World Book Day

World Book Day and Copyright Day is a celebration to promote the enjoyment of books and reading. Each year, on 23 April, celebrations take place all over the world to recognize the scope of books - a link between the past and the future, a bridge between generations and across cultures. It is rightly said that ‘Reading should not be presented to children as a chore, a duty. It should be offered as a gift.’. We at Blue Bells Model School believe in inculcating reading habit as an enjoyable activity and a learning experience for the students. To mark the importance of reading in the formative years of a student, Library week was celebrated. The students of Primary Wing did activities such as Book Butterfly, My Book Report and Story Elements reiterating the importance and impact of books in a student’s life.

Assembly Report “SAVE EARTH”

On April 20, 2023, the students of Class V D presented an assembly on theme "Save Earth." The purpose of this assembly was to create awareness among students about the importance of protecting our planet and how small steps can make a significant impact.

The assembly started with the school prayer, followed by the pledge and school song. Thereafter the ‘Thought of the Day about the Earth was presented by a student, which set the tone for the rest of the event. Then, the Principal addressed the students and emphasized the importance of taking care of our planet. 

After the Principal's speech, a few students came forward and shared their thoughts on the topic. They shared about various ways in which we can save the Earth, such as reducing waste, conserving water, planting trees, reducing energy consumption, and spreading awareness through song presentation and poetry. The assembly concluded with the Wing Incharge – Ms. Pallavi Sinha encouraging students to take responsibility and make a positive impact on the environment. Overall, the assembly was informative and engaging. It provided students with valuable information about the importance of saving the Earth and ways in which they can contribute to the cause. The assembly inspired students to take action and make a difference.

SAVE THE ENVIRONMENT AND THE GREEN WORLD

The occasion of Earth Day acts as a mindful reminder of the vulnerability of our planet and the significance of its preservation. The school observed Green Day on April 21, 2023, to continue spreading environmental awareness and to remember our Founder Chairman late Shri B.D. Gulati ji. The school enthusiastically observed Green Day by participating in a variety of events. Our stewards wished to preserve green space for a healthy world through Jingle writing, Presentations and Poster Making.

Bhajan Sandhya, a sincere homage to our respected Shri B.D. Gulati Sir, was organized to make the day unforgettable. Many songs of dedication were performed by the students and instructors. A sylvan environment infused with heavenly energy was generated by religious chants and hymns. The Blue Bells family honoured the great visionary and his dedication via these renditions, which will serve as an example to all people and future generations. Through the sky above, His enduring light illuminates us, guiding us down life's most difficult journeys.

Academic Award Ceremony ‘Felicitation’ Classes VI-IX & XI Session 2022-23

Remarkable accomplishment is always heralded by the preparedness to attain excellence. Blue Bellians have always striven persistently to prove their determination and prowess in every sphere of learning. To congratulate and honour the students who notched exceptional results in Class VI- IX and XI Session 2022-23, the Award Ceremony ‘Felicitation’ was hosted on 20th April, 2023. The occasion was graced by honourable Director, Dr. Saroj Suman Gulati, BBGS. The event commenced with the diya lighting followed by a soulful rendition of Saraswati Vandana by the school choir. A beautiful group dance lent an ambience of cheer and exuberance.

GRADE III_TALENT SHOW

 We, at Blue Bells Model School, believe in honing our students' talent by providing them an equal chance to take part in various events. The students of Grade III were given a unique platform to showcase their talent through Talent Hunt Show organized by Primary Wing. There were participants in all categories. They enthusiastically exhibited their talent by singing melodious songs, reciting heart-touching poems, narrating thought-provoking stories, and spell-bound dance performances. They confidently played musical instruments. Students were extremely confident, dedicated, and gave marvelous performances. Students energetically participated in this event and displayed their ability magnificently.

ROBOTICS DEMO SESSION

"There are an endless number of things to discover about robotics. A lot of it is just too fantastic for people to believe.” 

In pursuit of moving with technological advancement and making our students future ready, Blue Bells Model School, Sector 4, Gurgaon in collaboration with Vigyantram Technology launched Learning Programs for Robotics and Artificial Intelligence. This is a unique platform that allows students from Grade III to VIII to learn 21st century skills through classes run by expert trainers of Vigyantram. The resource person, Mr Gaurav familiarized the school students about different parts and equipment required to build robots. The students will develop various projects and get opportunities to showcase their projects at different levels. The demo session mainly focused on encouraging school children in the field of robotics and automation. The students were introduced to different types of robots and their applications. Live demonstration of robots like:  remote cars, drones, robots were shown to the students. The demo session generated a lot of interest and it is an excellent exposure to students who are inclined towards science and technology to sharpen their skills. 

Assembly on Ambedkar Jayanti & Baisakhi – Class VI A

On Tuesday, April 11, 2023, students of Class VI A conducted an assembly to celebrate Baisakhi and Ambedkar Jayanti. Baisakhi is a significant day in the Indian calendar as it marks the Sikh New Year and is also celebrated as a spring harvest festival. The students started the assembly by sharing news and thoughts, followed by a song that captured the spirit of Baisakhi. Dressed in bright and colourful attire, the students highlighted the importance and significance of the festival through their performance. A speech was delivered on the life journey of Dr. B. R. Ambedkar, highlighting his significant role in the making of our constitution. The students also recited a beautiful poem ‘Written in March’ by William Wordsworth, which added to the overall celebratory mood of the occasion. To conclude the assembly, the students presented a well-synchronized band performance that left the audience feeling uplifted and energized. The Middle Wing Incharge, Ms. Anshu Malika Kumar and the Class Incharge, Ms. Vidhi Airun, also addressed the audience and threw light on the importance of being humble and disciplined in order to be a true leader.

Overall, the assembly was a wonderful way to celebrate Baisakhi and Ambedkar Jayanti and showcased the students' talents and creativity. It was a great opportunity for them to learn more about the festival and share their knowledge with their fellow students and teachers.

Chat Generative Pre-Trained Transformer Session

The School education has a symbiotic relationship with teacher education as teachers are the frontline providers of quality education. In sync, an interactive workshop on Skill Enhancement & Educators Development of teachers: Chat GPT, Chat Generative Pre-Trained Transformer was organized under the flagship of Ms Anshuka Aneja, Deputy Director , IT Department , Blue Bells Group of Schools on 8th April 2023 in the school premises . Based on this, the training program was conducted to uplift the skills of the teachers in the classroom. The resource person, Ms Swati Nagar, ICT Trainer from St. Xavier's Senior Secondary School briefed the teachers about the importance of the AI Tool. She told that as an AI language model ChatGPT can provide several ways to assist teachers like providing lesson plans, creating assessments, assisting with grading etc.

Overall, ChatGPT can be a valuable tool for teachers, helping them save time and effort while enhancing the learning experience for their students.

CAREER COUNSELLING SESSION

The path to success is to take massive, determined action.

With a plethora of career options available in the contemporary times, the role of a career guidance becomes indispensable. In sync, Blue Bells Model School organized a Career Counselling Session for the students of Grades XI-XII on Tuesday, 4^th April 2023 in JD Hall of the school.

The session was conducted by Mr Abhishek Gupta, alumnus and founder of Asia’s largest parent, student and educator community - High School Moms and International Alliance of Counsellors and Educators and Ms Anjali Anand Seth, Associate Vice President - Intl Admissions & Strategic Advisor to the President, Wesleyan College ·

The session aimed to equip young minds with the skills of life while CAARVEing, Collaborate to Acquire Authentic, Real & Reliable information with a Vision to Excel. The resource persons emphasized that one must have in-depth knowledge of the choices lest one might end-up in a career that is not tailored for them. It is common among students going through this transition phase to get influenced by misinformation and end up making wrong decisions. They urged the students not to make decisions based on peer pressure. To provide students opportunities to engage and participate in activities which can enhance their analytical and critical skills, Mr Abhishek Gupta, Founder of High School Moms announced lucrative internships for the school children. Ms Anjali Seth, Associate Vice President, Wesleyan College, Georgia told that the college provides international entrance scholarships which support the young leaders in accessing high-quality education.

 Students were made aware of the different options in profession and courses they could pursue based on the subject choices they would make. Queries raised by the students were addressed by the resource persons. The Principal, Ms Alka Singh addressed the students and encouraged them to pursue their interests and urged them to work sincerely to achieve their goals. The session was immensely enriching and interesting.
