SOCIAL OUTREACH AND HINDI CLUB PRESENTATION

The Social Outreach Club and Hindi Literary Club conducted the day's assembly on November 21, 2017. The students organized an Open Quiz for the audience wherein they asked questions based on Hindi Muhawaras, identifying writers and tongue twisters. Students participated with full zeal and answered all the questions that were put forth. A shabad rendition by Ayush Grover of Class VII C was a treat for the ears. This was followed by the Inter-class JAM Session which comprised of 12 students one student from each section. The students spoke on the given topics with confidence and fluency. The winners were - Shrestha Sharma of Class 6 B bagged the first position, Riya of Class 8 B bagged the second position and Manya Srivastava of Class 7 B bagged the third position.

Children’s Day in India is celebrated every year on 14^th of November as a tribute to Pt. Jawarhar Lal Nehru. This day being his birthday is also celebrated as Baal Diwas due to his love and fondness for children.

 A special assembly was planned by the teachers to make this day a memorable one. The highlights of the assembly were Aerobics, Song presentation and Rhythmic dance presentation performed by the teachers of Primary wing. The students appreciated the teachers with loud applause.

We believe in the wholesome development of not only students but also its staff as well as support staff. In accordance with the same philosophy, Annual Sports Meet for support staff was organized in the school's playground. The support staff of Blue Bells Model School and Blue Bells Preparatory School (Male and Female) participated in the same. There were various sports events like 100 m, 200m, passing the ring, volleyball and musical chair for females and 100 m, 200m hurdle race, Basket ball and cricket match for males. All participants enthusiastically participated and the program concluded with felicitations of the winners by Mrs. C Dhawan - the Principal. The energy and vibrance during the event was worth witnessing.

Blue Bells organized IT Fest-Cyber Maze 2017

At the heart of effective technology integration, technology offers opportunities to be more actively involved in the learning experience. Technology therefore, will continue to be an integral part and the driving force in workplaces, communities, educational institutions and personal lives. Technology can engage students in new experiences and create a community of learners across geographical boundaries. To achieve this objective, Blue Bells Model School,Sec-4  Gurgaon, under the able guidance and patronage of Ms. Anshuka Aneja, DeputyDirector IT,  Blue Bells Group of Schools organized Cyber Maze 2017, a mega Intra-school IT fest for the students of classes III-X from November 6 to November 8, 2017 to bring forth the dynamism and prolific face of technology in the hands of tech-savvy generation. The opening ceremony commenced with Saraswati Vandana. An informative  talk on technology was presented by school Cyber Wizard, Arsh Gupta. An introductory video was presented to the students to  have a glimpse of numerous activities to be conducted during the fest. A skit was staged depicting internet era by the students of Middle Wing. Ms Chandan Dhawan, Principal of the school declared Cyber Maze 2017 open.

An array of interesting competitions related to Information Technology were designed for the students to exhibit their creativity and IT skills in the unfathomable world of technology. The students of Primary Wing participated in the events like Poster Designing on ‘Go Green’, Presentation Making on ‘My Dream Planet’ and Game Designing on ‘Educational Game’. The Middle Wing students proved their outstanding expertise by taking part in a gamut of  events like Advertisement Making on ‘IT Gadget’, Movie Making on ‘Zero Waste Management System’ and ‘Technology- A Backbone of Nation’, Wall Paper Designing on ‘Digitalization’ and Blog Designing on ‘Cyber Awareness’.

The closing ceremony witnessed a spellbinding dance by the students of Middle Wing. ‘Snapshots’-a video was shown to the students to have a peep into the several activity- rich venues. Mr. Rakshit Tandon, the renowned Cyber Security Expert and Director Executive- Council of Information Security was the Chief Guest of the event. He conducted two Cyber Awareness workshop for the classes VI-VIII and  IX, X and XI. Through demonstrations and illustrations he made students aware of cyber crime and perilous consequences one may face due to unawareness in the field of social networking. He emphasized the fact that ‘Technology has changed our lives but its appropriate and prudent usage is expected from the new generations of today. Mr. Tandon applauded the collective efforts of students and teachers in making the event a great accomplishment. Ms. Anshuka Aneja and Rakshit Tandon felicitated the winners of various events  by giving away the prizes and certificates. The eventful day concluded with the vote of thanks proposed by Yashika Sachdeva, the school Headgirl.

Gurupurab

Students of Class V – C presented their Special Assembly on Gurupurab on November 3, 2017. The assembly began with a talk on the importance of the festival. To inculcate good moral values into the children, a power point presentation on the same was shown to them and each moral value was explained very well by a group of students.

Punctuality is a trait that must be developed since childhood as it is the key to success in every field of work. A short video on Punctuality was shown to the students to inspire them to do their work on time. This was followed by a peppy song ‘I can follow the rules’.

Students sang Shabad Gaan which was flawless and melodious. A video on the life of Guru Nanakji was also presented during the assembly.

As part of the CBSE programme, Vigilance Awareness week on the theme “My Vision-Corruption free India” was observed in the school from October 30, 2017to November 4, 2017. Students took the Integrity pledge and made cartoons on the theme “Corruption Free India.”

Students who brought laurels to the school by participating in Inter school competition at The Maurya School on September 2, 2017 were felicitated today. They bagged the 1^st Runners Up in the event ‘Nukkad Natak- Azaadi Kal aur Aaj’. Respected Principal, Ma’am Chandan Dhawan and Primary Wing Incharge, Ma’am Meenakshi Malhotra congratulated the students for their achievement. 

SAVE OZONE TO SAVE MANKIND & SCIENCE AND ECO CLUB PRESENTATION

Martin Luther very aptly stated, “Today our very existence depends on our ability to stay awake, to adjust to new ideas, to remain vigilant and to face the challenge of change.”

We are aware of the increasing concern about corruption eroding the basic values of life. It has a negative effect not only on our social fabric but also threatens to slow down the progress and development of our nation. In order to commemorate the week the Science and Eco Club of the Middle Wing conducted an informative assembly. They spoke about the activities they had done during the year and their learning outcomes. They presented a skit that added awareness amongst the students on being vigilant about the impact of corruption on the environment. The students also made the whole school take a pledge on National Integrity.

An Inter-House PPT competition was also conducted on – “Save Ozone to Save Mankind”. The students expressed their views about the existence of Ozone with complete confidence and apprised the students how the harmful effects of pollutants used by humans are damaging the life giver - ozone. The presentations were made with a lot of consideration and supported the matter of the speakers. The results of the competition are as follows: Mother Teresa House – Winner, Indira Gandhi House – I Runners Up, Tagore House – II Runners Up, Nehru House – III Runners Up.

PARYATAN PARV

“To move, to breathe, to fly, to float

Tourism not only benefits a country but also the traveler. The growth of tourism in India has been marvelous and rapid. This being the year of  tourism, The Tagore House presented their assembly on the theme ‘Paryatan Parv’ to observe the potential of tourism as a part of CBSE activity.

The assembly began with a talk on tourism in India and how it promotes national integration, economic growth and celebrates diversity of cultures. This was followed by a short video on promotion of tourism in India.

Dance presentations depicting the cultures of different states like Hafiza, the folk dance of  Kashmir, Ghoomer dance of Rajasthan, Bhangra of Punjab and Santhal of West Bengal, was one of the salient features of the assembly that took the audience around a trip throughout the country.

The assembly was highly appreciated by respected Principal, Ma’am Chandan Dhawan and Primary Wing Incharge, Ma’am Meenakshi Malhotra. They also felicitated the students who brought laurels to the school in various interschool competitions. Students bagged 1^st position in Fusion Dance and 2^nd position in jewelry designing at Meenakshi Public School. Students who performed at Talkatora Stadium bagged 1^st position in Qawalli competition while Mohika Srivastava who performed solo in Raag performance bagged 2^nd position.

SALUTING KALAM

The world celebrates Dr A.P.J. Abdul Kalam’s birth anniversary as World Students’ Day. It is a celebration of multiculturalism, diversity and cooperation among students across the globe. Our school also commemorated the World Students’ Day on October 17, 2017 by organizing various events.

Middle Wing students participated in an Inter-house Declamation Competition – ‘Saluting Kalam’ which was designed to mark the occasion. The students from different houses delivered famous speeches of Kalam like ‘Three Visions for the Nation’ and ‘Unique You’. The judges appreciated the participants for their diction and expressions. The First Prize was bagged by Adhya Gupta (Nehru House) and Swasti Sharma (Indira Gandhi House). The Second position was clinched by Kashish Madaan (Mother Teresa House) and the Runner up was Priyanshi Bhardwaj (Tagore House).

An Inter-class Quiz (Classes VI to VIII) was also conducted to acknowledge the essence of conserving the Indian heritage and understanding its importance. The quiz comprised of three rounds – Ancient and Vedic Literature of India, Bhakti and Freedom Movement, and Famous Monuments of India and Dance Forms of India. It was an enthralling event that helped the audience gain a lot of information about India.

Diwali is round the corner and to spread the joy of festivity the students of Primary Wing designed colourful rangolis in the corridors of the school. The rangolis made by these young students received applause by one and all.

DIWALI ACTIVITY

‘Celebrating festival is celebrating life”

Diwali is a festival that symbolizes light over darkness and knowledge over ignorance. To bring people socially close together, festivals are celebrated with much zeal and ardour. To keep up with our culture and traditions, some colourful activities were planned for the students of Primary Wing of classes III – V.

Class III decorated ‘Diyas’ beautifully with decorative material. Class IV students made attractive ‘Wall hangings’ while class V students made ‘Torans’ and ‘Table lamps’.

These engaging activities ensured team work and bonding amongst the students. The spirit of festivity and the excitement of the students knew no bounds.

PRIMARY WING ASSEMBLY III A THEME: KINDNESS

“One kind word can change someone’s entire day and one kind act can change someone’s entire life.”

Kindness in words creates confidence, kindness in thinking creates profoundness and kindness in giving creates love. Kindness is a great virtue by which a person shows love, affection understanding and sympathy towards others and this was very admirably conveyed by the students of Class III A in their assembly today. The skit ‘A Kind hearted Prince’ enacted by the students showed how a random act of kindness can change one’s entire life.

This was followed by a magnificent ballet dance which was gracefully presented by the students. The beautiful assembly was applauded by our Principal, Ma’am Chandan Dhawan and Primary Wing Incharge, Ma’am Meenakshi Malhotra who conveyed that kindness is a virtue that all of us should cultivate and generously shower upon others.
