YOGA SESSION (VI-VIII)

Blue Bells Model School organized a rejuvenating three-day Yoga session for its middle wing students from September 27th to 29th, 2023. Recognizing the immense benefits of Yoga, the school aimed to promote better health and mental well-being among its students. The sessions were meticulously planned, catering to different grades each day. Grade 7 students experienced the calming effects of Yoga on the first day, followed by Grade 6 on the second, and Grade 8 on the third day.

During the sessions, students were introduced to various Yoga postures such as Tadasana, Padhastasana, Sashankasana, Bhadrasana, Naukasana, and Brahmani Pranayama, among others. These asanas were carefully selected for their effectiveness in releasing stress and promoting physical and mental balance. The students not only learned the techniques but also understood the associated benefits, which ranged from improved flexibility to enhanced focus and concentration. Each session concluded with the spiritual chanting of Aum, creating a serene atmosphere that resonated with inner peace and tranquillity. The event not only instilled in students the importance of holistic well-being but also provided them with practical tools to manage stress and maintain a healthy body and mind.

BLUE NUDGE AMBASSADOR

Blue Nudge intends to integrate waste management, sustainability and academic curriculum and in a commendable initiative it awarded badges to the  selected students who will be the Blue Nudge Ambassadors for the school. The ceremony, held recently, celebrated these students for their dedication and leadership. These ambassadors will serve as inspiring role models, encouraging their peers to make thoughtful choices and contribute to a harmonious school community.

These ambassadors will actively engage in promoting a harmonious school community by organizing awareness campaigns, workshops, and activities that foster understanding and inclusivity

These Blue Nudge Ambassadors serve as beacons of positive behaviour, nurturing a school culture where empathy, understanding, and cooperation are not just values but a way of life.

CLEANLINESS CHALLENGE DRIVE

In adherence to our commitment towards maintaining a clean and hygienic environment, Blue Bells Model School successfully initiated a cleanliness Challenge Drive, Swachhta Pakhwada . Understanding that the responsibility of cleanliness lies with each one of us, the school embarked on this journey to instill good habits that will be sustained over time.

Under the vigilant supervision, our students actively participated in the cleanliness drive, ensuring that our classrooms and school premises were spotless. In addition to this, our students also undertook ‘Shramdaan’ , the commendable task of cleaning the school arena and the neighbouring Ram Park. Their dedication and hard work were evident as they diligently picked up litter, organized materials, and ensured the surroundings were free from waste.

To maintain transparency and encourage healthy competition, we displayed daily cleanliness positions. This motivated our students to consistently uphold the cleanliness standards set by the school.

We believe that these initiatives not only inculcate a sense of responsibility among our students but also foster a strong community spirit. The Cleanliness Challenge Drive has not only transformed our school environment but has also created awareness about the importance of cleanliness in our neighbourhood.

Together, we have taken a significant step towards a cleaner and healthier future for our school and community.

International Connect

International connections among schools play a pivotal role in shaping informed, culturally sensitive and globally aware individuals. By fostering these connections, Blue Bells Model School aims at shaping the leaders and innovators of a globally integrated future.

Keeping in sync with this ethos, the senior wing students of classes XI and XII participated in the International Connect hosted by Funlish Language School on October 6, 2023, via Google Meet. The topic of the meet was Pattern of Climate Change in your city.

The session witnessed the participation from the renowned schools of Delhi, NCR, Mumbai, Ooty, Jakarta and Lahore. The speakers from various schools showcased the Pattern of climate change in their respective cities via power point presentations. The presenters spoke at length about the significant and long-term alterations in the Earth's climate patterns primarily driven by human activities including the burning of fossil fuels, deforestation, industrial processes and agriculture. These activities release greenhouse gases into the atmosphere leading to an enhanced greenhouse effect and global warming.

The healthy discussion was followed by a question answer session. The session ended on the unanimous thought of efforts to be made globally and locally to mitigate and adapt to these climate change impacts through sustainable development practices, better waste management, renewable energy adoption, efficient water use and public awareness campaigns.

It is imperative that schools prioritize and invest in initiatives that facilitate and nurture these international connections to prepare the youth for the challenges and opportunities of an interdependent world.

GRANDPARENTS’ DAY CELEBRATION

Grandparents are a delightful blend of laughter, caring deeds, wonderful stories and love.

Grandparents are the family’s greatest treasure, the founders of a loving legacy, the greatest storytellers, and the keepers of tradition. Grandparents are the family’s strong foundation. Through their special love and care, grandparents keep a family close at heart. To show our love and affection and to honour them, Blue Bells Model School celebrated Grandparents Day and presented a vibrant and colourful show on the Theme: ‘Sanskaar’.

The programme began with the auspicious lighting of the lamp followed by a soulful Vandana. Power packed dance performance by students left everyone spellbound and thoroughly mesmerized. The event beheld the gracious presence of Dr Saroj Suman Gulati, Director, Blue Bells Group of Schools. Ma’am addressed the audience and asserted the importance of having elderly people around us. Showcasing gratitude and to make the event more entertaining, a Ramp Walk and interesting Antakshari was conducted. Middle Wing In charge, Madam Anshu Mallika Kumar addressed the gathering and encouraged the students for putting up scintillating performances for their grandparents. The event was neatly woven, earning the praises of all the grandparents. Vote of Thanks was proposed by Primary Wing In charge, Ms Pallavi Sinha who expressed profound gratitude to the deeply loved grandparents and organizing committee.

The immense support and love received from the grandparents has helped the school move headway focussing on all the scholastic and co-scholastic areas without facing any hindrance in the student’s learning.

CBSE SKILL EXPO 2023

The Central Board of Education organized a significant CBSE Skill Expo and National Guidance Festival – 2023 on September 19th and 20th, 2023 which was held at the prestigious ICAR Auditorium. The summit included engaging panel discussions featuring keynote speakers and renowned educators from around the world. Additionally, it highlighted a Skill Expo featuring schools from across the country, where students had the chance to demonstrate their commitment to Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and innovative sustainability initiatives.

Himank Taneja, Class VIII B and Atishay Jain, Class IX A from Blue Bells Model School exhibited exceptional skills and creativity during their participation in the Skill Expo. They presented innovative projects that were not only well-received but also aligned with the principles of sustainability and the SDGs. The school displayed Terracotta AC and Landslide Mitigator under the theme Sustainability and Conservation of Environment and Future Tech respectively. Madam Nidhi Chhiber, CBSE Chairperson and Dr Abhay Jere, Chief Innovation Officer, Ministry of HRD Govt. of India visited our stall and appreciated and encouraged our students for their innovative approach towards sustainability.

The CBSE Skill Expo and National Guidance Festival – 2023 was a resounding success, offering a platform for students to showcase their talents, exchange ideas, and contribute to the discourse on education and sustainability.

The participation of students from Blue Bells Model School was a testament to the school's commitment to nurturing talent and promoting holistic education.

CUET WORKSHOP

CUET Aspirants Counseling Session at BBMS

The counseling session for CUET (Central University Entrance Test) aspirants, conducted by Mr. Aditya Jain, an alumnus of MDI, and Ms. Aanchal Bansal, an alumna of FMS on September 26, 2023, at Blue Bells Model School, brought numerous positive aspects to the forefront. The workshop provided valuable insights into CUET exam patterns, selection criteria, and subject-specific guidance, giving aspirants a clearer understanding of the test. Mr. Jain and Ms. Bansal's interactive approach fostered a comfortable learning environment, enabling students to ask questions freely. Their emphasis on effective study techniques and time management strategies proved invaluable, equipping students with the tools they need for successful CUET preparation. Overall, the session was a valuable resource for CUET aspirants.

World Tourism Day

Summer Internship and Training Program

Blue Bells Model School is delighted to report that our students actively participated in a Summer Internship and Training Programme, facilitated by Fundlearn Foundation, Project Inclusion, That Benzene Ring organisation, Ziotran Company and Vigyantram.

Awantika Rishiraj (XD), Angad Gupta (XD), Pragya Sharma (XIIC), Simar Malhotra (XB) participated in Project Inclusion internship, Awantika & Angad were felicitated with the Top Intern Award. Sakhi Grover (XB), Sarv Pahuja (XII-E), Kartik Sharma (XII-E), Harshita (XII-D) Ihinaa Hans, Prachi, Bhavya Madan, Garvit Bajaj, Tanisha Rawat & Anvesha Gupta of XII-C participated in Fundlearn organisation’s internship. They showcased their excellence in the fields of content writing, graphic designing & marketing.

That Benzene Ring Organisation opened up the students to the fields of journalism. Sanvi Mehta (XA), Bhoomika Singh (XB), Harsh vats, Chehak Sharma, Lavanya Mittal, Kirti Kritaarth Vats of XI C and Vidhi Sehgal (XIE) participated as interns in this organisation. Sanvi Mehta got the Best Journalist Award. Special appreciation went to Smyan Banerjee, VI C and Arnav Arora , VI C for enthusiastic participation in Vigyantram .

Assembly was conducted to felicitate the interns wherein Ms. Fariya the founder of Project Inclusion, Ms. Shrin & Mr. Dhruv Lakhra the co-founders of That Benzene Ring Organisation were invited. They spoke on the importance of internships and motivated the students to achieve high with all their might and gave away the certificates. The internships were mentored by Ms. Sanjana Arora along with Raj Sardana and Riya Chawla of Grade XI.  

This opportunity allowed them to develop crucial skills, broaden their horizons, and foster a deeper understanding of various professional domains.
