Teacher's Day Celebration

‘Playing a critical role in learning and development, teachers are the ones under the guidance of whom students’ lives get shaped and transformed.’

A teacher’s purpose is not to create students in his/ her own image, but to develop students who can create their own image. Besides parents, it is the teacher who works meticulously to polish a student, understand his needs and work towards his progress with pride. In the true sense, they are the builders of the Nation. To express gratitude and reverence towards teachers, the students of Class XII of Blue Bells Model School Sec-4 Gurugram organized a special assembly embellished with games and cultural presentation on the occasion of Teacher’s Day. The programme commenced on a ceremonial note with the lightning of the lamp. Dr. Saroj Suman Gulati, the Director of BBGS graced the pious occasion with her benign presence. Riya Chopra of Class XII highlighted the importance of teachers’ role in students’ life. Teachers enthusiastically participated in the Musical Chair and Ramp Walk. The Director of the school glorified the efforts of the students and appreciated the teachers for their relentless endeavours.

The teacher students of class XII involved their juniors in various games and discussions. Students sought teachers’ blessings on this auspicious day. Teachers were indeed touched by the warm gesture made by all the students of the school as they made each teacher feel special on this day.

TEACHER’S DAY CELEBRATION: MARVELOUS MAVENS - A TRIBUTE TO ALL GURUS

This illustrious saying of India’s missile man,  resonates in the minds of every individual. The quote epitomizes the influence of teachers on every individual’s mind and the society as a whole. Standing just next to the parents in the lead, teachers are truly an indispensable part of everyone’s life. They mould and nourish individual’s talent and their capabilities.

To celebrate and honor the selfless contribution of the teachers, a special assembly “Marvelous Mavens” was conducted by Class IV B and  Students’ Council  members of the Primary Wing on September 04, 2019.

Students accorded a warm welcome to the teachers . The assembly commenced with a heart-touching rendition  “Teachers we know you care …teachers we know you are there …”. The song was followed by a brief talk on Dr Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan and the significance of Teacher’s Day .  A classical dance presentation showcasing Gurus of different eras added to the celebration spirit . The icing on the cake was a  Student-Teacher ramp walk depicting the bond of respect, understanding and affection between the students and teachers.

Speaking on the occasion, the school Principal Ms Alka Singh congratulated all for putting up a great show.

National Sports Day

NATIONAL SPORTS DAY CELEBRATED WITH A PLEDGE – ‘COMMIT TO BE FIT’ AT BLUE BELLS MODEL SCHOOL , SECTOR 4, GURUGRAM  

 

“The four S’s of sports training are: speed, strength, skill and spirit; and an amalgamation of these helps in building self-confidence which further empowers the children to face all challenges in life. At Blue Bells, we believe in giving adequate importance to sports and games so that our young buds develop their Kinesthetic skills which will further  instill self - discipline , camaraderie and team spirit . In pursuance of this  vision , the school  celebrated National Sports Day on August 29, 2019

 

 Fun Races were organized for the students of Primary Wing. The students exhibited great enthusiasm to participate in the races and learnt about the importance of the day. To internalize the learning, a Role Play on different Sports Icons was also organized and the students came dressed up as famous Sports personalities and briefed everyone about their achievements. As a gesture to commit themselves to healthy and harmonious growth, ‘Fitness Pledge’ was administered by the students on ‘Choose to be Fit’ as advocated by CBSE.

 

Speaking on the occasion, the  Principal of the school  urged the Blue Bellians to make Games and Sports , an integral part of their life as it not only leads to physical fitness but also is required to maintain good mental health which is pertinent for holistic development.

JANMASHTAMI CELEBRATION

“Rejoice the birth of the Lord,As He is the Omnipotent and Omniscient force that can change the world.”

Celebrations are the crest of our culture . It gives us the opportunity of sharing our similarities and rejoice without discriminating with respect to caste, creed, culture, religion, sect, communities and languages. To root the students to our rich cultural heritage, Janmashtami was celebrated in the school with utmost zeal and enthusiasm. A special Morning Assembly, “Blissful Celebrations ,was organized on August 26, 2019 by the Primary Wing. The spirituality in the Assembly rendered a divine spell and everybody was taken by the beauty and freshness it imparted. The assembly began with a soulful rendition "Shri Krishna Govind Hare Murari’ by the School choir . A Dance Drama showcasing the glimpses of Lord Krishna’s life was the show-stopper wherein the students dressed as Lord Krishna and Radha enthralled everyone with their rhythmic performance . They were adorned in their ethnic attire which drew applause and appreciation of everyone. Several activities were conducted to mark the occasion and the students decorated “Maakhan Matki’s”, flutes and head gears. Speaking on the occasion, Principal Ma’am congratulated the students for a wonderful presentation and urged all to be the real custodians of rich Indian culture and take forward the glory of India.   Click here to view more pictures.

Coffee with Parents

'RELIVING THE SUCCESS SAGA'- PARENT ORIENTATION AND SCHOOL TOUR AT

 BLUE BELLS MODEL SCHOOL, SECTOR 4, GURUGRAM.

Keeping in mind the  holistic growth of the child and the myriad challenges that child has to face in the evolving educational mindscape, Blue Bells Model  School, Sector 4, Gurugram , organized 'Coffee with Parents' : A School Preview and Open Interactive Session with Parents seeking admission in our School on August 24,2019.

 

This was one such wonderful and unique endeavour of the school to invite parents for an Open Interactive Session to understand the teaching methodology  which would help them to support their child's learning at school. 

 

The parents were introduced to the illustrious mentors who have  always  been instrumental in taking innovation and learning together at Blue Bells Model School. They were also briefed about  a wide range of school initiatives from safety to teacher-students ratio , transport , co-curricular  to mindfulness and more!

 

The parents were given a sneak preview of activities and were also apprised about the Theme –based Integrated Learning Approach. Parents were then taken for a school tour to acquaint them with the students’ learning environment. They appreciated the modern and advanced outlook of the Management in terms of facilities and academic initiatives of the school.

 

The queries of the parents were addressed by the School Leadership Team and their happy faces gave a reflection of their  strong connect with the school.

Raksha Bandhan Celebration

STRENGTHENING THE  THREAD OF LOVE & COMPASSION  : RAKSHA BANDHAN CELEBRATED UNIQUELY AT  BLUE BELLS MODEL  SCHOOL, SECTOR 4, GURUGRAM

“Festivals paint the canvas of life with splash of colours that rejuvenate us to eternity.”

As an act of salutation and respect to the armed forces of our country , Raksha Bandhan……..A festival of threads, a day of celebrating fraternal ties, symbolizing the trust and affection that a brother and sister share was uniquely celebrated in the school .

 The students made beautiful Rakhis and a packet of these handmade Rakhis was sent to the valiant soldiers fighting hard to keep us safe and sound.  They wrote heartwarming messages as a token of gratitude to the unfathomed support and commitment of our army . This was an honest endeavour of the students to salute the commitment of these patriots. Nature has given us many precious gifts, our students also acknowledged this love by tying rakhis to the trees to assert their resolve of saving Mother Nature on August 9, 2019  in the school campus.

With the motive of spreading the message of universal brotherhood and to spread the note of India’s cultural base, unity in diversity, enthusiastic students from Blue Bells Model School visited NCC Camp and tied Rakhi, a sacred bond of love to these brave sons of the motherland. They showcased a deep bond and concern for the wellbeing of these officers who deprive themselves of all the comforts to give us a peaceful and comfortable life

The celebration involved a pledge and commitment of life-time practice of moral, cultural and spiritual values to be inculcated for harmony and peaceful coexistence.

Cleanliness Campaign

BLUE BELLS MODEL SCHOOL NCC CADETS INITIATED CLEANLINESS CAMPAIGN

 

Small steps to bring a revolutionary change…

 

The young generation of our country can lead our nation to scale greater heights through dedication, determination  and conviction. To raise awareness on the significance of cleanliness, the NCC cadets of Blue Bells Model School, Gurugram took the initiative to  maintain  cleanliness in the vicinity of their school. The students’ endeavour in cleaning the vicinity area – Ram Park  on August 16, 2019 , set a perfect example for the onlookers that small contribution from everyone can bring a sea change and make our country look cleaner. It also  conveyed the message that cleanliness is most important for physical well-being and a healthy environment.

 

The dutiful and sincere students of the school took the mission Swachh Bharat Abhiyan a step forward to achieve  the goal of 'Clean India'  which was launched by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi on October 2, 2014.  Through this noble act, the students proved that they are indeed the torchbearers of future India.

COMMUNITY OUTREACH PROGRAMME  - VISIT TO DIKSHA ( NGO)

‘Cheerfulness is what greases the axles of the World.’

 

Education provides prolificacy of thought, abundance of illustration with a vigour to challenge and achieve the set goals of life with conviction and commitment. In sync with the same vision ,the school organized a visit to Diksha School on August 16, 2019 as a part of Community Outreach Progamme .

 Diksha is a non-profit school in PalamVihar, Gurgaon, Haryana, India established to provide free and quality education to less privileged children.

Our little Blue Bellians from Primary Wing showcased their commitment and created a bond of friendship with the children at Diksha School by distributing biscuits and personal hygiene products. They also interacted with the children to create awareness about proper health and hygiene. The smiles on the faces of the little ones exemplified the school’s ideology of ‘Service Before Self.’

 

It was an earnest attempt of the school to serve the society.

Road Safety Campaign

Stay Alive, Think And Drive ,As Road Safety Is A Cheaper  And Effective Insurance.

With increasing incidents of road rage, accidents, unsafe driving practices, it is imperative to educate people on road safety. In fact , Road Safety is expected to improve dramatically when every component of the road system including the vehicle, road infrastructure, traffic engineering, driver training & road etiquette, enforcement, education and awareness, as well as the laws that govern the road system, have safety as an inherent virtue.

 

 As a part of the advocacy campaign by Directorate of Education , Haryana , 'Road Safety Campaign ' was observed in Blue Bells Model School  to highlight and emphasize the need for safe roads on August 14, 2019.  The school has been actively contributing in sensitizing all the  members specially the students on the need of Road Safety and  adherence of Traffic. The theme for this year's school’s  Road Safety Campaign  was "Road Safety and Juniors.”

The main objectives of this Campaign was    to promote the road safety,  to decrease and completely remove out the road accidents, road accident death and injury cases by applying the road safety measures. A human chain of 50 students from Classes V to XII propagated the ideas to their fellow mates and also people living in close vicinity. The students were heartily supported by the Management , School Leadership Team and teachers in this unique endeavour.

It was a touching moment to watch the young citizens taking their responsibilities in an organized manner.

Blue Bells Model School Celebrates 73rd Independence Day

13th August, 2019

‘It is the love of country that has lighted and that keeps glowing the holy fire of patriotism.’

To survive in peace and harmony, united and strong, we must have one nation, one flag. Thousands laid down their lives so that India, our motherland becomes free and liberated from the restraints of foreign trespassers. Let us salute their supreme commitment, allegiance and sacrifice. With this feeling of nationalism, Blue Bells Model School celebrated 73rd Independence Day with a lot of devotion and pride for their country. The chief guest of the pious occasion Dr. Saroj Suman Gulati, Director of BBGS, hoisted the national flag with a fervour of patriotism in her heart. The NCC cadets and house students marched elegantly past the podium and saluted the Chief Guest.

The welcome speech delivered by Yagika Beniwal, the Head Girl of the school, highlighted the significance of harmony, peace and unity amongst countrymen. The presentation of group song ‘Teri Mitti Main Miljawa…’by the school singers brought forth their immense devotion towards their motherland, India. Khushi Jain captivated and won spectator’s attention by reciting a self-composed patriotic poem ‘Utho Bharat Ke Bich Jawano’. Through a ‘Rap Relay’ on ‘Incredible India’ the students of Middle and Senior Wing took everyone decades back to feel the spirit of independence. The tiny tots of the Primary Wing presented an enthralling mass yoga, drill and aerobics along with a mesmerizing group dance highlighting the importance of saving ‘Flora and Fauna’ and saying ‘No to Plastics’ to safeguard mother earth. The senior students staged a Nukkad Natak on ‘Media Literacy’ conveying the message that we need to be wise in differentiating between wrong and right news thereby unchaining ourselves from media rumour and gossip. Multihued dandiya presentation by the young students added more vibrant colour and elation to the celebration. The Director of the school addressed the students by stating that our independence is a blessing which needs to be protected and preserved and that is possible only when we work in unison overshadowing any impediment on the way. The grand event ended with the vote of thanks by Darpan Hans, the Head Boy of the school.
