INTERNATIONAL DAY OF THE GIRL CHILD

On the occasion of International Day of the Girl Child the students of Class VI A conducted their assembly. The theme of the assembly was chosen wisely. The prime objective was to focus on motivating girls and giving them a healthy environment to grow confidently. The society plays an important role in the formation of the future generation. The students gave an inspiring speech on ‘Importance of Girl Child and Sports’. They performed a skit showcasing how a girl can excel in a particular field if provided support. The students also incorporated the National Sports Day in their assembly. Supporting the fact that sports should be given equal importance for the all round development of the child. They also proved it through their dance performance. Their Class Incharge, Ms. Ankushree, addressed the assembly stating the vital role to be played by the students in spreading awareness about sports.

Ms. Sanjana Arora – the member of Cyber awareness Team – had an informative session with the students. She briefed the students about the precautions need to be taken while they are using internet, especially about sharing personal information, social networking and playing online games. This session helped the students realize the need of safe internet usage.  

Grandparent’s Day

                                         ‘Love is the greatest gift that one generation can leave to another.’

Grandparents are a delightful blend of laughter, caring deeds, wonderful stories and love.What children need most are the essentials in abundance. There is nothing more wonderful than the love and guidance a grandparent can give to his or her grandchild.To honour the warmth, love and affection of these sacred souls, Blue Bells Model School Sec-4 Gurgaon commemorated ‘Grandparent’s Day’ on October 7, 2017. Dr. Saroj Suman Gulati, Director Blue Bells Group of Schools graced the august occasion. Ms. Chandan Dhawan, the Principal of the school addressed the revered guests by stating that grandparents are the prudent and experienced ones, children turn to, in times of trouble and they are the one who through their concern and deep feeling of belongingness leave a long lasting impression in child’s life. The students of Primary wing welcomed the grandparents by taking them on a journey to Sur Sarita with their musical rendition of ‘Hum Sab Milkar Aaj Tatolein Bharat Ka Itihas…Garba dance and Zumba performance by the tiny tots of Primary Wing enthralled the guests. Quawaali presentation of the Primary and Middle Wing students was highly applauded by the grandparents. The Middle Wing students performed a mesmerizing fusion of aerobics and yoga in the form of  western dance on the beats of Govind Bolo Hari Gopal Bolo....Grandparents also enjoyed fun games ‘Unlock the Mystery’  and ‘Andaz  Apna Apna’. Dr. Saroj Suman Gulati addressed the grandparents by highlighting the role played by them in instilling good values, moral and culture in their grandchildren. She rightly quoted that a grandparent is one who strengthens a child with prayer, blesses and encourages him with love and hope. Each and every grandparent appreciated the programme and blessed the children. The vote of thanks was proposed by Ms. Tanuja Sharma.

Commerce Department Assembly-2017

The assembly on 5^th October 2017 was presented by the Commerce Department with the main motive of depicting the success stories of eminent entrepreneurs of India and to give a brief description about the historic move made in the economic sector i.e. the implementation of GST. The assembly commenced with news, thought of the day, significances of the week and words of vocabulary. It proceeded with a great debate on GST through a talk show depicting renowned dignitaries of India who discussed the pros and cons of this reform. The debate was followed by an enthralling depiction of the struggle and success story of Dhiru Bhai Ambani. the assembly was concluded with a media clip showcasing the struggle and ideology of today’s business tycoons.

GANDHI JAYANTI AND NON-VIOLENCE DAY

“Be truthful, gentle and fearless’

The birth anniversary of Gandhi ji is celebrated as the International Day of Non-Violence all over the world. The students of Class VI B conducted their assembly on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti and International Day of Non-Violence. The assembly began with the features like news, thought for the day, significance of the week and words to enhance vocabulary. It was further followed by a speech which apprised the students about the importance of Gandhi Jayanti and International Non-Violence Day. A skit was also presented that showcased the three wise monkeys who inspired the students to Speak no Evil, Hear no Evil, See no Evil in their daily lives accompanied with the musical rendition of ‘Raghupati Raghav Raja Ram’ and ‘The world stands in need of liberation, my Lord’. The dance throwing light in Incredible India added a spark of positivity in the assembly. The Wing Incharge, Ms. Anshu Mallika Kumar, appreciated the class for their team work and motivated all the students to follow the path of non-violence.

Gandhiji has always inspired the countrymen by his principles, dedication and mission to free India and his philosophy of truth and non-violence. Gandhi Jayanti is also celebrated as Swatch Bharat Diwas in the honor of the Father of the nation, Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi. To commemorate his birth anniversary, interesting activities were planned for the students of Primary Wing, Classes III-V. Class III made ‘Spectacles’ using bangles, sticks and rubber bands. Class IV made ‘Khadaus’ and Class V sketched a beautiful ‘Portrait’ of Gandhiji.All the activities were unique and were appreciated by Primary Wing Incharge, Ma’am Meenakshi Malhotra.

DUSSEHRA CELEBRATION

“Good always triumphs over evil.”

Festivals are an integral part of our culture and Dussehra signifies the triumph of good over evil which is celebrated across the country. With the onset of Dussehra, the students of Nehru House of Primary Wing gathered to present their assembly today. The magnificence and grandeur of the festivities were reflected in the assembly.

The highlights of the assembly were a video on Ramayana, the puppet show and a skit through which the significance of this festival was conveyed.

Students were dressed up in colourful attire as the characters of Ramayana for the occasion. The assembly concluded with garba dance which was enjoyed by the students. The presentation of the students was applauded by all.

Respected Principal, Ma’am Chandan Dhawan and Primary Wing Incharge, Ma’am Meenakshi Malhotra, complimented the students for their performance and wished them Happy Navratras and Happy Dussehra.

CLASS ASSEMBLY ON FRIENDSHIP

Friends are the soul of our life. They keep us alive. To share the secret of strengthening the bond of true friendship the students of Class VI C conducted their assembly on the theme – ‘Friendship’. The assembly began with a speech and a poem on friends followed by instrumental music was bliss to hear. The students presented a skit and dance showcasing the beauty of friendship. The Class Incharge – Ms. Shubhra Ghosh, addressed the audience and motivated them to make real friends instead of virtual friends because they are the real treasure of life.

HINDI DIWAS

“Hindi ka sanman, desh ka sanman hai,

Hamari swatantrata kaha hai, Rashtra bhasha jaha hai”

To commemorate Hindi Diwas, a role play activity was conducted in the classes III-V of Primary Wing on September 12, 2017. In every class, students enacted the characters of a moral based story with great enthusiasm using relevant props. It was a group activity and a great learning experience.

An assembly on Hindi Diwas was presented by the students today. It began with  a poem presentation followed by significance of Hindi as our National language.

An Inter house Quiz competition was organized which consisted of three rounds. The first round was ‘shudh-ashudh’, second round was a pictorial round in which the students added adjectives to nouns and in the final round the students wrote proverbs based on the body parts. The winners of the quiz were:

The assembly concluded with Nukkad Natak presentation. Respected Principal, Ma’am Chandan Dhawan and Primary Wing Incharge, Ma’am Meenakshi Malhotra congratulated the winners and appreciated the students for their presentation. She also encouraged the students to inculcate the habit of reading for language enhancement. 

GANESH CHATURTHI

“O Vighnaharta, shower us with bounties

And remove all obstacles that come in our way”

A special assembly on the theme ‘My friend Ganesha’ was presented by the students of Class III D. The Vighnaharta, remover of obstacles Lord Ganesha was celebrated in today’s assembly.

The programme started off with a bhajan that created a peaceful aura and sawfull participation of the students. The students beautifully portrayed ‘Om’ and Ganesha followed by a skit that depicted the transformation of Parvati’s son into Lord Ganesha.

Keeping the tempo up, the students ended the assembly with a vibrant  lezium dance number.

Blessed are our students who on the auspicious occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi carried out creative activities. Class III made colourful wall hangings. Class IV drew the majestic figure of Lord Ganesha using OHP marker and Class V made Ganesha using paper cut outs.

Students who had won prizes in various interschool competions and Roll Ball Skating Championship were awarded by respected Principal, Ma’am Chandan Dhawan and Primary Wing Incharge, Ma’am Meenakshi Malhotra.

The efforts of the students were appreciated.

Blue Bells Celebrates Teacher’s Day

‘A good teacher inspires hope, ignites the imagination and instills a love for learning.’

A teacher takes a hand, touches a heart and shapes the future. A teacher's purpose is not to create students in his own image, but to develop students who can create his own image. To show respect and reverence to teachers, the students of Class XII of  Blue Bells Model School Sec-4 Gurgaon organized a special assembly on the occasion of Teacher’s Day. The students of Primary Wing presented a skit in which students depicted the teachers’ contribution in grooming students and making them confident individual. A movie was shown wherein their own classroom interaction with teachers were projected. The Head Boy and Head Girl addressed the students highlighting the importance of teachers’ role in students’ life. The students diligently took Swachta Oath to keep their school, home and surrounding clean. To make the day memorable for teachers fun activities were organized by the students. Teachers energetically participated in musical chair, antaksari and quiz. The participation of teachers was overwhelming and students enjoyed the events heartily. The teacher students of class XII involved their juniors in various games and discussions. The Principal appreciated the students’ efforts and blessed them to succeed in all their endeavours. The school organized a workshop on ‘Team Building between teachers and students for the teachers. The resource person was Mr. Baljeet Ahluwalia, a renowned trainer who spoke on leadership qualities, team building, time management communication and presentation skills. He further stated that a strong bonding between the teachers and students help each other to understand and overcome any challenge. The young enthusiastic teachers presented an entertaining programme where they included radio jockey stressing the significance of teacher’s day. They showcased inspirational video on teachers, presented group song and dance. A comedy skit ‘Stand Up Comedy’ entertained the audience. They organized Balloon and Spoon and Ball games for teachers which was actively participated by the teachers. To sum up Teacher’s Day was celebrated in Blue Bells Model School with lot of vigour and gusto.

SPECIAL ASSEMBLY

SEPTEMBER 5, 2017

“A good teacher can inspire hope, ignite the imagination and instill a love for learning.’

To honour the teachers, a special assembly on Teacher’s Day was conducted by the Student Council Members of Primary Wing, Blue Bells Model School. An array of activities was planned for the teachers which made the day exceptional.

The assembly began with a message to all the students from their teachers through an interactive video of the students with their teachers. The students presented a wonderful skit which projected that every child has the potential to rise and shine if given the opportunity. Students also displayed their love and respect affectionately through a speech on the role of teachers in their life.

As the school is observing Swatchta Drive from September1, 2017 to September 15, 2017, a pledge was taken by the Primary Wing to follow the mission and imbibe the practice of cleanliness into us.
