LANGUE’--A FESTIVAL OF LANGUAGES
‘You live a new life for every language
you speak.’
It is rightly said that knowledge of languages is a
doorway to wisdom. A different language is a different vision
of life which contributes in transcending barriers and strengthening emotional
bindings across humanity. In an effort to celebrate the grandeur of languages
and appreciate them in their varied moods and genres, Blue Bells Model School
organized ‘La Fete De La Langue’-A
Festival of Languages on November 29 & 30, 2019 under the aegis of GPSC. The event was an earnest effort
to expand horizons and comprehend the galore of languages. Ms.
Soumya Gulati, Deputy Director, Academic Development and Innovation BBGS, graced the occasion as the chief guest.The two-day mega event commenced with the lighting of
the ceremonial lamp with the
accompaniment of shloka recital and a prayer ensembleof all the religions. The Principal of the school
accorded a warm welcome to the august gathering emphasizing the key role that
language plays in one’s life. An energetic and vibrant rap on A-Z of words kindled a beaming spark to the grand
celebration. Ms. Soumya Gulati declared the event openin the midst of talented
and over enthusiastic contestants.
Day one witnessed the
ardent competitors from 20 prestigious schools from across Gurugram passionately
participating in events like Shravan &Chitrankan, NitiShatak Shloka Gayan, Grammothon-
Grammar Relay Race and Trans Occidentales- East Meets West. Students from
grades III to VI from the various schools showcased their multifaceted prowess
in the events and earned a huge applause from the spectators.
Day 2 unfolded a
different chapter for language fans who fervently participated in a myriad of
competitions like Les Jingles Publicitaires Advertisement with Jingle Making,
Lingua Arte’ Self Composed Poetry with Illustration, Dram-E-Tale Theatrical
Presentation on Short Stories, Chaupiyan Enactment from Ramcharitmanas, , Contra
Opinion, Blog Writing, Unleash the
Flash’ : On The Spot Theme Photography and Click -A -Story ( Story Board). Students
from all the schools wholeheartedly took part in all the events and astounded
the jury members through their multidimensional expertise in all the fields.
Mr. Deepak Vohra, the special
adviser to the Prime Minister of India, Lesotho and Guinea-Bissau was
the Chief Guest for the valedictory ceremony. A dance drama
presentation on ‘Origin Of Languages’wrapped the gala event and set
the mood of the achievers to get felicitated by the Chief Guest.The kaleidoscopic glimpses of the various venues were
mirrored through a Power Point Presentation. The Overall Trophy
was won by Blue Bells Public School Sec-10 Gurugram .Mr. Deepak Vohra addressed the students and initiated a spark
of being proud as an Indian . The moment of the Closing –cum - Valedictory Ceremony became momentous when
Mr. Ashish Gulati, Vice Chairman , Blue Bells Group of School blessed all with
