STEM WORKSHOP

A one-day STEM Workshop was organized on 15 July 2025, at Blue Bells Model School, Gurugram aiming to enhance teachers' understanding and integration of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) education into their teaching practices. The workshop witnessed enthusiastic participation from educators across various departments.

 

The event began with the traditional lighting of the lamp, symbolizing the dispelling of darkness and the ushering in of knowledge. Ms. Alka Singh, Principal, of the school welcomed the gathering and emphasized the importance of interdisciplinary learning in the 21st-century classroom.

 

The session was conducted by Mr Sunil Bajaj (Additional Director, SCERT , Gurugram , Haryana), Ms. Akanksha Arora(Director, Educator Network ), Dr Ashok Sharma(Additional Professor in Biochemistry , AIIMS), Dr Shashikant Gupta (Professor, Physics in GD Goenka University) who are experts in STEM pedagogy and innovation. With vast experience in curriculum design and hands-on training, they shared valuable insights into the relevance of STEM in shaping future-ready learners.

 

The workshop included interactive activities, group tasks, and technology-integrated teaching demonstrations. Teachers were introduced to innovative teaching methodologies, inquiry-based learning, integration of coding and the application of real-life problem-solving skills in classroom instruction.

Participants appreciated the hands-on exposure and the opportunity to engage in collaborative learning. The workshop successfully inspired teachers to adopt STEM-based approaches and to create engaging, experiential learning environments for students.

 

The day concluded with a feedback session and a heartfelt vote of thanks delivered by Ms Anshu Malika Kumar (Vice Principal). She expressed sincere gratitude to the resource persons for their insightful and thought-provoking sessions, and to the organizing team for their meticulous planning and execution. Special thanks were extended to the school management for their unwavering support in promoting professional development opportunities for teachers. She also appreciated the enthusiastic participation of all educators.

This STEM workshop proved to be a transformative experience, fostering innovation, critical thinking, and a forward-looking educational approach.
