Students of the Primary Wing of Blue Bells Model School gave a commendable performance of their assembly based on the theme Importance of Sports. A talk was given on the role of sports in our daily life. A documentary on Sportsman Spirit touched the heart of all the students which entailed the story of sports person who had a never give up attitude. Refreshing and cheerful aerobics performance left everyone speechless and was appreciated by one and all. Respected Principal Madam Chandan Dhawan motivated the students by sharing a few thoughts on the need of sports and guided them to go for physical exercises in order to be for and healthy.
 20 students of the Primary Wing of the Blue Bells Model School participated in the Interschool competition, MI Fest- 2016, organized by Amity International School. The students of Street Feet Rhythm bagged second position. The dance was based on five elements – Air, Water, Fire, Earth and Sky. It depicted the augmentation of Robots and life being controlled by them. The presentation also conveyed that although machines have taken over and we are dependent on them yet nature has its own role to play in our lives and hence the need of the day is to save the earth by becoming Enviro Saviours . The effort of the students was appreciated by Dr. Suman Gulati Director Blue Bells Group of Schools and Madam Chandan Dhawan Principal Blue Bells Model School.

Teachers Day Celebration

The teacher who is indeed wise does not bid one to enter the house of his wisdom but rather leads him to the threshold of his mind.

Education is the key to success in life, and teachers make a lasting impact in the lives of their students. A teachers purpose is not to create students in his own image, but to develop students who can create their own image. To show respect and reverence to teachers, the students of Class XII of Blue Bells Model School organized a special assembly on September 5, 2016 on the occasion of Teachers Day. To make the day memorable for teachers the students showcased a cultural fiesta wherein they sang song, played instruments and presented a short ballet projecting teachers contribution in shaping the life of students. A video presented on the life of a teacher and his dedication in students upbringing and nurturing was astounding. Games like blow the balloon, musical chair, talent hunt and tug of war were organized for the teachers. The participation of teachers was overwhelming and students enjoyed the events heartily. The teacher students of class XII involved their juniors in various games and discussions. The Principal appreciated the students efforts and blessed them to succeed in all their endeavours.

A workshop was organized for teachers on Self Awareness and Understanding. The resource person was Ms. Manvinder Brar, an eminent psychologist and counselor. Through an interactive session Ms. Brar highlighted the fact that one should be aware of his own selffor a better and successful living. Dr.Suman Gulati addressed the teachers and emphasized that teachers are the most responsible and important members of society because their professional efforts mould the fate and future of the students.

To mark the birth of Lord Ganesha, the students of Blue Bells Model School, Primary Wing worshipped the Lord on this auspicious occasion  to keep up the Indian culture and tradition. The soulful rendition of Ganesh Vandana and aarti was performed to evoke the blessings of Lord Ganesha.
Thereafter the students of Class III B presented their Teachers Day assembly. Students talked about the importance of Teachers Day and its celebration as the birth anniversary of Dr. Radha Krishnan, the former President India and also spoke about the influence of teachers in the life of students. A group of children sang a poem to express their love for the teachers. “Teachers not only teach but identify the hidden talents, polish them and help the students in gaining confidence.” This was clearly seen through a skit presented by the students. The assembly concluded with a wonderful dance performance in appreciation for the teachers. Revered Principal Madam Chandan Dhawan addressed the students and explained the importance of education and teachers in their lives.
A class activity was also conducted to mark the occasion of Ganesh Chartuthi. Class III made Ganesha idols with disposable glasses ,class IV made masks and class V made Ganesha with the help of  old CDs( best out of waste.) This activity was enjoyed by the students.

GATIMAAN KI PAATHSHALA- TRAFFIC RULES - TRAFFIC TUTOR ACTIVITY.
An informative programme for the students of classes III – V was organized to educate and reinstate road safety and behavior facts in the young minds. This activity was organized by Maruti Driving School to spread awareness of road safety rules.  Students were practically involved in it and a worksheet related to the same was attempted by them. It was an educative and interactive activity which was enjoyed by the students. A return gift (pencil pouch) was given to the students by the organizers.

Sports Day

We may win and We may lose, but we will never be defeated
 Blue Bells Model School, Sector-4 celebrated National Sports Day on 29th August, 2016, a day which marks the birth anniversary of Major Dhyan Chand, Indias veteran hockey player. On account of this day plethora of interesting activities were conducted for the students. For the role play, students were dressed up as their favourite sports personality and spoke few lines about them.  The ground was abuzz with excitement and thrill when the fun races began. The students participated in Cross the arch, Hoola Hoop partner race and Collect the corn race. The sports department made the students aware of the qualities of a true sports man and put in a lot of effort in making this day a memorable one. The students understood the importance of physical fitness, healthy food and discipline and took a pledge to Be Health and Stay Healthy.

Janmashtami Celebration

Happy Krishna Janmashtami
On account of Janmashtami few class activities were conducted n the Primary Wing. The students of class III decorated flutes whereas the students of class IV beautifully adorned the pots  Matkis”. Class V made head gears, masks and OHP paintings. The feel of the festival was quite evident and the activities were cherished and enjoyed by the students. These activities illuminated their minds as they participated in them wholeheartedly .
Class IV C of the Primary Wing conducted todays assembly based on the theme “Janmashtami.”The students were encouraged to imbibe Lord Krishnas teachings in their lives and took a pledge that they would not only worship Lord Krishna but also follow his teachings  and  his direction . The honourable Principal Maam Chandan Dhawan Laid stress on giving 100% in whatever we do. It was rightly said “Agar disha sahi ho to dasha apne aap sahi ho jaate hai.”.The students  enjoyed being dressed up as Radha and Krishna and graced the occasion with their colourful attire.
Class VI A of the middle wing conducted their assembly based on “ Krishna Janmashtami.”A presentation was prepared to support the assembly beginning with a poem recital followed  by a musicial rendition of “ Achutam Keshavam Krishna Damodaram” and a speech on Krishna Janmashtami. The assembly was concluded with a dance presentation that filled the J.D .Hall with an ambience of festivity.

Career Confluence

The crowning fortune of a man is to be born to some pursuit which finds him employment and happiness.
In the modern era, diverse career options bewilder the youth and baffle their thoughts and beliefs. To accustom and familiarize students with multitude of career options which are suitable for them, Blue Bells Model School, Sec.4,Gurgaon organized a two days Career Confluence on 19th August and 20th August 2016 under the able  guidance and patronage of  Dr. Alka Saxena, Asst. Director Health and Wellness, Blue Bells Group of Schools. The Confluence was meant for the students of classes IX - XII and their parents as well. Director of the Center for Career Development, Mr.Jitin Chawla, an eminent educationist & career counselor was the resource person to address the students. The occasion commenced with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp by Mr.Jitin Chawla and Dr. Alka Saxena. Ms. Chandan Dhawan, Principal of the school welcomed the august gathering and stated that future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams. Dr.Alka Saxena motivated the students by quoting that a mind that is stretched by new experiences can never go back to its old dimensions. She further encouraged the students to make the best of the occasion by putting up their queries to the career counselors. Mr.Jitin Chawla   delivered a lively session on stream selection for the students of classes IX and X. He categorically advised students on how to choose their career path depending upon their talent and interest. Mr. Chawla acquainted the students of classes 11th & 12th with emerging science, commerce and humanities careers and misconceptions regarding careers. He also updated the students about the plethora of courses and institutions available. He suggested that students should also explore the off-beat and unconventional careers. Mr. Alok Bansal from IMS also guided the students on myriad careers available in various fields. The other two speakers were Ms. Monika form Pearl Academy who spoke on Creative Careers and Ms. Sunita from IIHM who guided them on Hospitality Management. Stalls were put up by the prominent organizations like Pearl Academy and IIHM to direct students on career options available in them.
The workshop   organized   for  the parents of students from classes 9th to 12th on 20th August,16 was an enlightening session for them. The resource person was an eminent psychologist and counselor, Mr. Kapil Khanna. He presented an informative session on stream selection, effective career planning and career options. He spoke on common myths regarding career and elaborately discussed on untrodden   careers   in science  stream, commerce and humanities which can prove to be rewarding in the future. After the sessions Mr. Khanna satisfied the career related queries of the parents. The   Confluence certainly achieved its objective with an overwhelming participation of students as well as parents.

Raksha Bandhan

Celebrating the eternal bond between brother and sister……..
The students of class IV C of the Primary Wing conducted today’s assembly based on the theme “Raksha Bandhan.” Through their assembly the students depicted the love and respect of brothers and sisters. The ppt shown made them understand the history of this sacred festival. The dance presentation on the evergreen song “Phoolo ka taro ka” was breathtaking. Students recited beautiful poems and gave information about this festival. It was a meaningful assembly which was appreciated by our Wing in Charge Ms. Meenakshi Malhotra and the students.

Independence Day Celebration

To survive in peace and harmony, united and strong, we must have one nation, one flag.
Thousand laid down their lives so that India, our motherland becomes free and liberated from the shackles of foreign invaders. Let us salute their utmost devotion, loyalty and sacrifice. With this feeling of nationalism, Blue Bells Model School celebrated 70th Independence Day with lot of delight, rejoice and heart full of pride. The chief guest of the august occasion was Dr. Suman Gulati, Director of Blue Bells Group of Schools. Dr. Suman Gulati hoisted the national flag with afervour of patriotism in her heart. The NCC cadets and house students marched smartly past the podium and saluted the Chief Guest.
A patriotic group song Anek Ta Mein Ekta, Hind Ki Visheshta…. was sung by the school students. A speech was delivered by Nandini Bhardwaj highlighting the importance of the day. Through the melodious rendition Eh Mere Pyare Watan…Abdul Samad Khan took everyone decades back to feel the spirit of independence. Director of the school addressed the students by stating that Patriotism is our conviction that our country is superior to all others because we are born in it and independence is a blessing which needs to be protected and preserved. The event ended with the national anthem reminding everyone once again about Indias grandeur, victory, martyrdom and sacrifice of gallant freedom fighters.

Yoga Day

Yoga is the journey of the self, to the self and through the self.
The Students of class V B of the Primary Wing conducted assembly on the theme International Day of Yoga. The students were introduced to few Yoga Asanas by the yoga teacher Ms. Himali. The skit based on the relationship between Arjun and his guru Dhronacharya depicted the bond of a student –teacher. It was emphasized that concentration comes from Yoga and Meditation. Our Principal Ms. C. Dhawan also appreciated the performance of the students and motivated them to have a Family Yoga Session everyday for at least 15 minutes.

Patriotism Assembly

Class IV B of the Primary wing conducted assembly based on the theme Patriotism. It was an informative assembly wherein the students presented the love and respect for their nation through poems, dance and ppt. Every student presented in the J D Hall was proud of their country. They felt that it was an honour to be an Indian. The feeling of patriotism was evident. The assembly was highly appreciated by Senior Wing Incharge, Ms. M Aruna.
