The Entrepreneurial Journey – Inspiring Young Minds at BBMS With the vision of igniting entrepreneurial ambition, Blue Bells Model School hosted The Entrepreneurial Journey, a boot camp in collaboration with Masters’ Union on 26th October 2024 in the school premises. Guided by industry stalwarts such as Mr. Bhargav, Mr. Garv Wadhwa, Mr. Anish, and Ms. Shaily Dangi, students explored essential business concepts and learned from the successes and challenges of these accomplished speakers. Grade XI students participated in the Masters' Union High School Startup League (HSSL), gaining hands-on experience in startup development and teamwork. THE ANNUAL TRAINING NCC CAMP-162 (ATC)

The Annual Training Camp (ATC) for all second-year NCC cadets was held at Universal Public School, Ghoshgarh from 7th-16th October 2024 and was attended by nearly 650 cadets from 5 Haryana NCC Battalion, Gurugram, under the command of Col. Sandeep Singh Aulakh. From Blue Bells Model, 43 cadets across the JD, JW, SD, and SW categories had participated. Major Jitendra Lakhera, Ms. Sunita Yadav(Caretaker), and Ms. Nitu Kumari(Caretaker) from the school fostered teamwork, self-sufficiency, and experiential learning during the ten-day camp, making it a rewarding experience for both students and teachers. The hands-on weapon training at the National Security Guard (NSG) was an exhilarating experience. During the camp, several cadets emerged as rising stars. Prisha Kumar, from the JW category, was awarded the title of Best Firer of the camp making a remarkable group of 3cm, while Naitik Shah from JD secured second place in firing. Anjaneya from SD won Best Firer in his category, with Siyon from SD following closely behind in third place. . Bhuvi and Anushka Thakran from JW triumphed in Kho-Kho, winning first prize as part of the mixed team. Both the JD and JW teams from our school also secured first place in volleyball. In Tug of War, Amaira from JW emerged victorious, and Gauri Chauhan from JW, along with Devansh Kashyap from JD, clinched third place in the cross-country event. Additionally, Gauri Chauhan proudly earned the second position in the Best Cadet competition. Cadet Titiksha Kukreja (IXA) has been selected as the Best Cadet, while Shabd Upadhyay (IXB) has been chosen in the cultural category for the upcoming RDC camp at Hisar. ATC Camp 162 was a transformative experience, filled with enriching lectures, sports, and cultural programs. It fostered personal growth, discipline, and camaraderie among cadets. We extend heartfelt thanks to our revered management and Ms Alka Singh, Principal for their unwavering support, motivating us to excel and pursue excellence in all areas.

BBMS Excels at CBSE Skill Expo 2024 Heartiest Congratulations Bio-Blend team !!!! The school proudly participated in the prestigious 'CBSE Skill Expo and Guidance Festival 2024,' held at Chitkara International School . Out of the three innovative projects exhibited by our students, we are thrilled to announce that Team I—Harshvardhan and Saksham from Grade 8, with their project "Bio-blend" —has been selected for * National Level* ! This outstanding achievement is a testament to their creativity and hard work. The other two projects also shone brightly at the event. Team II—Bhoomika and Garima from Grade 11—presented "Pollution Warrior,"* offering sustainable solutions to combat environmental challenges. Team III—Armaan Sareen (Grade 12) and Gracy Kaur (Grade 12)—impressed with Envirobond, showcasing innovative ideas for environmental conservation. We couldn’t be prouder of our students' outstanding efforts and their dedication to making a difference!

Webinar on Voter Education and Electoral Literacy

To familiarize young citizens with the country’s electoral system and encouraging informed and ethical participation, CBSE organized a webinar focusing on voter education in collaboration with the Ministry of Education and the Election Commission of India on 16^th October 2024. Mr. Umesh Sinha, Retd. IAS and Deputy Election Commissioner led the engaging one-hour online session for Grade XII students of the school .

The webinar successfully inspired students to become responsible voters, committed to active and ethical participation in the democratic process.

Peer Educator Introductory Session 2024-25

 The Health & Wellness Programme at Blue Bells Group of Schools offers a holistic education that integrates values, life skills, and well-being. Dr Alka Saxena, Deputy Director (Health & Wellness), Blue Bells Group of Schools, an avant-garde educationist and visionary, developed this comprehensive Peer Educator Programme with a clear vision: to empower students to become effective role models and serve as an accessible and approachable health education resource both inside and outside the classroom. 

On September 26, 2024, a Peer Educator Introductory Session was held at Brahm Dutt Blue Bells Public School for the newly elected Peer Educators from BBMS and BDBBPS. The Leadership Team of both schools also graced the occasion. The session, facilitated by Health and Wellness Ambassadors and Peer Mentors from both schools, included activities and insights on key topics and encouraged active participation in discussions. Dr. Alka briefed the student leaders about the roles and responsibilities of the Peer Educators. 

A key event highlight was an Anti-Bullying workshop led by Dr. Alka Saxena and the Resource Center Team. The students were apprised of the types and effects of bullying and discussed the role of Bystanders in depth. Divided into groups, the students were assigned a research project on Anti-Bullying and given a timeline to present their findings using various methods.

 Dr. Alka creatively outlined the responsibilities of Peer Educators, offering valuable advice on how to approach their duties thoughtfully. She emphasized the importance of these roles and motivated the students to strive for excellence in all their endeavours. Through her guidance, the students were inspired to harness their potential and remain committed to positively impacting their peers.

Swacchata Hi Sewa

The Class VIII A assembly on September 27, 2024, focused on "Swacchata Hi Sewa," beginning with a motivating quote from Manyata about the importance of small efforts towards cleanliness. Samyak and Dhanvin delivered a compelling speech on the significance of cleanliness, followed by a video showcasing successful initiatives. A *Nukkad Natak* highlighted the need for waste segregation and community participation.

The assembly also featured national, international, sports, and school news. The presentations emphasized individual and community responsibility for cleanliness, leaving students inspired to make cleanliness a part of their daily lives.

Blue Bells International Model School Hosted BBIMUN 2024

Collaborative multilateralism builds a resilient global system by fostering cooperation to address challenges like climate change and inequality. Through shared responsibility, it promotes sustainable development, peace, and equitable prosperity for all nations. With this objective, Blue Bells Model School hosted Chapter IX of ‘BBIMUN 2024’ on the theme, ‘Collaborative Multilateralism Towards a Sustainable World Order’ on October 6th and 7th, 2024. More than 1100 enthusiastic talented delegates from across Gurugram, Delhi NCR, Lucknow, Pathania, Kaithal, Rajasthan Sikar & Yamunagar participated in the mega event.

The online event on 3^rd & 4^th October 24 witnessed participation of students from Philippines, Macedonia, Bangladesh, Indonesia, Pakistan, Qatar & Australia . The distinguished Guests of Honour at the Indian Online Committee, held on the 3rd and 4th of October 2024, included Ms. Bhavisha, founder of Rootskills. At the International Online Committee, Dr. Dary Dacanay, Director of Academics at St. Patrick's School in the Philippines, graced the event as Guest of Honour, along with Ms. Sapna Sukul, COO of the Boarding School Association of India and Founder of Edustart Solutions, and Hayal Koksal, Associate Professor for HE Studies in Turkey.

The Opening Ceremony on 6^th October 24 welcomed the Chief Guest Dr. Saroj Suman Gulati, Director of BBGS who commended the participants and officially declared BBIMUN 2024 open. Mr Abhishek Anand, Founder & Director, Mentors Capital, Major Mohammad Ali Shah, TEDX Motivational Speaker , Mr Krishan Kumar Gaur, Key member of DRIIV , Mr Divik  & Mr Nakul , Ms Reshma Dang, Founder Skill-o-Gram were the Guests of Honour. Mudit Marwah, legal executive at EXL, was the Chief advisor of BBIMUN’24. The Opening Ceremony commenced with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp followed by the melodious rendition of the song ‘Nar ho na nirash karo mann’ ko....’ Ms. Alka Singh, Principal of the school accorded a formal welcome to all the eminent dignitaries and bestowed all her blessings to the delegates for the two days of fierce debating. Srishti Sanjay, the Deputy Secretary General emphasized that BBIMUN would provide a deeply enriching learning experience.

The Chief Guest for the Closing Ceremony on 7^th October 24 was Gen G. D. Bakshi, SMVSM. Captain Indu Boken, District Education Officer, Gurugram, Ms. Anjali Anand, Associate Vice President of International Admission and Strategic Advisor of President  Wesleyan College, Mr. Ankur Jain, Founder  and Director of Pearl Academy, Mr KVPD Prabhu and Ms Pooja Malhotra, SIDBI , Mr Amrit Jaggi, Pearl Academy were the guests of honour for the day. The occasion was blessed with the gracious presence of  Dr. Saroj Suman Gulati, Director, BBGS. General GD Bakshi gave a thunderous speech insisting on the collaborative efforts and partnerships across borders so that we can address the global crises that no nation can resolve alone. Armaan Sareen(Secretary General), Mannat(Director General),Ms Manisha Singh(MUN Coordinator and Ms Alka Singh(Charge de Affaires) shared their experiences. Mr Yogesh Sharma (Chef de Cabinet)thanked the sponsors. The Executive Board, made up of seasoned MUNers, played a pivotal role in guiding the young participants toward meaningful outcomes. A powerful group dance performance on the theme “Never Give Up” mesmerized the audience, delivering a poignant message of global unit. The ceremony beautifully revisited each stage of the event, allowing everyone to relive the highlights of discussions and negotiations through a captivating snapshot ‘Montage’ by Parth Sachdeva , XII  and Bhavik Khatter, XI .

Three government schools from Gurugram partook in the event  and the school proudly gave the message of fostering lasting bonds of companionship.

The result of the conference was declared, and the achievers were felicitated by the Director of the school and honoured guests. The Outstanding School Delegation Award was bagged by Amity International School, Sector 46 and the Best School Delegation Award was clinched by Ridge Valley School, Gurugram.

It served as a heartfelt reminder of our interconnectedness and shared humanity, reinforcing the idea that we will persevere through any challenges that arise.

WORKSHOP ON ANTI BULLYING AND PEER PRESSURE

"Resist peer pressure and bullying—true strength is in lifting others, not bringing them down."

Creating a safe environment for children, right from their homes to their schools and back is a prime concern for educators today. When we talk about safety, we mean being safe from all kinds of abuse, violence, and psycho-social issues. School is a child's second home, and we at Blue Bells Model School are committed to creating a safe and healthy environment for students and promoting a secure and supportive learning atmosphere where each one is given the space to learn, grow and explore.

Recent research in school education indicates that bullying and peer pressure are major issues affecting students' well-being and self-esteem. To address this issue, an awareness session on Anti-Bullying and Peer Pressure was organized for students of Grades VI to VIII on September 25, 2024 under the esteemed guidance of Dr. Alka Saxena, Deputy Director (Health & Wellness), Blue Bells Group of Schools.

Ms. Vashist’s workshop focused on the effects of peer pressure and bullying, using two images: one depicting a boy mocked for his hairstyle and another showing group laughter at his expense. She defined bullying as intentional harm contrasted with harmless teasing, and introduced the "five-second rule" to differentiate between brief laughter and persistent bullying. The workshop covered both spoken and unspoken peer pressure.

A metaphor involving a lion(bully), hyenas(supporters), and antelopes(bystanders) was used to explain bullying dynamics. The session concluded by discussing why individuals are targeted-those who stand out (tall poppies), passive individuals and accidental victims. The students were encouraged to respond to bullying calmly and assertively and to seek adult help. The students were reinforced with some strategies that can be incorporated in responding to any sort of bullying.

The workshop was a sincere effort to create a supportive and respectful community, encouraging kindness, promoting inclusion and ensuring that every student feels valued and respected.

A workshop on "Understanding Emotions" was organised on September 18, 2024, at Blue Bells Model School, Gurugram, for Primary Wing facilitators of the Blue Bells Group of Schools. The session, led by Dr. Alka Saxena, Deputy Director (Health & Wellness), BBGS, and supported by the Resource Center Team, aimed to empower the teaching faculty with a holistic understanding of emotions.

Dr. Saxena highlighted the diverse ways emotions impact our physical and mental well-being, emphasizing the importance of emotional awareness and regulation. The workshop promoted a healthier understanding of emotions and their effects on individuals through experiential activities such as role-plays, reflections, and creating relevant jingles. The participants found the workshop enlightening and valuable. Ms. Kiran Rawat, Primary Wing Incharge, BBMS, proposed the Vote of Thanks, expressing gratitude on behalf of the management and teachers to Dr. Saxena for her continued efforts in curating quality workshops for teacher capacity building.
