBGS with an unequivocal and whole-hearted dedication laid the foundation of Blue Bells Model School long back and ascended to the pinnacle in shaping the lives of countless number of young individuals. Blue Bells Model School commemorated its 44^th Founder’s Day with profound veneration and deep commitment towards the mission of the institution. Management members, former Principals of different branches of BBGS and senior ex-mentors graced the occasion with their benign presence.

To mark the glorious journey of the school, a hawan was arranged with the first rays of the dawn. The chanting of mantras to invoke the Almighty and seek his blessings set a divine ambience for the celebration. The school flag was unfurled and a cluster of balloons was released by Dr. Saroj Suman Gulati, the Director BBGS pledging in her heart to accomplish greater milestones each year.

 A special assembly was conducted to make the auspicious day worth cherishing. The celebration commenced with the Diya lighting followed by the rendition of an entrancingly choreographed group dance on the school song ‘Hum hain Blue Bells ki shaan…’. Ms. Alka Singh accorded a formal welcome to all the management members and the students by stating that each and every members of the school is immensely privileged to be the part of the institution and everyone ought to respectfully carry forward the rich legacy of the school. An orchestra presentation by the school students enthralled the gathering.

 Director ma’am unveiled the Coffee Table Book that encapsulated the essence of the school, a treasure trove of memories and milestones that have shaped Blue Bells’ path to excellence. The exquisite volume invited the audience to embark on a captivating journey, where the pages came alive with the stories, anecdotes, and photographs that have woven the tapestry of the school's heritage. The beautiful narration of the history of the school by Ms. Sonjuhi Khare and Vikas Sharma made all to revisit the memory lane and relive the yester years vividly and fondly. Director ma’am addressed the gathering and showered her blessings to her students and faculty members and wished the school to achieve brilliance in the realm of education.

Enhancing Financial Literacy: A Path to a Brighter Future!

Blue Bells Model School recently hosted an enlightening session on Financial Literacy and Mock Trading, in association with Shri Ram College of Commerce, Delhi University on 2^nd November 2023 in the school premises. This dynamic collaboration aimed to empower our students with essential financial knowledge and skills, and it was nothing short of a success! 

The SRCC team shared their expertise in financial markets, investment strategies, and the intricacies of trading, providing our students with practical insights into the financial world.  The event was a collaborative effort, orchestrated by our dedicated faculty and the organizing committee. Their hard work and commitment ensured a seamless and enriching learning experience for our students.  Ms Alka Singh, Principal expressed that this initiative reflects our commitment to equip students with the knowledge and skills they need to make wise financial decisions. Mr Mohammad Suhail added that early financial literacy is the key to financial independence and a secure future. 

 We extend our sincere appreciation to SRCC for this invaluable partnership and look forward to future collaborations to empower our students further.

World Students’ Day

In honour of the former President Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam's birthday, the Primary Wing students at Blue Bells Model School were engaged in diverse activities. Dr. Kalam, renowned as the Missile Man for his profound impact on the field of science, was reminisced by Grade V students who delivered a PowerPoint presentation highlighting his inventions and significant contributions to India. Grade IV students crafted miniature rocket models, while Grade III students designed bookmarks featuring inspirational quotes about being an ideal student.

These activities served as a heartfelt tribute to the esteemed scientist and leader.

CLASS VIII ASSEMBLY

"Girls can change the world. Let's support them, educate them, and give them the tools to succeed." - Malala Yousafzai

The students of class VIII C presented their class assembly on the theme of ‘International Girls Day’. The assembly aimed to raise awareness about the significance of the day and to inspire students to support the empowerment of girls. The assembly was conducted in the school auditorium and was attended by students, teachers, and staff members.

The students expressed themselves which testified the belief of the school, 'Education That Inspires Confidence'. The assembly had awe-inspiring thoughts, national, international and school news, reports, significance of the day and a thematic poem which not only enhanced their knowledge. The skit, dance and music presentation preserved the entertainment aspect of the assembly.

The Wing In-charge, Ms Anshu Mallika Kumar extended her appreciation to all the students for their hard work and commitment. The assembly closed on a beautiful note, "Empower a girl, transform a community, and change the world."

Together, we can make a difference and work towards a more inclusive and equitable world for all.
