Breast Cancer Awareness

Model School celebrated Mother’s Day on 9 May 2026 with great warmth and
enthusiasm, creating a memorable morning dedicated to honouring the
unconditional love, strength and sacrifices of mothers. The event commenced
with a heartfelt introduction that beautifully highlighted the irreplaceable
role of mothers in shaping lives with care and compassion.
The
programme began with a Green Welcome
for the distinguished guests, including respected Dr Saroj Suman Gulati,
Director, Blue Bells Group of Schools, Principal Ms. Alka Singh, and eminent
oncologists Dr. Hari Goyal , Chief of
Medical Oncology, Artemis Hospital and Dr.
Smita B. Choudhury , Attending Consultant of Medical Oncology, Artemis
Hospital, Gurugram. This was followed by the ceremonial Diya Lighting, symbolising positivity and hope.
Students
captivated the audience with a soulful musical performance and an emotional
mime act that portrayed the silent sacrifices and unconditional love of
mothers. Principal Ma’am addressed the gathering and shared inspiring thoughts
on the significance of motherhood.
A major
highlight of the celebration was an enlightening Breast Cancer Awareness Session conducted by Dr. Hari Goyal and
Dr. Smita B. Choudhury. They educated mothers about the rising cases of breast
cancer in India, emphasised the importance of early detection, regular health check-ups, preventive care, and
encouraged women to prioritise their health. The session was highly informative
and deeply impactful.
The
celebration concluded on a joyful note with engaging activities such as Antakshari, ramp walk, and vibrant dance
performances, followed by a heartfelt vote of thanks, making the day
truly unforgettable for all mothers present.
