GPSC Gurugram Sahodaya Meeting
The Gurugram
Progressive Schools’ Council (GPSC) convened its meeting on 23 May 2026 at Blue
Bells Model School, Gurugram, bringing together school leaders and educators
from member schools to engage in meaningful dialogue on contemporary
educational practices and future-ready learning.
The
programme commenced with a warm welcome to the distinguished delegates,
highlighting the significant role of GPSC as a collaborative platform fostering
innovation, academic excellence, and professional growth among over 60 schools
of Gurugram. The gathering also paid tribute to the visionary founder members
whose dedication laid the strong foundation of the council.
A special
highlight of the event was the presence of Mr. Mikin Lala, education
innovator, entrepreneur, and member of the CBSE Curriculum Committee for
Computational Thinking and Artificial Intelligence. He was accorded an
eco-friendly welcome by Ms. Alka Singh, Chairperson, GPSC Gurugram Sahodaya.
The
ceremonial lamp lighting symbolized the collective commitment of educators
towards enlightenment, harmony, and the transformative power of education. This
was followed by a vibrant cultural presentation by the students, adding colour
and energy to the occasion.
In her
formal address, Ms. Alka Singh welcomed the esteemed guests and delegates and
reaffirmed GPSC’s commitment to nurturing responsible, empowered, and
future-ready learners. The gathering was also briefed about the GPSC XXIV
Annual Convention 2026, themed “Chaitanya: The Awakening – Awaken • Act
• Transform,” which emphasized holistic learning, emotional well-being,
conscious classrooms, digital citizenship, and the integration of values with
technology.
The keynote
session by Mr. Mikin Lala on “Implementation of Computational
Thinking and Artificial Intelligence” proved highly enriching. Drawing upon
his extensive experience in curriculum design and educational innovation, he
shared valuable insights into integrating Computational Thinking and AI into
school education. He emphasized the importance of nurturing logical reasoning,
problem-solving abilities, creativity, and critical thinking among students to
prepare them for the evolving demands of the 21st century. His practical
suggestions and forward-looking perspective inspired school leaders and
educators to embrace innovative pedagogical approaches aligned with the vision
of NEP 2020.
The meeting
concluded with a heartfelt Vote of Thanks, expressing gratitude to the
distinguished speaker, the leadership of GPSC, participating principals, and
all those who contributed to the success of the event. The gathering reaffirmed
the collective commitment of the educational community towards collaboration,
innovation, and excellence in shaping the future of learning.
