PLANT A TREE, PLANT HAPPINESS!

The UN Environment Programme annually organizes events for World Environment Day, which encourages worldwide awareness and action for the protection of the environment. Planting a sapling is one of the most powerful ways in which we can contribute towards conservation of environment. We, at the school, have initiated ‘Adopt a Plant’ Campaign to encourage and sensitize the students and the society to plant and take care of trees to make this world a greener place. The students were provided with saplings to carry home and nurture the plant with responsibility by being a care taker of the plant they have adopted. They also took a pledge to follow the three P’s – Protect, Preserve and Promote ‘Mother Earth’.

The students of Class VII B conducted their assembly highlighting the reasons to conserve our environment and help our Mother Nature survive. The emphasis was laid stress on the same through a Nukkad Natak and a self-composed poem.

The Middle School runs a Leadership Programme where all the students get an opportunity to prove their worth as a leader. The students of the Session 2018-19 were awarded with certificates for carrying out their duties with utmost care and responsibility.

Friendship Day Assembly

“Friendship is the only cement that will hold the world together.”

To celebrate the bond of friendship and inculcate the values of sharing and caring among students, a special assembly “ Friends Forever ” was conducted by Class V C on July 29, 2019 .

The assembly commenced with a special rendition expressing the importance of friends in our lives. Students presented a skit showcasing how they can help each other in class and make new students feel comfortable by extending courtesy and cooperation.

Bringing their creative skills to fore students made “Friendship Bands” using eco-friendly material. They fastened these bands on the wrists of their friends in class.

The assembly was appreciated by one and all present there.

Kargil Vijay Diwas

NCC CADETS OF BLUE BELLS MODEL SCHOOL ACKNOWLEDGE THE GALLANTRY OF OUR ARMED FORCES ON THE HEIGHTS OF KARGIL  IN ‘KARGIL WAR VIJAY UTSAV’

26^th July of every year is celebrated as the Kargil Vijay Diwas to remember  the victory of Operation Vijay in the 1999 Kargil War. The day holds a special significance as it is commemorated to pay a tribute to the jawans who sacrificed their lives in the battlefield. The NCC cadets of Blue Bells Model School participated in the celebration at DSD College, Gurugram to mark the 20th anniversary of this successful Operation Vijay on July 26, 2019 . They paid their homage to the  altruistic soldiers of India by  planting saplings and taking a pledge to safeguard their motherland from any foreign invasion. The Five Haryana Battalion NCC Commanding Officer Col. Bhupinder Singh addressed the students from across Gurugram by saluting the grit and valour of those who defended India, and expressed Indians’ everlasting debt to those who never returned.

REGULARITY AND PUCNCTUALITY AWARD CEREMONY

“Keeping in trend the need for new ideas and methodology”, Blue Bells has always implemented new ways of teaching .  The school is a heaven where true knowledge transcends the boundaries of the classroom walls and pages in the text books and extends its arm to grasp information from the outer world as well. Education aims at making children capable of becoming responsible, productive and useful members of a society.  Knowledge, Skills and attitude are built through learning experiences and opportunity created for learners in school .

A special Morning Assembly was conducted by Class X C showcasing the theme  ‘ WOUNDS TO WISDOM’ emphasizing on the need to have courage and conviction to reach the targets in life. The students personified the characters of differently abled people who have achieved glory fighting against all odds . The students who had achieved the tough target of registering 100 % attendance in the last academic session2018-19 were honoured   with Regularity & Punctuality Awards on July 25, 2019 for the  Senior Wing . The Best Team  Leaders from  Classes VI to XI  for the session were also felicitated . The young achievers were felicitated by the  Principal  and  Senior Coordinator of the school. 

Speaking on the occasion,  Principal Ma’am asked all the students to put into practice the qualities of patience, punctuality, sincerity, and solicitude, so that they can make the world a better place.

Investiture Ceremony - Primary Wing

“ If your actions create a legacy that inspires others to dream more, learn more, do more and become more, then, you are an excellent leader.”

Education combined with leadership qualities helps young minds to overcome insurmountable difficulties to become great leaders. In the words of Pt. Jawahar Lal Nehru , “The future of the nation is developed in the class- rooms” – To strengthen these words and inculcate and infuse the sense of responsibility in the students who are the futuristic citizens of the nation, new members of the prefectorial body of the Primary Wing were selected.

Investiture Ceremony of the Students’ Council for the Primary Wing for Session 2019-20 was held on July 24, 2019. Investiture Ceremony signifies the reliance and confidence that the school consigns in the newly invested office bearers.

It was a solemn ceremony and the school Principal invested the new appointees with their position of authority. The Principal  and Primary Wing Incharge pinned the badges and blessed the members of the Prefectorial Body. Donning the mantle of accountability, council members took the pledge to bestow their duties to the best of their abilities.

Regularity Punctuality Awards

Carpe Diem’ – A blend of being regular and on time is what makes one seize the best opportunities…

In a special assembly, held on July 24 , 2019 students from Classes III to V ( Session 2018-19) were awarded Regularity Punctuality Awards as recognition of their full attendance. This ceremony is one of the most anticipated and time tested tradition of all schools, when gleaming enthusiasm and the triumphant spirit of the students can be seen and felt. The event commenced by humbly invoking the blessings of the almighty with a soulful rendition.

Felicitating the awardees, revered school Principal, shared the importance of being regular to school. She also stressed on the importance of sustained efforts in recycling waste paper and keeping the campus clean. Ma’am congratulated the prize winners for their consistent efforts in achieving their goals.

INTERNATIONAL YOGA DAY ASSEMBLY

“Yoga is the journey of the self, through the self, to the self.” – The Bhagavad Gita.

The students of Class VII C in their Class Assembly threw light on International Yoga Day by showcasing glimpses of its importance through a Yoga Dance and Rap Presentation. They were accompanied by French Club students who presented a play on French Revolution. They were able to depict the scenario splendidly. The students of Classes 6^th to 8^th were conferred with Regularity and Punctuality Awards for attending the school on all working days. Award Winning students were – Angad Gupta, Kanishk, Ekta Chutani, Bhavishya Saini, Riya Bhat, Shivansh Vats, Milee Khushwaha and Yash Bhardwaj of Class VI; Shivangi Yadav, Bhavya Yadav, Diya Madan, Deevas Kataria and Ashutosh Tiwari of Class VII; Rishiraj Mishra, Saamarth Sheel, Himanshi Sharm, Tanvi and Akshat Yadav of Class VIII. The Principal – Madam Alka Singh and the Wing Incharge – Madam Anshu Malika Kumar appreciated the students for their commendable time management and regularity encouraging other students to follow suit.

DOCTOR’S DAY ASSEMBLY – Primary Wing

Real heroes don’t wear capes , they wear white coats and we call them Doctors.

It is vital to educate our students about the importance of being healthy. Healthy living creates a healthy environment for all students and healthy students are happy students.

Doctors on earth are like Gods in the heaven. A special day is observed to thank them for their humane services to mankind. Every year July 1 is observed as `Doctor's Day' which is very special for every medical practitioner. National Doctor’s day in India is observed to create awareness about the role, importance and responsibilities of the doctors and value their dedication towards people. 

Doctor’s Day in Blue Bells Model School was celebrated in the Primary Wing with a special assembly on July 15, 2019 to appreciate the tireless efforts of the doctors. The assembly was conducted by Nehru House students. The event commenced with the prayer to the Almighty after which “Thought of the Day” and  “Vocabulary Words” for the day related to Doctors were shared.

Students also presented a talk and role play to express gratitude and importance of Doctor’s in our lives.  Students dressed up as Doctors from different fields and made their peers aware of different fields of medicine .

School doctor Dr. Sanjay Bhat with his team of nurses presented a Lec-dem on the basic First Aid. It was an enriching session for all who attended the assembly.

Yoga Day

“Yoga is the journey of the self, through the self, to the self.” 

Our school health and fitness assemblies are one way for us to apprise the students about the importance of living a healthy lifestyle.

Yoga is regarded as one of the most effective methods of establishing a connection between the body and mind. To put this into practice, a special assembly was organized on July 22, 2019 to teach main asanas of yoga including Surya Namaskar in order to revitalize the body and refresh the mind.

The assembly commenced with a meditation session for ten minutes. The calm and serenity were tangible and readied the students to learn more about the benefits of yoga by building concentration and increasing resilience.

Students were introduced to pranayama (breathing techniques) and asanas (the physical postures). This was followed with a presentation on the mudras (hand gestures) and chakras (energy fields in the body). It was an enriching session for all who attended the assembly.

BLUE BELLS MODEL SCHOOL HOSTED REGIONAL ROUND OF BEHES 2019 

‘In All Debates, Let Truth Be Thy Aim’

Blue Bells Model School, Sector 4, Gurugram hosted  Gurgaon Regional Round of India’s largest Debate Tournament Behes on July 20 & 21, 2019. The opening ceremony commenced with diya lighting followed by  a scintillating dance performance by the Blue Bellians. The Principal of the school extended a hearty welcome to the august gathering by stating rightly that for good ideas and true innovation, one needs human interaction, conflict, argument and debate.

The two-day long mega event witnessed the enthusiasm and high spirit of 250 debaters in putting forward their ideas and opinions on numerous topics in several rounds of debates. The competitors showcased their talent by presenting their views in an effective manner with a perfect modulation of voice and diction. These debaters contested in a uniquely designed team debate format with preliminary, quarter, semi-final and final round for the title of Regional Champion and Maha Behes qualification. There were 16 teams in the junior category, ‘Cubs’ and 16 teams in the senior category, ‘Lions’.

The adjudicators for the preliminary, quarter and semi-final rounds were the expert teachers of participating schools. The members of jury for the final round were Mr. Swapnil, a public speaking enthusiast, Mr. Biprajit and Mr. Jayant, ex-Behes Debaters and Ms. Mukta, a teacher from Blue Bells Model School. The valedictory ceremony was made memorable for all the contestants through a kaleidoscopic glimpses of the debating venues. Decked in a plethora of vibrant colours and reverberating beats, the students of the school performed a foot tapping dance full of energy and vigour. Ms. Soumya Gulati, Deputy Director-Academic Development & Innovation of BBGS and Mr. Salil Singh, Founder of Behes appreciated the students’ assiduous efforts and felicitated the winners with medals and trophy. The Champion’s Trophy was proudly won for both Cubs and Lions by Shiv Nadar School, Gurugram .  50 Best Speaker from Cubs and 30 from Lions were also conferred with medals for their outstanding performance. Young minds always look for a platform to give a voice to their inner mind and Blue Bells Model School believes in providing a suitable podium to salute their earnest expression and innocence.
