Earth Day is a global reminder of our shared responsibility to protect and preserve the environment. To mark this important occasion, students of Class V-D presented a thoughtful and inspiring assembly on Monday, April 20, 2026.

The assembly began with the regular features – school prayer, pledge, and school song, followed by the thought for the day, vocabulary words, and news updates. The highlight of the assembly was a poem, “Earth – Our Home,” which beautifully depicted how our actions impact the planet through scenes from the past, present, and future. It conveyed a powerful message on the urgent need to act responsibly and take care of Mother Earth. The students pledged to keep the Earth clean and green and understood that even small steps can lead to big changes.

The assembly also included a heartfelt tribute to our Founder, Shri B.D. Gulati, honouring his inspiring legacy and noble vision. The students spoke about Sir’s deep concern for the environment and his belief in nurturing young minds to become responsible citizens who care for nature and society.

Vice Principal, Ms. Anshu Mallika, also addressed the gathering and shared insights on Sir’s profound concern for the environment. She emphasised his vision of building a sustainable future and motivating students to grow into responsible individuals who value, preserve, and care for nature.

Primary Wing Leader, Ms. Chandrani, addressed the gathering and encouraged students to be Earth warriors – conscious and caring individuals who contribute positively to the planet.

The assembly ended on a patriotic note with the National Anthem, leaving everyone inspired to make every day an Earth Day.

Various engaging and meaningful activities were also conducted in the Primary Wing to celebrate Earth Day. Grade 3 students created Seed Bombs to promote greenery, while Grade 4 designed Reminder Cards on energy-saving habits. Grade 5 students crafted envelopes using reusable and organic material and wrote Promise Letters to Earth, expressing their commitment towards protecting the planet. The activities were creative and inspiring, encouraging environmental awareness and responsible actions among students.
