CBSE Kaushal Bodh Capacity Building Programme: Advancing Skill-Based Education

Blue Bells Model School, Sector-4, Gurugram, successfully hosted a one-day CBSE Skill Education Implementation Capacity Building Programme on Kaushal Bodh on 16 December 2025. The programme witnessed enthusiastic participation of nearly 200 educators from Delhi, Haryana, and neighbouring regions, reflecting a strong collective commitment towards strengthening skill education in alignment with NEP 2020 and NCFSE 2023. The occasion was graced by Ms Soumya Gulati, Associate Director – Academic Development and Innovation, whose presence lent academic depth and encouragement to the proceedings.

The workshop began with a warm welcome, registration, and a brief meditation session, setting a reflective and focused tone for the day. Interactive ice-breaker activities helped participants connect meaningfully and established collaborative group norms. The sessions were expertly conducted by CBSE resource persons Dr Shyda Rana, Dr Shalini Verma, Ms Alka Singh, and Ms Mona Sharma, who guided educators through the conceptual and practical dimensions of vocational education at the middle stage.

Participants gained a comprehensive understanding of the mandate and framework of skill education under NEP and NCFSE, with focused discussions on the philosophy of Kaushal Bodh, its curricular goals, competencies, and learning outcomes. A deep dive into project-based learning, the three forms of work, and the structure and flow of projects enabled teachers to visualise effective classroom implementation. Hands-on activities such as Kaushal Charades, skills identification from projects, case studies, and participant presentations enriched the learning experience.

The workshop also addressed assessment strategies under Kaushal Bodh, introducing appropriate tools and techniques to evaluate skill-based learning meaningfully. The programme concluded with feedback and actionable takeaways, empowering educators to integrate Kaushal Bodh confidently into school timetables and learning spaces, thereby fostering experiential and future-ready education.
