The young generation of our country can lead our nation to scale greater heights through dedication, diligence and conviction. Keeping in mind the noble objective of Mahatma Gandhi and following the footsteps of our Prime Minister, Sri NarendraModi, a Cleanliness Campaign, ‘Clean School Green School’ was initiated by Blue Bells Model School, Gurgaon from October 2,to 31,2014 to promote a sense of responsibility towards oneself, its surroundings and community hygiene. An array of activities were organized throughout the month for the students of classes III to X. The students of Primary Wing  participated in the campaign with full gusto. They initiated the month by cleaning their own classes as charity begins at home. They wrote slogans in Hindi on ‘Mera Swatch Bharat’, composed poem on ‘My Clean Green Dream’, participated in a quiz on ‘Sanitation’ and made posters on ‘Clean India’. They also attended an assembly that showcased the importance of cleanliness in one’s life and society. They watched a video on ‘How to keep our surroundings clean’and expressed their views and opinions. Students of VI to VIII wrote beautiful self-composed poem on ‘Cleanliness’, participated in Slogan Writng on ‘Swach Bharat’, designed power point presentation on ‘Green and Clean Energy’ and brought out their thoughts in making ‘Movie’ on the theme ‘Cleanliness. Students of classes IX and X staged one act play voicing their concern to see India  neat and clean.To reinforce the Swachh Bharat Mission, the school organized ‘ShraamDaan’ where the Bluebellians exhibited their wholehearted involvement. The students’ endeavour in cleaning the vicinity area – Ram Park, school periphery and sector 4 market area, set a perfect example for the onlookers that small contribution from everyone can bring a sea change and make our country look cleaner. Beautiful slogans and striking placards indeed created such an impact that the neighbours and passers-by joined the rally and lent a helping hand in the great mission. Through this noble act, the students proved that they are indeed the torchbearers of future India.
