Annual Sports Meet Showcases Outstanding Talent and Parental Involvement

In a spectacular display of athleticism and camaraderie, the Annual Sports Meet at Blue Bells Model School on 25^th January 2024 unfolded with great fervour and enthusiasm. Led by Sports Captain Reet Verma, the torch ceremony symbolized unity and peace, setting the stage for a day filled with spirited competitions. National and State winners, proud standard-bearers of their achievements, participated in the torch ceremony, enhancing the celebratory atmosphere. The Director of the school officially declared the event open, marking the beginning of a day where students showcased their passion in events such as the 100m and 200m Race, Balloon Relay, and the captivating Burst the Balloon Race.

One of the highlights of the event was the unique participation of parents in Athletasia, contributing to the strong Parent Connect ethos of the institution. The Kangaroo Race for Men and the Women's Balloon Burst Race witnessed enthusiastic parental involvement, underscoring the holistic engagement fostered by the school.

The ace winners received accolades and cash prizes, with Sanvi Aneja (IX), Harshit Sharma (IX), and Ahaana Gulati (V) receiving 21000/- each for their excellence in Badminton, NCC, and Chess, respectively. Recognizing merit, Divyanshi (VIII) in Badminton and Arya Ojha (IX) in NCC were also honoured with cash prizes of 11000/- and 5100/-, respectively. The prestigious title of Champion House was awarded to Indira Gandhi House , and the Director congratulated the winners, emphasizing the significance of sports in a student's life. The day's festivities were a testament to the students' unwavering commitment and dedication to their alma mater.

In pursuit of guiding students towards a successful and fulfilling future, Blue Bells Model School organized a career awareness session on 20^th January 2024 for the students and parents of grade X emphasizing the crucial aspect of stream selection and the subsequent career path. The session, conducted by the dynamic Mr Abhishek Gupta, alum of the school and Founder of High School Moms, largest Parent and student Community and a team of experienced mentors, aimed to enlighten students about the diverse opportunities available and help them make informed decisions about their academic journey.

Mr Abhishek Gupta shared valuable insights into various career options and the importance of aligning one's passion with their chosen field of study. The mentors, with their wealth of experience, provided personalized guidance to students, addressing queries and concerns related to stream selection. This interactive approach fostered a sense of clarity and confidence among the students, enabling them to make well-informed decisions about their academic and professional pursuits.

Blue Bells Model School's commitment to holistic education was evident, as students left the session not only with a better understanding of their academic options but also with a newfound enthusiasm to embark on their educational journey with purpose and determination.

75th REPUBLIC DAY CELEBRATION

As we celebrate the Republic Day, let's remember the true heroes of our nation who sacrificed their lives to give us freedom. Let's promise to uphold the values of our constitution and work towards the progress and unity of our nation.

Blue Bells Model School, Gurugram, commemorated the 75th Republic Day to honour the guiding principles of our constitution and contribute towards the development of our great nation on January 25, 2024. The distinguished Guests of the ceremony were Major General Yash Mor Sena Medal, Dr. Saroj Suman Gulati, Director, Blue Bells Group of Schools and Ms. Anshuka Aneja, Deputy Director, IT, BBGS.

The day’s proceedings commenced with the hoisting of the National Flag by Dr. Saroj Suman Gulati and Major General Yash Mor Sena Medal. As the tricolour fluttered high in the sky, each one took the pledge to take their country to its destination of becoming the greatest nation. March Past by NCC cadets lent a splendid sight and the distinguished Guest along with the Director Madam took the salute. It was followed by the spectacular presentation of the band. The students exhibited the mind-blowing coordination and rhythmic hand - body movements in the band.

Ms. Alka Singh, Principal gave formal welcome to the dignitaries and expressed that the Blue Bellians have been crafting soldiers since the inception of the school. Director Madam in her address stated that we should protect our motherland wholeheartedly and promise to contribute and preserve our precious heritage and culture.  Major General Yash Mor Sena Medal in his powerful address added that it is our national anthem that binds us all. He urged the students to work in unison for the progress of the nation as in the reigns of our nation's progress, students are the vibrant threads weaving the fabric of a promising future. It is upon their shoulders that the mantle of responsibility rests, and it is in their hands that the destiny of our great nation lies.

The spirit of patriotism was kept alive through a scintillating cultural programme which rekindled the feelings of love and emotional bondage with the motherland in the august gathering. The audience was spellbound witnessing the dance presentation of the talented Blue Bellians reflecting unity & diversity of our country.

Republic Day serves as a poignant reminder of our collective commitment to democracy, unity, and progress, inspiring us to strive for a harmonious and inclusive future for our nation.

VISIT TO 9th INDIA INTERNATIONAL SCIENCE FESTIVAL (IISF)

Science expos offer a fantastic avenue for students to explore their scientific acumen, unleash their creativity, and gain insights into ground-breaking ideas and discoveries in the realm of science.

 The India International Science Festival (IISF) is a collaborative endeavour of Ministry of Science and Technology, Ministry of Earth Sciences, Department of Space and Department of Atomic Energy in partnership with Vigyan Bharati- a science movement spearheaded by scientists of the nation with swadeshi spirit. IISF's primary objective to commemorate the world of science, making it accessible to all.

 Forty-two students from Blue Bells Model School, Gurugram visited the 9th India International Science Festival 2023 held at DBT-THSTI-RCB Campus, Faridabad, Haryana, on 20^th January 2024. The theme of this edition of IISF was 'Science and Technology Public Outreach in Amrit Kaal'.  The exhibition showcased technologies from various Indian research and development institutions, engaging students, scientists, educators, policymakers, and the public. Additionally, it highlighted initiatives like Aatma-Nirbhar Bharat, Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, Digital India, Make in India, and more. This event provided a unique opportunity for the learners to engage with scientists, gaining insights into complex scientific concepts.  The participation in the event by Blue-Bellians proved to be a catalytic force driving innovation and fostering the growth of technology in India, thereby contributing to the nation's position as a global technology hub.

CITATION CEREMONY 2023-24

"Embrace the chapters of your life, for the journey ahead is the adventure to unfold your purpose and potential."

As a student graduates, they carry a bag filled with memories that will become their strength in the years to come. Wearing the cap and gown is a moment of pride for teachers, parents, and certainly the students themselves. As the academic year drew to a close, Blue Bells Model School celebrated the Citation Ceremony for the outgoing Class XII 2023-24 on January 10, 2024 with enthusiasm. The event aimed to acknowledge the unique gifts of the graduating students and inspire them to refine their skills as they progress in life.

The ceremony began with the lighting of the Diya and shlok recitation, creating a divine ambience for blessings. Ms. Alka Singh, the Principal, welcomed the esteemed gathering and added that the students should embark on their journey with courage and purpose and their dreams must unfold like the pages of a captivating story. The highlight of the event was the reading of citations by class teachers, encapsulating academic achievements and co-curricular successes. Pride radiated from the students as they collected their citations from the Director, a treasure to cherish. The Director, addressing the gathering, blessed the students to excel in their future endeavours and become exemplary individuals.

With tearful eyes and radiant smiles, the Senior Ambassador, Head Boy, and Head Girl shared memorable experiences and preparedness for the challenges ahead. Parents also expressed their pride and shared their experiences as part of the Blue Bells family. A motivational song “Tu Jhukna Nahee” and enthusiastic dance “Ek Zindagi” by students captivated the audience. Each student lit a candle symbolizing their cognitive growth during their school years, seeking the blessings of parents and mentors. They received personalized citations, glorifying their journey from being ordinary to extraordinary leaders of tomorrow.

The graduation-gowned students bore witness to a beautiful emotional journey through their citations. The school song marked the end of the heart-warming event, though it was evident that the physical farewell was just a formality, as their hearts would remain connected. The ceremony concluded with sprinkles of blessings, as students left with the aim of making their alma mater proud in all aspects of life and stepping boldly towards their dreams and living the life they have envisioned.

Every great dream begins with a dreamer and you have within you the strength, the patience, and the passion to reach for the stars to change the world.

“I cannot say goodbye to those whom I have grown to love, for the memories we have made, will last a lifetime, and will never know a goodbye.” It’s a tough moment when one has drawn the curtain on one’s school life and forge ahead in pursuit of higher education. To make this moment more memorable, the students of class XI, hosted a Farewell Ceremony - ‘Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna 2024’ for the outgoing batch on January 12, 2024. The ceremony was filled with exuberance and zeal. The fiesta was devoted to the years spent together with friends and teachers and to reminisce joyous moments. The valedictory event began with the lightning of ceremonial lamp swathed with the chanting of Shloka. The students of Class XI put forth a mix of entertaining concert, scintillating dance performances, melodious songs and pulsating music that festooned the whole ambience and aptly set the momentum for other performances of the evening.

Schooldays are the most prized and golden days in one’s life. Unfolding memories of school days is a way of holding onto the things one loves to cherish and never wishes to lose them. A mesmerising ‘Talent Hunt Show’ which was conducted for the outgoing students enthralled the gathering. Titles were conferred on class XII students on the basis of their exhibited prowess. Muskan was crowned as Miss Blue Bells and Divyansh Kataria was conferred with Mr. Blue Bells.

To add a touch of sentimentality, a short video montage featuring cherished memories of the graduating class was presented. This visual journey down the memory lane left both students and teachers teary -eyed, reinforcing the bond between the institution and its graduating seniors.

VENTURE VERSE 2023

"The only way to discover the limits of the possible is to go beyond them into the impossible."

Innovation serves as a distinctive instrument for entrepreneurs, enabling them to view change as a gateway to novel business ventures and services. In a bid to foster innovation and unlock the vast potential within the student community, Blue Bells Model School proudly presented VENTURE VERSE 2023 on December 27, 2023. This event, spearheaded by the Unicorn Cell and the School Innovation Team, was a school-level ideation festival crafted to inspire students to think expansively and envision futuristic ideas.

VENTURE VERSE 2023 unfolded as a comprehensive 5-stage competition, commencing on November 24, 2023, and reaching its pinnacle on December 27, 2023. Throughout the competition, it cultivated a conducive ground where ideas flourished, and aspirations soared.

The event was graced by Dr. Saroj Suman Gulati, Director BBGS. The eminent jury members were Mr. Ankush Prakash Sharma, Innovation Officer at the Ministry of Education's Innovation Cell, All India Council for Technical Education Headquarters, Govt of India, Ms. Meeta Wasan Gujral, Founder and CEO of Doon Consulting Company, Mr. Ravi Kishor, the Deputy General Manager at Small Industries Development Bank of India and Mr Gaurav, the Head of Operations at Vigyantram Technology

Venture Verse 2023 began with the ceremonial lighting of diyas and the recital of shlokas. Ms. Alka Singh, the school's Principal, extended a formal welcome to distinguished guests, parents, and students. Emphasizing the role of students' innovative ideas in driving progress, she highlighted Venture Verse as a befitting platform for young entrepreneurs to showcase their potential. The guiding light and the student mentors of the entrepreneurial journey were Swasti Kwatra, Priant Sengupta, Hash Vats and Jiya Wadwa. Priant, being the key player in the core team apprised the audience about the challenges, triumphs, and the inspiring stories that had marked this extraordinary inaugural voyage.

The ultimate showdown unfolded amongst three teams: Catalyst Pitching representing the Primary Wing, Alchemist Pitching from the Middle Wing, and Synergists Pitching from the Senior Wing respectively. The competition showcased remarkable and groundbreaking ideas from the aspiring young entrepreneurs, captivating the audience. Victorious in the Primary Wing category was Lukesh Gupta from team Invincible Innovators for the product Sattu Shikanjvi. In the Middle Wing, the triumphant innovator was Hitansh Gahlot from the Team Hope for the product Smart Clothing and in the Senior Wing, the most deserving winner was Niharika Singh from the team Eco Vichar for the product that converts sound energy into electrical energy. Adding a touch of mystique to the overall atmosphere, a group dance performed on a thematic concept to save nature embellished the ambience. The Director, addressing the assembly, emphasized that Venture Verse 2023 celebrated the curious and creative minds of the students, showcasing extraordinary business ideas. Alongside the jury members, the Director extended felicitation to the winners and commended the organizing team. Anshu Kumar Malika, Middle Wing Incharge expressed gratitude by proposing the vote of thanks. The magnificent odyssey of Venture Verse 2023 reached its culmination with the rendition of the national anthem, marking the event as an exceptional success.

MATH WEEK CELEBRATION (PRIMARY WING)

In commemoration of the esteemed mathematician Dr. Ramanujan's birthday, the Primary Wing celebrated National Math Week with engaging activities across different classes, fostering a holistic approach to mathematical learning. Grade III  students showcased their creative side by composing self-written poems infused with mathematical themes. The activity aimed at reinforcing mathematical concepts through expressive and artistic means, enhancing the students' understanding of mathematical language. In Grade IV, students brought history to life by participating in role plays of their favorite mathematicians. The performances not only educated the audience about the lives and contributions of famous mathematicians but also showcased the students' research and presentation skills. Grade V students delved into the world of Vedic Math Tricks, exploring ancient techniques to enhance mental calculation and problem-solving skills. The hands-on session aimed to introduce students to the efficiency of Vedic Mathematics, promoting a curiosity for alternative problem-solving strategies.

Overall, the National Math Week activities in the Primary Wing successfully combined creativity, history, and practical skills, making Mathematics an enjoyable and accessible subject. The engagement and enthusiasm displayed by the students highlighted the effectiveness of incorporating diverse activities for a well-rounded mathematical learning experience.

CHRISTMAS CELEBRATION(PRIMARY WING)

Christmas Fun and Laughter Unleashed for Children

The magic of Christmas lies in the contagious laughter of children, as they unwrap the joy and excitement of the season.

Embracing the true essence of Christmas, the Primary Wing of Blue Bells Model School transformed into a haven of festive cheer on 22^nd December 2023 in the school premises. Bedecked in vibrant Santa Claus attire, both students and teachers immersed themselves in the joyous spirit of giving. The school, adorned with enchanting decorations, resonated with the melodies of Christmas carols and the lively dances of beautifully dressed students. A sea of red-clad participants engaged in the spirited competition of Musical Chairs, adding an extra layer of excitement to the festivities. As 'Jingle Bells' and 'We Wish You a Merry Christmas' filled the air, the event concluded with resounding Christmas greetings.

This joyous and amusing program not only celebrated the season but also created enduring memories for everyone involved in this magical Christmas celebration at Blue Bells Model School.

MIDDLE WING CHRISTMAS CELEBRATION

As we usher in the season of joy and togetherness, we are delighted to share a recap of our recent Christmas assembly, a vibrant tapestry of performances that encapsulated the spirit of the festive season. Our students showcased their talents, creativity, and the cultural richness that defines Blue Bells Model School.

The celebration commenced with a soul-stirring shloka rendition, symbolizing the universality of joy and emphasizing the importance of spreading love and harmony during this festive time. The resonant notes echoed the essence of Christmas, transcending cultural boundaries and uniting us all in a shared celebration of humanity.

Moving forward on a poetic journey the students brought to life the emotions and imagery embedded in an inspirational poem – IF by Rudyard Kipling – through a captivating enactment. The fusion of language and expression through mime transported everyone into an enchanting world of words and imagination, highlighting the power of poetry to create a visual spectacle.

In a creative twist, the students presented characters from Shakespeare's timeless play, Macbeth. Through this unique performance, parallels were drawn between the themes of ambition, redemption, and transformation in Macbeth and the messages of hope and renewal that Christmas embodies. It was a thought-provoking and engaging exploration of literature.

The linguistic diversity within the school community took center stage as one of our students recited a beautiful Christmas poem in Spanish. This recitation served as a reminder that the magic of Christmas transcends language barriers, fostering understanding and unity among us all. It was a celebration of the richness of our cultural tapestry.

The assembly reached its climax with a dynamic and fun-filled dance performance. Our talented dancers lit up the stage with infectious energy, spreading happiness and merriment throughout the assembly hall. It was a perfect way to conclude our celebration, leaving everyone with smiles and memories to cherish.
