EXPERIENTIAL LEARNING – INDUSTRIAL VISIT BY THE STUDENTS

Industrial visit enhances the learning curve of a student and is an important part of the School curriculum as theoretical knowledge coupled with practical learning paves way for a glorious future. With an aim to go beyond academics, industrial visit provides student a practical perspective on the world of work, in sync with the same to equip the students with real working of a fashion unit , a group of students from Fashion Studies visited   the Cotton Crafters Factory, ITM Manesar, which manufactured finished goods such as handbags, duffle bags, and backpacks on November 18, 2019 .

The school team was addressed by Mr. Shailesh Mital, President, Cotton Crafters.  They were taken on  a detailed tour of the premises along with explanation of each procedure to convert the raw material into a bag. A brief was given on the Security Systems along with the Emergency Fire Insulation Department. All the queries of the students were answered aptly. The students were impressed by the functioning and planning of things in the unit wherein efficient merging of Human Resource Department along with their Department for Corporate Social Responsibility was the highlight. Mr. Mital told the school team about how he got an idea of assigning special designation amongst the staff itself to act under emergency situations and ensure everybody’s safety. It was a unique learning experience for the school team.
