Blue Bellians celebrated Christmas on December 24, 2019  with great pomp, gaiety and devotion. The celebration began with a thought that highlighted the glory of omniscient, omnipotent and omnipresent Lord who has transcended our lives into an ecstatic experience to cherish forever.

 The students presented a well synchronized programme where there was perfect amalgamation of traditional and modern methods of celebration including talk, skit, significance of the day and carols. An Inter-House Carol singing competition added to the festive fervour. Little ones from the primary wing dressed up as Santas spread joy with their cheerful presence. The entire day was dedicated to reiterate our faith in one universal power governing all along with  a pledge to spread happiness so that the world becomes a wonderful place to live and rejoice life.

On behalf of the Director and Management, the Principal of the school wished everyone Merry Christmas and Happy New Year It was a mesmerizing experience for all.

GANIT WEEK

‘Mathematics is the most beautiful and most powerful creation of the human spirit.’

Pure Mathematics is in its way, the poetry of logical ideas. It compares the most diverse phenomena and discovers the secret analogies that unite them.If mathematics is to be understood widely, one needs to emphasize its elegance and its applications. To enjoy Mathematics and to pay tribute to the great Mathematician Sir S. Ramanujam, Blue Bells Model School organized GANIT Week – an Intra School Mathematics Fest for the students of Classes III-IX from 16th-19thDecember 2019. Numerous activities were designed by the Mathematics Faculty members for the students so that the hidden potential hibernating in them gets a platform along with honing their logical reasoning, problem solving and critical thinking skills. An array of interesting games on Odd Even Kho – Kho, MathsTambola,Treasure Hunt,Cartoon Making, Caricature of Mathematicians and Poster Making were designed for classes VI to VIII. The students of Primary Wingtook keen interest in Origami and Flash Card Race.Students also participated in a Quiz hosted by Mr. Rahul Goel, Assistant Manager and Academic Trainer from NIIT, Gurugram.TeamDecimal comprising of Vaibhav, and Aditya, Harshit and Aadityawas the winning team from the Middle Wing and Team Integers with Atharv, Aaditya and Kartik as contestants was the winner team from Primary Wing.An informative talk on the famous mathematician, ‘S. Ramanujan’ and ‘Maths in Daily Life’ was presented by PrasidhiSachdeva of class IX. A rhythmical rap and a mesmerizing group dance enthralled the audience.The week long activities indeed exposed the students to the latest tools in mathematics and were encouraged to implement the philosophy of imagine, investigate and interact.

Each and every day of life is filled with a unique learning experience that makes our existence worth. Human life incorporates learning, we learn from our surroundings and environment and this enriching phase makes us a wholesome personality.

The staff members of Blue Bells Model School rejoiced themselves in the lap of Mother Nature at Sultanpur Fun Village on December 14, 2019 . The trip was organized by the Management of the school. Apart from relaxation and enjoyment, the picnic also aimed at building up team spirit among the members of the staff. It was one of the endeavours to bring the teaching faculty of the school closer which will further result in better understanding and coordination.

The journey to the Fun Village was an enjoyable one, both due to the exquisite village scenery on the way and the dancing and singing in the bus by the teachers. The teachers actively participated in various adventure activities -Music and DJ, Burma bridge, Commando Net, Tyre Wall, Badminton & Volleyball etc.

The outing refreshed and rejuvenated all and has left indelible imprint in the heart of all the members with the memories that will be cherished forever.

150 TH BIRTH ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION OF MAHATMA GANDHI

BLUE BELLS MODEL SCHOOL PROUDLY PARTICIPATED IN THE 150TH BIRTH ANIVERSARY CELEBRATION OF MAHATMA GANDHI

Blue Bells Model School has dedicated this year on the single nobler vision , “ BLUE BELLS FOR WORLD PEACE”. All the activities and events of the school  through out the year were interwoven around this theme. In pursuance of this mission , the  students  attended  the lecture series on ‘Peace and Non Violence’ to help them understand the  necessity of peace for the survival of human race.

The Lecture series was in  continuation of the celebration of 150^th Birth Anniversary of the Father of Nation. Gandhi Smriti Peace and Non Violence Lecture 1 was given by His eminence Professor Ven Samdhong Rinpoche,  Eminent Buddhist scholar and Prof. (Dr) Kesava Rao Vurrakula,  Vice -Chancellor, NURSL, Ranchi on December 8,2019 at Gandhi Smriti 5,Tees January Marg New Delhi-110011.

The students  had an interactive session with his eminence Professor Ven Samdhong Rinpoche, Chairman of the Tibetan Parliament-in-Exile for over a decade and is currently the first directly elected Kalon Tripa (Prime Minister) of the Tibetan Government-in-Exil.  It was an enriching experience for the school team. 

Human Rights Day Celebration

“Kindness Is The Best Form Of Humanity”

Human Rights Day is observed every year on 10 December — the day the United Nations General Assembly adopted, in 1948: it was a milestone in proclaiming the inalienable rights which everyone is inherently entitled to as a human being.

To inculcate the value of making positive a change a special assembly on Human Rights Day was conducted by Class IIIC on December 09, 2019. The students presented a talk on the relevance of the day. They also shared basic Human Rights like   Fair and Free World,  Responsibility,  Freedom of Thought and Freedom of Expression.

The assembly concluded with a mesmerizing dance presentation on the song “ Kisi ki muskarahaton pe ho nisaar”.  The message about how our rights are a foundation of sustainable development and peaceful societies was conveyed beautifully through the presentation. 

PLOGGING DAY/COMBINED CLEANLINESS DRIVE BY BLUE BELLS MODEL SCHOOL NCC CADET

CLEANLINESS: EMBLEM OF PURITY OF MIND

We, at Blue Bells Model School believe in serving society through social service and community development programme. Our NCC cadets participated in Swachhata Pakhwara , which is been observed from December  01 to 15 December  2019, by NCC at National level. During the fortnight each day is dedicated to a specific activity which contributes toward cleanliness drive. December  07,2019 was observed as PLOGGING Day, The  NCC cadets of the school along with others 300 cadets from various Schools of Gurugram 5Haryana Battalion participated in this activity. The rally begin from Govt. Sr. Sec. School Gurugram Cantt, To City bus stand and culminated at unit location. Col. Ajay Kumar (Commanding Officer 5 Haryana Battalion NCC) motivated the cadets for this initiative. He stressed that if we want our surrounding to be clean, we all need to our share of work. The aim of this activity was to create an awareness at grass root level. Every effort towards cleanliness counts. These small contribution from every individual can make a huge difference. Without support from the society any initiative taken by the Government will not achieved the desired result. The cadets promised themselves to stop use of plastic and littering and also motivate others to do the same.

OUTDOOR EXCURSION TO MANGOLI : EXPERIENTIAL LEARNING IN THE LAP OF NATURE

“Reading about nature is fine, but if a person walks in the woods and listens carefully, he can learn more than what is in books, for they speak with the voice of God.”

A trip to Mangoli, Pahadi Vibes, organized by Blue Bells Model School for the students of classes VI – VII from December1 to December 3, 2019 with an idea to create a unique combination of fun and learning. It was a successful attempt to sensitize Blue Bellians towards nature and to re-create their accord with the cosmos. The scintillating beauty of the camp, the melodious sound of the chirping birds, and relaxing natural tents left the students speechless. All were astonished by the serene sunrise and sunset view in the laps of mountain and also enjoyed trekking while appreciating the scenic natural beauty. Students enjoyed various low rope adventure activities followed by Abseiling, Valley traverse and Tree Jumaring. They were apprised about safety rules to be followed. Team building games and activities like Magi Making Competition and Bone Fire dance with Music and Lights  added to their delight . To enhance their understanding, a discussion was initiated highlighting the importance of keeping the environment clean and green. The students gave strokes to their experience as well as expressed the same in their own words. They enjoyed amongst themselves, shared and relished the snacks and sumptuous meal, and had a great time together. Overall, the trip was an opportunity for the students to know more about their surroundings and importance of nature.  The trip was  a riveting experience for everyone.

ADVENTURE COUPLED WITH TEAM BUILDING : A TRIP TO SURSINGHDHAR

Choosing disasters, triumphs, challenges, impossible odds

Testing ourselves over and again-----“

To create awareness among the students about the pristine beauty of Nature and to arouse in them the spirit of enquiry and adventure, a three-day long adventure camp was organized to Sursinghdhar, a picturesque place in the lap of Nature, on the foothills of the Himalayan Range from December 1 to December 3, 2019. Thirty five  students accompanied by three  teachers embarked on this exciting excursion.  The journey to  Haridwar and further to Sursinghdhar  left an indelible imprint in the heart of the members to be cherished forever . The scenic and picturesque beauty of the place captivated the tour members enroute on this remarkable sojourn.

The students were actively involved in myriad fascinating activities like Rappelling, Tree Zumari , Zip lining/ flying fox and Mountain Climbing. They felt exhilarated by participating in various team-building activities in the evening involving a unique blending of both physical courage and mental stamina. The exceptional beauty ,  the refreshing and virgin appeal of the place registered a venerable place in the memories of all . Finally the tour members returned to school at around midnight, rejuvenated and re-vitalized, at the end of an invigorating and memorable experience.

‘‘LA FÊTE DE LA LANGUE’--A FESTIVAL OF LANGUAGES

‘You live a new life for every language you speak.’

It is rightly said that knowledge of languages is a doorway to wisdom. A different language is a different vision of life which contributes in transcending barriers and strengthening emotional bindings across humanity. In an effort to celebrate the grandeur of languages and appreciate them in their varied moods and genres, Blue Bells Model School organized ‘La Fete De La Langue’-A Festival of Languages on November 29 & 30, 2019 under the aegis of GPSC. The event was an earnest effort to expand horizons and comprehend the galore of languages. Ms. Soumya Gulati, Deputy Director, Academic Development and Innovation BBGS, graced the occasion as the chief guest.The two-day mega event commenced with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp with the accompaniment of shloka recital and a prayer ensembleof all the religions. The Principal of the school accorded a warm welcome to the august gathering emphasizing the key role that language plays in one’s life. An energetic and vibrant rap on A-Z of words kindled a beaming spark to the grand celebration. Ms. Soumya Gulati declared the event openin the midst of talented and over enthusiastic contestants.

Day one witnessed the ardent competitors from 20 prestigious schools from across Gurugram passionately participating in events like Shravan &Chitrankan, NitiShatak Shloka Gayan, Grammothon- Grammar Relay Race and Trans Occidentales- East Meets West. Students from grades III to VI from the various schools showcased their multifaceted prowess in the events and earned a huge applause from the spectators.

Day 2 unfolded a different chapter for language fans who fervently participated in a myriad of competitions like Les Jingles Publicitaires Advertisement with Jingle Making, Lingua Arte’ Self Composed Poetry with Illustration, Dram-E-Tale Theatrical Presentation on Short Stories, Chaupiyan Enactment from Ramcharitmanas, , Contra Opinion, Blog Writing, Unleash the Flash’ : On The Spot Theme Photography and Click -A -Story ( Story Board). Students from all the schools wholeheartedly took part in all the events and astounded the jury members through their multidimensional expertise in all the fields.

Mr. Deepak Vohra, the special adviser to the Prime Minister of India, Lesotho and Guinea-Bissau was the Chief Guest for the valedictory ceremony. A dance drama presentation on ‘Origin Of Languages’wrapped the gala event and set the mood of the achievers to get felicitated by the Chief Guest.The kaleidoscopic glimpses of the various venues were mirrored through a Power Point Presentation. The Overall Trophy was won by Blue Bells Public School Sec-10 Gurugram .Mr. Deepak Vohra addressed the students and initiated a spark of being proud as an Indian . The moment of the Closing –cum - Valedictory Ceremony became momentous when Mr. Ashish Gulati, Vice Chairman , Blue Bells Group of School blessed all with his radiant presence. ‘LA FÊTE DE LA LANGUE’-A Festival Of Languages set the ball rolling .

“Unity in Diversity is the Credo of Our Nation”

The National Integration Day is celebrated on 19^th November to mark the birth anniversary of first female Prime Minister of India Smt. Indira Gandhi. A special assembly was conducted in the Primary Wing by class III B to mark National Integration Day on November 25, 2019. The students of class III B presented a talk on the life of Smt. Indira Gandhi. They also presented a mesmerizing folk dance spreading the message of Unity. The assembly was appreciated by all who attended it.
